Oh lord, I am so very sorry! There's also a Foley Beach Alabama that I was thinking about that's on the Gulf Please accept my apologies for sticking my nose in

Don't be sorry! We can always learn about a new place. And, I've never heard of the restaurant but it's now on my list if I ever road trip through the area.

Do you know how Rothy's compare to Tieks? I love my Tieks, but they are not easy to clean. I accidentally stepped in a puddle of mud last week, and they're pretty much ruined. :(

Reach out to the company. I've had Tieks replaced before.

Fastpass Day today... DD and I were up at 6. She on her computer and me on my Ipad. Got everything we wanted including FOP twice and Slinky Dog Dash. Now the countdown begins. Will need a vacation after June is over. DD Graduates on June 2nd. Her Birthday is the 5th and my Dad's and Niece is the 7th. Mine is the 20th and my brothers the 30th. Add in Fathers Day and 13 Graduation Party's (so far) we need to attend and also DD's Grad Party on the 22nd. Oh yeah - and throw in DD's orientation at college for 2 days. I need a vacation just thinking about it all.
yay for FP success! What days did you get your FOP and slinky’s?

I'm so annoyed that I have to figure out a new lunch for August, I'd been looking forward to these. Casey's corn dog nuggets now chicken.

I know I could do columbia harbor house or maybe I'll just wait and eat at DS instead. Do Pecos Bills for dinner before after hours.

Omg I got these on Saturday I heard the corn dog nuggets were amazing. I ate them and was like omg these are awful and then SO was like they don’t look right it’s pink. So I stopped eating them. I had no idea they were chicken.

I'm officially back after our move and house buying. We are (somewhat) settled. It was a horrible move, and we've had plenty. I don't know why but it was just very difficult. We have been spending SO much money without an MSR during this whole process. It's making me sick. So I need some advice.
DH is now 5/24 on accident. He bought me my dream couch for Mothers Day and took advantage of the "promotional offer" from the furniture store. Which is a credit card. :faint: Silly mistake, but it was incredibly sweet of him. So he has:

10/17 Synchrony-Google
9/18 Cap. One Venture
9/18 CSP
11/18 AmEx Gold
12/18 CIP
5/19 Furniture Store Card

He also has a Discover and Cap One Quicksilver that are his oldest cards.

I am 1/24
9/18 CSP
11/18 CIP

I was denied Citi AA Biz 2/19 for too many inquiries.

I was thinking we would each try for the companion pass for 20/21 (since we need 7 tickets everytime we travel) but his store card may have thrown a wrench in that. We were planning Costa Rica in December but for multiple reasons that is either being changed to an October trip somewhere else or cancelled for now. Italy in 2020 and Disney again fall of 2020. I don't have much of a strategy right now but I know I'm leaving tons of points on the table. Suggestions? Thanks!

Today was the Mondayist Tuesday ever. I’m mentally exhausted. We just went through huge reductions at my company and lost so many good people. My position is safe (for now) but it was like the scene from a post apocalyptic movie. Even those who were told they were staying were walking around like zombies all day. I’m still a bit numb and shell shocked. Grateful to remain but hard to imagine going into work tomorrow.

And to add to the fun of today, DH called Barclays regarding his new Aviator as it wasn’t working even though activated. Apparently they want to see his articles of incorporation or tax docs and some other nonsense. I applied as a sole proprietorship in his exact first and last name using his SSN. Can we send in a copy of a bill that comes to our address in his name? He’s also going to call back and talk with them to ensure they’re showing a sole proprietorship.

@marsh0013 is going through the same thing: https://www.reddit.com/r/DISchurners/comments/aj6vx6/news_discussion_thread/eo4exbu/

My wife had Allbirds before her Rothy’s. She still has them and wears them when she doesn’t want to get her Rothy’s dirty. (Although, like @LuckyMamaInDE said, they’re really easy to clean and they’re all holding up well). She says the Rothy’s (especially the loafer style) are the most comfortable shoes she’s ever worn, even more so than the Allbirds. Rothy’s are pretty expensive, but she swears they’re totally worth it. (But 6 pairs in different colors?) Upside is Rothy’s pays out 5% on Ebates, and she wears Rothy’s so often that she’s basically a walking advertisement for Rothy’s at work and she’s earned support clicks from quite a few of her co-workers.

Speaking of advertisement @mmmears, you’re totally right that Rothy’s social media advertising is scarily pervasive and effective!

Ok now I'm really looking at these. Problem is that I like to try things on. DD and I both tried Allbirds at Nordstrom and they just didn't fit me right. I really hate to return things by mail.

Ugh, I am googling too LOL I am not fashionable but I have a weakness for super comfy shoes.
I tried the Allbirds but I sent them back. They were either too big or too small.

I had the same issue with the Allbirds when I tried them on.

does OAK or SJC have a hotel in them? If so what hotel? trying to see what the options are

SJC doesn't have one inside, but I know there are some nearby. No idea about OAK since I avoid the East Bay whenever possible. :rotfl: I suspect that last comment is going to send me to the shun corner.

Hmm, I'm not sure. The verification asks for school and your school email address. I'm a professor and that counted. I would Google "rothy's teacher discount" to get to the page and see if there are any you want first- the discount is only available on some of the shoes, and it varies over time. Then, maybe contact them and ask? Their customer service is good.

Did you just need an edu email address, or something more?

I'm so sorry. It sounds like an awful day at work. Even though you're safe I'm guessing that watching it all unfold was pretty traumatic. Hang in there. Your experience with Barclay is making me think it's not something I want to attempt.

Funny, because Rothy’s recently partnered with Nordstrom to sell their shoes. Next time you’re at a Nordstrom, you might want to head over to the shoes department and ask. Alternatively, if you’re ever in SF, they have a store on Fillmore in Pac Heights.

Haha. No. I know enough about women’s clothes and fashion because I grew up with sisters, and my wife has me do her shopping because otherwise she’d pay retail for everything and put the charges on the wrong cards, whereas I’m pretty good with waiting for sales, comparing prices and watching for reductions, finding promo codes, using credit card offers and shopping portals, and usually working on a MSR on a new card she might not know about.
Wow what an awesome husband you are! I’m the sale person and yes he’d pay full retail if my DH shopped much. OTOH that also means I rarely get gifts unless I buy them myself. In fact DH knew my anniversary ring had a small diamond fall out and I wanted it replaced. He said he would take me to the jewelry store and let me pick out a new stone. I don’t need to pick out a new diamond chip, he just doesn’t want to do it

Congrats on your new home....sorry it didn’t go smoothly.....

That was so thoughtful of your DH...I think I’ve read on here or rchurning that if the card can only be used at that store you may be able to have it not count towards 5/24..if not it looks like he would be 4/24 in October/November

Sorry about your day. I went through that in November and it was awful. I found the most effective remedy to be getting in my car and driving to WDW. Seriously, DH and I left the day after the election and drove halfway to Disney haha. I hadn’t intentionally planned the trip that way but honestly it was a lifesaver.
