The Star Wars section at Beastly Kingdom is rumored to be an ice planet. Possibly Hoth or a New One based on a planet from a future film or television show. The land may include Taun Tauns, a Wampa and other cold climate creatures.
Disclaimer: Everything I just mentioned is not guaranteed to happen. For now at least it has just been discussed behind closed doors.
Agreed. Anyone involved in major projects at Disney signs NDAs.Since you rumors are so specific and they are not being reported by anyone else, how has the person leaking this not gotten fired?
They are making this all up. It is fun though to speculate, however, there will not be a 5th gate in the next 10 years.Since you rumors are so specific and they are not being reported by anyone else, how has the person leaking this not gotten fired?

You can't fire someone whose retired.
Even if they did retire, they would still be under an NDA and could get into legal trouble.
I’m guessing that NDAs signed on projects that are in development would go past the retirement date. A company wouldn’t want you spreading what they have in development after you retire. Not necessarily. Some NDA's expire at the end of a contract term. And I've personally had to sign others that included a non-compete clause even after leaving the company/project (in some cases it was still binding for a period of time after project completion). In those cases, it was designed to protect corporate IP and patents.

And if that’s the case these concepts likely aren’t even being considered right now if they ever were.Likely as they would be structured in the contract, but if the time/duration has passed after leaving the company/project you would not be in violation. However, these developments would have had to been concepts awhile ago as to not be in breach.

True, but you can sue them, especially if they are under an NDAYou can't fire someone whose retired.
I know its fun to speculate about a 5th gate, but as consumers we really shouldn't want one. A 5th gate means another ticket purchase and another day vacation. On top of which Disney doesn't open full parks anymore. The last one that was close was epcot, and even that was still building living seas when it opened. Furthermore, it will cost them billions to set up all the infrastructure...billions that won't be spent in the existing parks. So we turn the clock back to 1998-2012.
I hate to rain on everyone's parade, but there is no conversation about a 5th gate right now. The last time it was even conceptualized was during Eisner. Iger has a different strategy. It makes more sense for them and us to keep expanding the existing parks.
Wouldn't 4-5 additional lands at the existing parks do the same? Or are you saying that the new park smell is just too enticing to guests that disney has to put them together in 1 park instead of spread through 4?I think that WE should want a 5th park because it would possibly spread crowds out. Rides, restaurants and stores seem to have gotten out of hand. Even the slowest times of the year aren't that slow. It was proven with Animal Kingdom's opening that the other parks attendances really went down. Spreading people out among more 5 parks would make it so people are less aggravated.
I think that DISNEY should want to do a 5th park to get ahead of Universal's 3rd one. Rumors say 2022-23 could be the opening date for "Fantastic Worlds". That means a 7th theme park and 10th overall including water parks (between Disney and Universal). That would make people want to split their trips up more between the 2 companies. If Disney were to make Dark Domain or Beastly Kingdom people would say "We don't have enough days to go to Universal, lets stick with Disney."
