Border Cafe/Jose Tejas (Few locations in NJ & Delaware)

An independent country pub a few miles along the road from us. Lovely food and special nights for example tomorrow fresh mussels and fries which we regularly visit.
Our casual brunch/lunch favourite is a few miles further away built in what was a village smithy.
Both are very dog friendly so often follow a walk.

Probably Cracker Barrel :rotfl2:

My kids think it's a tradition-that-cannot-be-broken that we stop there every time we are on a road trip longer than 45 minutes, and since we travel back to MI frequently to visit family as well as take longer road trips for our vacations, we are there about every other month or so, minimum.

There are also a couple mom and pop hot dog/Pizza/Italian Beef stands in our area that we go to quite a lot. They usually offer a lot of choices, so everyone gets what they like.

Local restaurants, we only eat at chains when out of town (unless we know of a good restaurant). We don’t eat out a lot, so I prefer to try different restaurants (we have tons).

At this point, either:

Perkins (spent almost all my nights there as a teen - it was where we hung out after school, until the wee hours. And then, once I graduated, it was where we went after the bar)

Chili's - it's our go-to. But only our local one. We are "regulars" of our waitress. She has our drinks and chips on the table within a minute of when we get there, she knows how my kids like their food special ordered, and she is great at what she does. The food is good, but, as a rule, I don't care for chains. This is one, though, is good!

Other that Chili's, we try to go somewhere new each time we go out - so many choices in this city!

Probably Pizzeria Uno, just by virtue of it being nearby for my whole life. So many other restaurants (chains and local) have come and gone, but that Uno's has always been there.

Probably Red Lobster

Local...The Lobster House

The Club Pheasant in West Sacramento, California. Been there over 75 years. I'm almost 62 and ate there as a kid. And i belong to a Service Group that meets there every other month.

Really it's a variety of local independent restaurants, not chains. However, if we need something and the kids are along, we typically look for a Panera (I guess it's kind of sit-down) since we know it has things everyone will eat.

Place we go pretty often is Teakwoods
We also go to Chilis often
Red Robin.....one of my favorites

An authentic Mexican restaurant by my house. I love it! In fact, I might grab a taco and some rice for lunch today. It’s cheaper than fast food and so much better.

Growing up there was this local pizza chain we'd go to at least once/week. Every time I go home I have to go there, and I know classmates and expatriates make it a required stop, too. I've probably eaten at a Giovanni's a couple hundred times, at least. I've had pizza all over the world, but in my mind I subconsciously compare it all to pizza from a little place in eastern Kentucky.

Right now it's Wooden Nickel, a local establishment by our house. We go about once a week (empty nest).

Tonight's menus...

The last house we lived in, from 2007-2017, it was likely Friendlys the first couple years (little kids) and then Applebees (older kids).

The years before that, it was probably IHOP (little kids) and Golden Corral (when grandparents were with us). Both were also due to lack of funds then.

At Disney, it's Ohana and Biergarten.

We frequent Bill Miller's quite a bit. After a Disney trip, as soon as we get back to Texas, I stop and get a sweet tea. We usually frequent Las Palapas. We get tacos from there during stockshow season.
