@calypso726 how deep is the water right outside your bungalow? I have some fear of water, not as bad as yours, but no way would I get in at night!!!

It’s about 4 feet deep according to DH. Too deep for me to venture in past the steps. Earlier I saw this little guy at another part of the beach. He swam by singing “Baby shark doo doo doo doo doo doo” while I was watching and singing “Holy crap doo doo doo doo doo doo” so there’s like zero chance of me going in the water now.

I'm behind but trying to catch up. I had so much more time when I was on vacation or waiting in the airport! Now that I am back to work, no time to read or post.

I was trying to find the quote with yinz but can't. Originally from PA, not Pittsburgh but western PA nearer Altoona for those who might know the area. I didn't say Yinz but did say Younz. So much so that I asked in 3rd grade how to spell it for a report and was told that isn't a real word! Also, my mom is famous for worsh, worshington... My DH makes fun of that (not to her face). I didn't have that problem but do have to be thoughtful when I say color since I grew up saying it like keller. I sort of say it in my head before I say it out loud to make sure I am pronouncing it right.

I totally forgot about keller, I haven't heard anyone say that in years but I used to know people who did that too.

This weekend I need to really go through all my bank accounts and work on closing the ones I no longer need. Some are just not worth keeping. 5/3rd is trying to charge me $3 to transfer money out. Ummmh, I don't think so. I'll go to the branch and withdraw in person before I pay that fee. PNC is wonky and says my password is not working. I need to find some info so I can reset it. Once I do that, I'll change to the fee free version and leave only 500 there. The transfers from PNC take a long time (in my opinion) to go through. And I had to answer like 3 questions before it would work. I am all for security but really. I want to just transfer once I set up the external account. There is no way I'll keep this account around long-term.

I'll keep DH's Chase for a little while since it will work for a DD push. As much as I do not like PNC's online set up and security, I may still try to open another account for the bonus for DH.

For accounts that want an outbound transfer fee, pull it out from another account. There's rarely an inbound fee so it's usually easier to add the 5/3 account to the destination and initiate from there. I had to do that with Citizens as they also charged a $3 fee, I think BOA does too. I know what accounts I'm not using to try to fake a DD ;) (and why there's usually little DPs from them)

Popping in to report that Diamond status pays off and Hilton does so well on the customer service front. Dinner reservations for Ithaa were fully booked. We managed to get lunch reservations on Saturday though. While we were enjoying our complimentary breakfast at Atoll Marketplace the hostess for Ithaa came by to welcome us to the property and asked about our stay. I mentioned we were on the waitlist as they were fully booked. She called the manager and managed to work some magic and we now have reservations for this evening. Yay!!!

The most surprising thing of all is what I found at the boutique this morning and why I am posting it here. It’s a Disney board and y’all (well most of y’all) will understand why I am so excited! I found a print dress with Mickey Mouse and destinations of different countries with their respective maps! I normally don’t wear dresses but this was too cute to pass up. We are using our Aspire card and charging everything to the room so I should get somewhere between 14 and 34 points per dollar depending on how the Aspire card bonus and Diamond status kicker shake out.

Here’s the Disney/Travel hacking mash up dress. #whenworldscollide

Great pictures!! You look like a model!!

This would my first Citi card. Very interesting point about this mailer bypassing the 24 month language. Will definitely go to Dischurners to read your post.

So glad to hear you can book Disney with this card. Would be glad to accumulate that many points for a long overdue Disney trip. Will definitely look into seeing what public offer is available for this card very soon. And will definitely hold onto this mailer since I have until May 15th to respond .

ThanKs for the info.

Ok so I wanted to update this, just so I don't lead you astray.

DW's Premier bonus just posted, so I was poking around the travel portal this morning. Unfortunately, I can't find the Disney resorts anymore. I wonder if they were removed like with Chase? Swan and Dolphin ARE still there, as well as all of the immediate off-site hotels, but the on-site resorts are gone. That's a bummer.

Love your dress and you look so happy!! And thank you for the laugh this morning regarding "Baby shark a doo" vs. "Holy crap a doo". You can enjoy the beautiful scenery without dipping a toe in!

This is pretty much my DH
Let’s go to Disney
Ok
It’s our 30th anniversary. Let’s try an AK cruise
Ok
Maybe we should try NCL
No, Disney
Extent of conversation. I did ask him to plan some trip to National Parks this summer since DS is in 4th grade and admission is free. So far, crickets.
It’s our 10 year this year and we always talked about doing a big trip since our honeymoon was just a quick 3 days in savannah. Where are we going this year? Disney with the kids

AFs posted on my Amex Green and Schwab Plat. No offers on either one, but that wasn't surprising. Cancelled both. End of quite a year for me with the Schwab Plat - I cashed out hundreds of thousands of MRs between sign-up bonuses and support clicks. It was a good run! I stopped using all my Amex MR cards a couple of months ago so all of the pending points would post by the time the AF posted, so everything has been cashed out. I have less than 100 MR pending on future statements, so I think I timed that pretty well.

Onto the next chapter!

I just checked my CIP and I don't see it there. I see plenty of comments on DoC stating the same.

Luckily I have a detailed spreadsheet with every charge i've made, URs earned, amount remaining for MSR, and percent complete. Spreadsheets are our friends!
I think it's only for personal cards currently
This is the kind of hard hitting journalism we have all come to expect from Boarding Area. :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Bar Soap Expiration Date — Is It Still Safe to Use?

1. I agree about the massaging bar gimmick
2. I feel like we could have found q better source for the quote about staph auerus....
3. For a moment I thought it was going to say if the ingredients are organic or natural it lasts longer :P in my experience some people like to throw those words around like they are magical without understanding them lol

This is definitely the best thread on here. I was just discussing with a friend from another area of the boards here about how there is a lot of pressure on the right way to do Disney... not on this thread. Not only do we all do Disney however we please, we vacation all over the world however we please and we all support each other on our choices. If those people came here their heads would probably explode.

Also, I was going to do a mindblown gif or something and got this. You're welcome!

Does Chase allow a spouse to transfer ultimate rewards points to a spouse's Southwest account?

Does Chase allow a spouse to transfer ultimate rewards points to a spouse's Southwest account?

Do you mean like from your UR account to your spouse's SW account? No. I actually had my SW account in my maiden name and my UR account in my married name and couldn't even transfer URs then. You would need to transfer URs to your spouse's account (if they have a Chase account) and then transfer from there to SW.

Have you ever noticed that all of us that frequent this thread have WAY more likes than most people elsewhere on the DIS? Apparently we really enjoy encouraging and liking each other.

I don't frequent many threads on the DIS but I've always noticed that when I post (what I feel is) SUPER helpful info on the SW stickied thread that people are so stingy with the likes. There has to be a ton of people looking at that thread... It's crazy, at times, I literally am your google, you couldn't find the next SW release...I mean c'mon are you that lazy. And I (with no snark) provide you information, and it doesn't even receive 1 like...not even from the person who couldn't use GOOGLE!

So I looked at a page of THAT thread tonight...and an entire page (20 comments) had 7 likes TOTAL. No comment had more than one like. Meanwhile, page 761 here from just a couple hours ago here has like 70+ likes already with one of @wendow's comments having 15+ likes. Most of the regulars on our thread have more likes than comments - some by a huge margin!

I know we often comment on how the culture on OUR thread is different from the rest of the DIS - but maybe it starts with something as simple as likes. Knowing that people valued your contribution, that they liked what you had to say, that they appreciated you taking the time answer a question (even if it wasn't yours). I'll like things even if I disagree with them here, because what makes the thread great are people willing to contribute and give out advice. Maybe if people just liked comments more on these other threads they wouldn't turn into flaming heaps of dung so often, lol!

So I'm just rambling about "fake internet points" but there's a lot of reasons why this is the BEST corner of the DIS and maybe likes is the foundation of it all :thumbsup2 ::yes::
Consider this post LIKED :thumbsup2 & I completely agree.

Are you fishing for "likes" again?? Making sure you stay well ahead of @Lain

I agree with you though. We are very quick to "like" each other's post here and that makes everyone feel, well, liked! I find the same on other boards here on the DIS. People are quite stingy with their "likes". The exceptions would be the GC thread and SB's thread but many are posting here as well.

This is definitely the BEST place on the DIS. I almost left this board years ago cause I was so tired of getting chewed up and spit out all the time. I was shocked that people who were supposed to be sharing info about their favorite place could be so angry and in attack mode all the time. I was like, why are you here, posting on a Disney forum!?! Go hang out on 'hotheads anonymous' lol! Anyways, now you have me rambling about fake internet points :rotfl:
I go to the Restaurants board every few days (because things change so often - must try to keep up) & I don't understand why people there are always so mad. I don't get it.

Does Chase allow a spouse to transfer ultimate rewards points to a spouse's Southwest account?

You must be an authorized user on one of the cards that can transfer, CSR, CSP or CIP, and then you can transfer from that account. If you are not an AU then you can not do it.

Ahhh. Spouse just got the southwest companion pass on this year's offer (good until the end of the year).
If my husband already has a CSP, would I likely be rejected for the CSP if I added him as an authorized user on my application?
Trying to drum up some Southwest points under his account to combine with the companion pass.
