Does this means PTN will be back at Disneyland during Halloweentime or not running at all?

That would make it a $200 event! :crazy2:

For me, it would be worth it not to have to dedicate so much party time to staking out a good spot for the show. WOC is one of my favorites, and we've really enjoyed the dessert party the two times we've done it. $200 is definitely pricey though.

I think I’m in the minority here, but I’m excited about a lot of these new additions. They’ve really done a great job with all of the Halloween theming they’ve added to DCA these last few years and I can’t wait to see what they have planned for the immersive treat trails and Redwood Creek Challenge Trail.

I love WOC and am super excited for the new party-exclusive show. I really hope they do a Halloween themed dessert party for it. The prices definitely increased more than I expected them to though. Are we thinking Halloween Screams might just be shown at Disneyland on certain nights for all guests? If so, that would be awesome!
I am also wondering if there will be a dessert party. I would totally be interested in a dessert party if one is offered.

Thanks - I had a look there but was clearly a man look! $120 for our night - that’s a lot!
I agree that was the price 2 years ago when they added the park hopper. But I love Halloween time. I went once and have been hooked ever since. I am sad it will be at DCA but I have to check it out anyhow. We will see if I love it just as much.

Strange days this year. Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday night parties cuts out the regular work week Fri/Sat days off. And they are getting a bit crazy with the prices on those last few days. I don't mind that they are moving it to DCA but would it kill them to give Toy Story Midway Mania a Halloween theme??

I second this idea! If they can do GOTG Monsters After Dark...

My friends and I have go to the Halloween party for the last few years. This year we decided to do a WDW Christmas trip and now I'm happy about our decision. If the prices and party stay in DCA I'm not sure we'll do it. The fireworks were one of our favorite.

For us, while we enjoyed the Halloween elements, the big draw for the party was always eight hours of lower crowds and the ability to do a lot of attractions at a (relatively) low price. The price advantage has been going away more and more each year and now that it is in DCA it just doesn't have the appeal for us that it once did.

Since your going to WDW you should go to the Christmas party. It is so,much fun!

I'm not really surprised. They are still obviously expecting Star Wars Galaxy's Edge to be a massive draw. I suspect they figure they will still have more than enough locals visiting the parks after the lifting of the summer block outs even through the whole of Halloween season. They may have decided they couldn't deal with weekend party crowds and weekend crowds in general with AP visitors still cycling through trying to get their look at the new Star Wars stuff. Putting the parties on less normally busy nights balances the crowds. Fridays, Saturdays, and Mondays were already going to be a draw for both APs and out-of-town visitors.

If reducing crowds is part of their strategy then I think it will work. Everyone of those parties is on a school night and that should thin out families with kids.

I've read Sept 6 - Oct 31 but not sure what is as early as the 6th? Oogie Boogie started the 16th or 17th?

While aspects of the DCA party seem like fun, I'm a little disappointed since this was our first visit for Halloween and I was really looking forward to the Disneyland experience. It is also hard to justify the price on a day when we'd have tickets for the parks anyway and would be paying even more. I was hoping we could do the party on a day we didn't have tickets, but with the changes we are out of luck! Any advice on whether the DCA party is worth the price, especially since we'll have park hoppers on those days?

The Halloween "season" has been declared by Disney for this year to be Sept 6 - Oct 31. The parks should be decorated, ride overlays in place, and new food items ready to be served up for all of those dates. The parties are offered on select days during the season. I believe September 17 was listed as the first party day.

September 6th is going to be the kick-off date for HalloweenTime at the Disneyland Resort. That means the overlays on the attractions, the decorations, merchandise and food offerings, and other entertainment should debut that day. The parties start about a week and a half later, on the 17th.

Halloween time is starting on September 6th but the actual party dates begin on Sept. 17th.

Oogie Boogie Bash – A Disney Halloween Party will add to the fun of Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort, celebrated from Sept. 6 through Oct. 31, 2019.

Take note of these important dates and mark your calendars:

  • April 23: Tickets on sale to Disneyland Resort Annual Passholders, Disney Vacation Club members and Disney Visa card holders
  • April 30: Tickets on sale to general public
  • Oogie Boogie Bash 2019 dates: Sept. 17, Sept. 19, Sept. 22, Sept. 24, Sept. 26, Sept. 29, Oct. 1, Oct. 3, Oct. 6, Oct. 8, Oct. 10, Oct. 13, Oct. 15, Oct. 17, Oct. 20, Oct. 22, Oct. 24, Oct. 27, Oct. 29 and Oct. 31

I'm on board for a less crowded party. The last couple of years its gotten busier and busier and last year I went on Halloween night and I vowed to never do it again as it was so crowded and the lines were so long we didn't get near the stuff done as prior years.

I'm torn between wanting to do the party on Halloween or not. We're gonna be staying at GCH for the first time and we're already spending a pretty penny on that. Does anyone know if GCH or DLH does anything special on Halloween?
