I did a 6 day solo trip in 2017, I had a blast!!! A few times it would have been nice to have someone there, but it was so great to do what I want, when I want! I could eat anything, any time. My dh doesn't like to eat lunch before like 11:30, whereas I am starving before 11, so to eat anytime was great!! Loved it so much I am doing it again in August, but not for as long this time (curse you stupid new job and lack of PTO).

I have 5 days planned for now so I am hoping thats a good duration for my first attempt.

Glad to hear you had a blast! I am always the planner and try to accommodate what everyone wants to do. It can be difficult giving stuff up. I wanted to do DAH in HS back in December so badly and I am pumped that I can do it this summer and ride RnR, ToT, and TSM as many times as I want

I feel I will also have those times where it would be nice to talk to or enjoy something with someone else. I think being somewhere familiar will make that easier for me, if that makes sense? lol Only time will tell.

I am with you eating before 11am! Sign me up. ET zone here and I am already starving!! I definitely have some new snacks I need to try out. I am thinking of doing 1 TS per day. I think I could make it in and out fast and I do have some places I have been dying to go back to.

Oh man Wawa, they opened their first location here in DC not that long ago and people LOST THEIR MINDS. The place is packed every day. A second one is under construction in a different neighborhood and so many posts of "WHEN IS WAWA OPENING AAAAAHHH!!!"

Growing up in the South, a gas station was literally the last place you'd buy ready-to-eat food. McDonald's and any other fast food was far preferable to the garbage in a gas station/convenience store. You were better off going hungry. So this fascination with convenience store food is quite lost on me.

I think we've had Wawa here in central VA for about 20 years. They really are nice. If I'm going to stop somewhere while I'm on the road traveling I try to look for a Sheetz or Wawa. They're always well-lit, clean bathrooms, etc.

We showed in the middle of nowhere, PA several times last year and the ONLY "fast food" in town was a Sheetz. We would literally eat there breakfast, lunch, and dinner lol. The options are pretty good and you can get healthy stuff though.

Yes - and I've found it easier to just create a new login for every card haha. I just make my login Sfayettefan1234 (with the last 4 of the card, haha)

Haha depending on who you ask, Wawa is the greatest gas station ever created. Do you have Sheetz out there? It's very similar to that. Although if there are any Wawa diehards in here, they may attack me for saying that.

Anyways, it's a gas station, but it also has made to order food and drinks and stuff like that. It's a lot nicer than most just random gas stations.

I have never heard of either of those. They sound like made up words lol. We have Casey’s, Kum and Go, and Kwik Star here

You are one up on me, I can't stand green beans LOL. Love broccoli and cauliflower. I can eat a couple raw carrots, but I don't love them. I am also picky and a total sugar addict.

I’m gonna have to tell Dh because he’s always on me for being picky. I can eat a whole can of green beans by myself, even cold. I hate fresh green beans though. They aren’t the same at all

Our gas stations here have fantastic food. I get pizza from them a lot but they also have a lot of sandwiches and appetizer type stuff. Some have burgers and chicken sandwiches

@Haley R Here is a site that I use for grocery shopping. https://www.southernsavers.com/publix-weekly-ad-deals/ She has many grocery stores, drugstores as well as Target/Walmart. I usually make my list from her site based on what's on sale and then add in the other items we need. It has been awhile since I shopped in Florida, but you used to have to buy 2 items for the BOGO to qualify. In Georgia, each item rings up half price so you don't have to buy in multiples of 2. As others had mentioned, Publix is more expensive than Kroger. Best of luck with your house shopping and move!!

When I travel with the fam I am busy playing cruise director and making sure that everyone else is getting to do the stuff they want to do, so it was so nice to just do whatever I felt like doing. I love me time! I had a couple of nice chats with folks in line, one mom and daughter even invited me to join them for lunch after the ride (which was sweet, but I declined - me time!), so I didn't feel isolated or anything. I'm sure you will have a great solo trip.

When I travel with the fam I am busy playing cruise director and making sure that everyone else is getting to do the stuff they want to do, so it was so nice to just do whatever I felt like doing. I love me time!
