Man, I disappear from this place for a few weeks and end up 15 pages and a whole trip behind I caught up on everything though and look forward to hearing about more of your adventures!

Got my appointment all set up!

I needed a cut and color desperately haha! I should be good for a little while now.

We love those spring rolls! I don't remember the crab and cheese wontons being on the menu before? Maybe they're new, I'll definitely be trying them next month

Both of these choices were so delicious and both had just been made so a definite plus!

And I loved this but with the gin Chris had it without and enjoyed it. Such a refreshing drink! Glad you enjoyed your first round at F&G and glad you were happy with your room at CSR. We've always been in Casitas even when we don't request it and we do like that area, but Cabanas would be our 2nd choice.

I bet it is good with the gin! I found it very refreshing and the cucumber was not overpowering.
Our room was in a decent spot, very quiet overall, except by 7am every morning we could here the “beep beep” of the wok vehicles! I was usually always up and going by then but this could have been annoying if you wanted to sleep in a little!

MK evening. A crowded park and awful monorail ride!
We had rested for a couple hours in the room, this was nice. We checked the bus app and decided to head out to our bus stop #4 for a ride to MK.

I took a few more pictures of the resort area before we left.

The bus stop was just across the 8B parking lot, very close to our room. We didn’t wait long and a bus was picking us up. We would then make 1 additional stop at the front of the main lobby area. This stop did look temporary because of the construction.

I really liked how centrally located this resort was to all the parks. This was a big plus!

We arrived at MK with all the other WDW guests! MK was very busy this evening.

We went in Tomorrow Land with the intention of getting on a favorite of ours, PM, and this had a ridiculously long line. The line wrapped around several times. Buzz Lightyear had a 75 minute wait, yikes! Here is a picture of the mass of people waiting on the PM.

We decided to ride CoP, always a good choice on a crowded day. It was around 5:00pm. We had some time before our HM FP and we wanted to try the Hei Hei cone, however, it was not on the mobile order menu The line was way to long to wait in, we decided to pass for now.

It was HM time, yay! We love this ride and we both had on our HM shirts. It is fun to see people trying to read Andi’s shirt and many don’t get it at all. It is the ghost host’s lines in the shrinking room.

We wandered into Fantasy Land and it was very busy. We checked out Gaston’s area for a little while. All the rides had 45+ minute waites, even Under the Sea, IASW, and Dumbo

We did another fun favorite on crowded days, Philharmagic, always an enjoyable show!

It was time for Peter Pan, I love this ride and we always try to ride on the first day! It was fun as expected!

We looked around Big Top to pass some time before our 7DMT FP. The smell in the Big Top is so yummy. I thought we would see more Dumbo related merchandise with the movie premiere only a few days away. We didn’t see much.

It was time for 7DMT, I enjoyed my ride! This is such a fun ride even though it is so short! We again noticed many a clueless guest. Several would just walk up to the FP area and ask to buy a FP on the spot or just assumed their ticket gave them front of the line perks really people, do your homework!!


We were not enjoying all the people and were getting hungry. I was wanting the wonderful pulled pork nachos at the Poly and I knew they had vegetarian choices for Andi.

We took the monorail to the Poly, big mistake! It was so crowded with rude pushy people. We get on way in the back and at the TCC a mom, dad, and kid get on. We should have just got off here and walked, we didn’t another big mistake! The kid was around 4 and the parents totally ignored him, he comes up to Andi and starts spitting on her, yes actual gobs of spit. She started to freak out a little (all inside). It was so crowded we couldn’t really move, I told him not to do that and finally the dad said something, it was a little late. We got off and Andi said she was having a panic attack from this, yikes. I calmed her down and she went in the bathroom to get cleaned up. All I can say is how rude and what is wrong with people!!

I went in line to order our food and it was another 20 minute wait at least! The QS places were so bad this trip. I got Andi the vegetarian Pan Asian Noodles and I got the glorious Pulled Pork Nachos.
Andi found us a seat and she was recovered from the spit incident. I was glad she was able to eat her noodles.


The food was delicious, thank goodness after the trauma of getting it! The noodles were very fresh, flavorful and hot! The Nachos were so yummy! I ate way to many of them. We were full and unable to find room for a dole whip. We got a Lyft ride back to CSR, Andi promptly took a shower and to bed we went. The room was quiet and the beds super comfortable!

Glad you had your fast passes to enjoy some rides in the park. We had crowd issues too but such is spring break at Disney!

Poor Andi! That is horrible! Parents need to watch their children as that should have never happened.

Coronado Springs looks like a nice resort. I like the rooms. Certainly would be a better fit for my family than a value room. I really like having the double sinks.
I wonder how the new tower will change the resort. More crowded I wonder?

I feel so bad for Andi with that kid. It really is unbelievable how some parents simply don't care about their child's behaviour.

e were 2nd in line for food at the Lotus house. I tried the housemade crab and cheese wontons and Andi went with the vegetable spring rolls.

We checked off China and headed to try the “faux meatball” at Trowel and Trellis. The meatball was described as vegetarian served with Lentil bread, spinach, marinated vegetables, and creamy herb dressing.

I hadn't really put much thought into which foods I want to try, thinking I would play it by ear, but you have just given me my first MUSTS! These all sound incredible!!

I can't believe (well, of course I CAN) the family on the monorail As a teacher, I question more and more what is wrong with parents who let their kids act any which way without intervening. It's just sad!!

Wow the crowds sound terrible! I would have done the same and escaped after fp. I have a shirt that says “I can’t people today” and I always think it’s the most appropriate Disney attire. Between totally oblivious people (thought I suspect a lot of them play dumb in hopes of gaming the system) and then totally rude people I can’t take it.

That is absolutely awful!!!!! What is wrong with some people?? Poor Andi!! I am glad she was able to move past the incident and still enjoy her dinner.

First off, I am traumatized just reading about poor Andi getting spit on! I just cannot believe people! What was wrong with the parents that they allowed this, or were so negligent that it happened on their watch?! Poor Andi! Aside from the monorail fail, and the crowds, sounds like you had a great first day. Your food booth selections at Epcot looked amazing! I love the frushi, too

Your F&G choices all look delish! I'm sure its nice for Andi to have all of the vegetarian options at the festival to try.

I'm glad your room was better than you expected! So frustrating though when you don't get a request!

OMG MK looks insane! We got out before the big Spring Break crowds rolled in but that is just bananas. Disney truly needs to do something about the crowds if they want people to have a good time! Good high crowd ride choices though!

That monorail ride DOES sound like a nightmare. I cant believe that kid was spitting on Andi! I don't think me or my sister would have kept our calm in a situation like that so kudos to her! We had a bad monorail experience ourselves on our last trip and its honestly made me never want to take them again!! At least not when its busy

Loving your report as usual! I have to tell you a funny story. My daughter and I (she's 22) have been wanting to take a mom daughter trip for years, but my husband loves it as much as we do so it's never happened. Last week after catching up on your AKL report, I decided that instead of our daughter coming with my husband and I in May, I would book a separate trip in June for her and I. My husband likes the idea, my daughter was thrilled and I get two trips!

As for the spitting kid, how truly awful. Just beyond words on that one...‍

CSR was really wonderful and the amount of storage was wonderful, it would work well for your family with 3 females! There was a little beach area outside of our room with a hammock and loungers, really nice!
The resort did not feel overly crowded. The new resort is huge, it will definitely bring more people!
The spitting was so gross, Andi hates when people she doesn’t know touch her so the spitting was over the top for her! The little brat was doing to get attention!

I can imagine as a teacher you are aware of some really bad behavior, parents expect teachers to parent their kids, ugh!
This kid was a brat plain and simple, he was being rude and no consequences at all!
