A trip full of Triple Stay / Annual Pass / VIPassholder Fun - A Late Feb/Early March Trip

I'm late to the party. I love your TR's! We were there right before you for my middle schoolers cheer nationals. We took both girls out of school and spend 3 extra days. It's hard getting in all our Disney in essentially 4.5 days. And we can't make fastpasses ahead of time because you don't get the tickets until you get down there. So this past trip was lots of rushing around and refreshing trying to get good FPs. And, then as soon as we got home I realized I didn't have a Dole Whip. Every time we thought about it, we weren't close to it or rushing by and full. I had wanted to try the updside down pineapple cake thing. I will not make that mistake again. I still think about it - LOL.

I might be on page 7 of your TR but at least it's day 2 of your trip! I'm happy to be joining in and hearing all about your adventures!

The fastpass line was longer than I would have liked it to be but it moved fairly well. And we really only waited 5 minutes. And before long we were passing Space Jesus.
Haha! I have never heard it described that way before...so funny!

Here is Morgan and her final product. She loved doing the class!
Love this picture!

But take it for this. Unprompted, Gwen said the following statements:
  • First, she said that this is different than it used to be right?
  • Then, she said, I like that the Red Head Lady gets to be in Charge.
Good for Gwen, I like her take on it. :)

I had Morgan climb up as well, and grabbed a cute photo of them both.
This is adorable!

Looking forward to hearing about your California Grill dinner!

Sounds like a great morning so far! It's always nice when you can just tackle one land instead of running back and forth across the park!
It really is the best way to do the park but fast passes sometimes make it hard to do that.

And I love that last pic of the girls!
Thanks. It really turned out nice.

On our KTTK tour they told us the faces on these boats are supposed to be a nod to Goofy, Donald and Mickey! I never would have noticed that on my own!
Now I have to really pay attention next time!

We've still never ridden the Magic Carpets! I feel like every time we've gone by the wait has been 30+ minutes, and like you it's not one we've wanted to wait that long for. Maybe we'll finally try it out on our next trip!
It is def worth rope dropping with your small kids. Cause it's only semi-fun. Ha. But we also have great memories on it. Our first trip, Gwen was 3 and Jasmine was her favorite and we rode it after eating dinner in the castle. She had on her Jasimne costume and sang a Whole New world the whole time!

That seems like a good rule! I'm curious to hear what ride shoe chose to veto.
It will show up eventually. Although I don't think we did it this day. Cliff Hanger...

I know! The girls have half days in the beginning of the month for parent teacher conferences, so they won't miss too much by us going then.

And, then as soon as we got home I realized I didn't have a Dole Whip.
Isn't that the worst! I hate when that happens. I realized that we never tried the Mint Julep this trip. :(

The skippers really make or break JC for sure!
They really do. And we have had a few good ones this last couple times.

I might be on page 7 of your TR but at least it's day 2 of your trip! I'm happy to be joining in and hearing all about your adventures!
Welcome!!! I am so glad you are here!

Looking forward to hearing about your California Grill dinner!
Hopefully I will get there sooner than later!

These photos make a Saturday at MK look relatively chill, which is impressive!

The 'funny faces' family photo in front of the castle is especially sweet.

Gwen wearing a 'Just Married' pin for her own purposes is so cool. Independent thinking at work!! That was a really fun detail to read.

I am too! It was crazy how we all aligned our planning without trying!

Chickie n Pete is a staple of the Philly area, and it's basically a sports bar. But the food makes for good airport food for sure!

Thanks for coming over and following along! I was excitied but also nervous about how the moving rooms would go.

So, they are lullaroe leggings. My girlfriend actually bought them for the girls. Mostly you have to buy them through someone selling them. But I have also found them on amazon. Which the ones I am wearing, I got from amazon.

Where are you? We are in South Jersey, Voorhees to be exact. Most of my chickie and pete eating has been at the airport... ooops.

Oye! We surprised the girls with a very last minute trip to Disneyland. And Morgan cried because she didn't want to go that far away. Morgan doesn't always do well with surprises. We are planning a December trip and leaving for Disney on Thanksgiving. And I was saying to DH that we might need to tell Morgan ahead of time. She just needs time to process it all.

Thanks! I will admit, I haven't read all of there entries, so I am not completely sure how intersting it will be.

Both of those were new to us items for sure! And both worked out great.

They did mention things that I forgot to meantion. It is always fun to see different sides of the story and what everyone remembers.

Thanks for following along!

Thanks!! I love sharing our trips. It is so fun to relive all of the memories

That they have! And just wait I have a few pics where they really just look so grown up!

I know everyone hates how early Magical Express is but I dont' mind it at all.

I am glad you are here!!!

I KNOW!! i kind of held my breathe. They didn't say anything about it. And when we finally switched, Gwen was like THAT IS WHY that guy said that!

Morgan kind of noticed what I was putting in them but she didn't say anything. And then after she was like THAT IS WHY you packed all snacks for lunch! Ha.

Thanks. It is fun. And they already pointed out different things. I kind of forgot what I actually said to them when they opened the car door. And I forgot that we changed clothes!
I was going to ask where you were from too once I saw you mention Chickie and Pete’s. I live right outside Philly but a lot of my family lives in South Jersey. There’s a Chickie and Pete’s five minutes from my house. We are there usually once a week. I am loving your report. Your pics are so cute.

It’s those kinds of memories that make rides like that so special! We’ll definitely have to try it on this trip.

And Think photo bombed us... or well Andy specifically...
OMG that's hilarious! I guess the photographer didn't leave enough space up top?

But take it for this. Unprompted, Gwen said the following statements:
  • First, she said that this is different than it used to be right?
  • Then, she said, I like that the Red Head Lady gets to be in Charge.
So, I agree that it didn't need to change. But the change is being noticed by little girls! So, take it for that! Gwen has girl power!
Awesome to hear that! I always did feel a bit uncomfortable whenever it came to the auction scene. So I'm ok with the change.

Dole Whips
Andy being well trained in my TR needs, took these photos for me before we dug in!
You've trained him well! I remember at DCA I had even forgot and he was like - already done!

After that it was Jungle Cruise. The person that took us on the tour was way to chatty, all he did was tell jokes. it was very annoying.
Um, what? HAHAHAHA

I'm too lazy to write how and what we did. So, I'm just writing the rides.
Yup, me too!

I'm all caught up! What a wonderful start to your vacation! I've gotta find those benches in Adventureland, what a perfect little hideaway to escape some crowds. Love that you're including Morgan and Gwen's versions of the trip, too :goodvibes I'm so excited to meet these fabulous young ladies in August!!! :hyper:

That's a really interesting observation about the Pirates change. Evie gets upset when I was vlogs and there's no females on the videos, so I feel like she would have said something similar. Guess that puts it into perspective.

The Dole Whip with the pineapple upside down cake sounds really good as a first Disney food of the day. And those benches are new to me! I don't think I've spotted them before, but they look perfect.
Man, Gwen looks so grown up in that picture on the top of the bench!

We have gotten better at being more chill. The more often we go the easier it is. But sometimes, I want to scream let's go do something else! But really shouldn't vacation be relaxed.

Gwen wearing a 'Just Married' pin for her own purposes is so cool. Independent thinking at work!! That was a really fun detail to read.
She is a little independent thing, for sure!

Always good to have another South Jersey / Philly disser.

It’s those kinds of memories that make rides like that so special! We’ll definitely have to try it on this trip.
Those memories are the ones you cant' plan for are the best.

Following along!!!:flower:
Welcome!!!! Glad you are hear!

Um, what? HAHAHAHA
I know, I was surprised to read that too. She has never said anything to that nature of not liking the ride!

Awesome to hear that! I always did feel a bit uncomfortable whenever it came to the auction scene. So I'm ok with the change
I know lots of people were mad about the change. But I always was surprised that Disney would use the word Wench.

Glad to hear that I am not the only one who didn't know they existed. Excitied to meet you as well!

I know! Both girls are really growning up fast. I would say about a year ago is when it felt like they were growning like weeds! Enjoy your trip with the kids! They are prime Disney trip age!!!!

I'm here and all caught up, though like Gwen I'm feeling lazy and won't comment on everything :-) Loving adding the girls commentary. Its fun to see the dichotomy between the two of them. Can't wait for more!

Joining in. I love your reports! They're so fun to read. I feel like I'm there with you!
Thanks for following along! It is so fun to share our adventures with everyone! I followed a bunch of folks for awhile and took notes on what styles I liked to ready. So, I am glad to hear it feels like you are there with us! Cause that is the best!

Enjoying your trip report. Your daughters are adorable and their writing cracks me up!
Thanks! I have to admit, I didn't read all of there notes when I started! I was surprised to hear that Morgan didn't like Jungle Cruise!

Ha! Right?!?! Hopefully I will get a post in now. I am sitting at Gwen's Rock Climbing class.

Just FYI: I bought Chad the shirt!
:thumbsup2

Day Two: Magic Kingdom (Part Three? I think...)

After we finished out Dole Whip treats, it was time to move on. We had time still before our Big Thunder Mountain Fast Passes, so we headed to Splash Mountain. It said a 20 minute wait, but figured that really wasn't that bad. Although , one of the girls didn't want to wait that long.

But we got in line anyway, and it was probably 20 minutes exactly, but really that isn't that bad. I pulled up the Be Our Guest lunch menu while we were in line to see what everyone might want for lunch later.

Soon enough we were on the ride. We got the back 2 rows in a log and the girls were made because they thought they wouldn't get wet not being in the front..... Oh little did they know!!!!
Slippin' Falls
I love Slipp'n Falls, when you get in a log with people who have never done it before and they get all scared and then it's just tiny...

SM_Tree House
Does anyone take the same picture over and over again. I am pretty sure I have many versions of this treehouse...

SM_Big Drop
Our fate, soon enough. Morgan is not a fan of the big drop but likes the rest, so she kind of tolerates the ride.

SM_Big Drop Spray
As we go around the bend, you see that spray that they shoot out that "seems" like it comes from the boats but really it's a shoot.... Yeah.... It got us GOOD!!!!

SM_All Wet
The back rows are apparently PRIME for that spray!!!

Magic Kingdom_7DMT_Feb 23rd_01
Andy and Gwen decided to Dab in the photo! @cstorm65 - Just for you and DS!

Morgan drenched
This was how wet Morgan was between the first spray and the drop.... Thankfully it was pretty warm out by now.

It's the Truth It's Actual...
Even being soaked, It was a Satisfactual ride!

After out we headed over to use our fast pass for Big Thunder Mountain! Gwen requested the back once we got to the front of the line.
BTM Line

Gwen and Morgan decided that we needed to do the "Hands Up Challange" Which meant we had to keep our hands up the whole ride. Which was harder than it sounds, mostly because i was loosing blood flow in my hands by the end!

BTM Ride Selfie
Our family Ride Selfie!

Later on, Andy found this picture from a pervious trip.
Before and After
If you can't tell, we are big on reacting photos!

Big Thunder was fun as usual and I did dry off a little at least.

After BTM we headed towards 7DMT. As we passed BOG there was a huge line of folks trying to get in. Would that be our future?

When we got up to 7DMT, there was a bit of a line to scan your bands. And some people confused as to which line to get in. But it wasn't too bad. After we scanned our band we saw a maitenence guy coming out. Sounded like the ride had just been down and was just back up. Good timing!!!!

The wait really wasn't any worse than other times, we tried playing some of the Disney Play app but really didn't have time to.

The girls wanted to do the "Hands up Challange" again. So we did....

7DMT_Family Selfie
Another family ride selfie!

7DMT Half famliy selfie
Gwen totally enjoying herself!

Our ride photos

We were in the back, which I was slightly bummed about, as you con't get a good view of the witch. We also sat a little too long in that area. Which prompted me to take this photo...

Untitled
You are all welcome!

After our ride with the Dwarfs, we had some time to kill before our lunch reservation. Everyone was hungry and ready to eat but it wasn't time. I SHOULD have had us go over and see if we could have gotten in early but that isn't what we did...

Instead we went to ride on Ariel Ride... Cause the wait is never bad for that one, right?!?!

Up next Ariel ride and lunch! (I have lots of que pics!)

All right, I always thought if you sat in the back of a log on Splash you were fairly safe from getting wet. But poor Morgan was proof that theory doesn't hold up! Good to know.

You guys always get such fun ride photos of your family. I know when I'm in the parks, I love seeing families having fun and enjoying the moment; I'm thinking you guys brought a lot of smiles to other guests in both the BTMR queue and the 7DMT queue.
