Disney's Club Level (CL) Information & Questions

Checked into the BC CL today after a long morning of flight delays. Got a good room close to the lounge but not too close. We were trying to quickly to get ready to head out to MK and an employee opened the door and walked in without knocking while my friend was standing there in her unmentionables. My friend ran to the bathroom while i tried to figure out what he wanted but i couldn't understand him. She isn't too upset or anything but it was a weird experience. Will be more careful about using the lock in the future.

Live from the YC CL lounge: they have chicken nuggets!!!

(And pulled pork, tomato bisque, onion & bacon jam crostini with roast beef and horseradish sauce plus the usual veggies, Carmel apples, cheese & crackers etc)

Also, they are featuring red sangria nightly through the summer.

I miss those nightly grilled veggies.

So, I'm new to this thread, and read a few pages, but not all 1158 pages... I don't know if this was asked and answered, so excuse me if I'm repeating a question:

We're thinking of booking CL at the CR for September 2020 (package booking date coming up in approx. a week). I was wondering, what coffee do they serve at the Atrium Lounge? Is it any good? (need my good coffee :)).

Also, how busy does it get at CL at that time of the year?

Any room recommendations for PV room?

I am a coffee addict too. They have the pod machine like other CLs up in the atrium club. Three different pods offered. Then they have a carafe of standard disney coffee. Machine coffee is decent, can make different strengths, just use a couple of pods if you like it very strong. Last time we were park view we were one room from the lounge on the "quieter" side away from Chef Mickey and we loved that room. I don't think you'll find CL busy, rooms are full but the lounge rarely seems too busy... one of the things I like about CR over some of the other resorts.

Home from AKL CL. It was fabulous and I highly recommend. I’d like to take my whole family there for a family reunion. This is a place that “wows” you.
Appetizers 5-7pm last night included a station serving 2 small bites - Egyptian Chickpea and Falafel w/ garlic yogurt & roasted eggplant salad. yummy.
Also, African stew with broccolini mashed potatoes
Plus, delicious cheeses and chutneys and olives and bread and crackers. Plus, chicken nuggets. And Uncrustables on a platter sprinkled with banana chips. And African shrimp with pearl couscous.
Love that lounge. Hard to say goodbye.

Enjoyed a mimosa yesterday morning. With the jungle juice. Delicious. And they had Turkey Bobotie from Boma yesterday and this a.m. at breakfast. So good🙌

Including a picture of our view last night. Zebras grazing beneath our balcony. We could hear them chewing and ripping the grass.

Also, the various kcups that were in our room. Loved having a keurig. They had ceramic mugs and paper cups with lids.

A quick question: does anyone know if you can still upgrade to CL upon checking into Wilderness Lodge? (Subject to availablity of course). Does anyone know the cost per night when/if it is available?

Thanks for your reply. What was the room number? Do you recommend that room? How good was the view of the park from the room?

Hi there! It’s been awhile since I’ve posted here, and it took awhile for me to catch back up on reading, but I wanted to jump back in since we have some upcoming CL trips. First of all, I wanted to update that we tried Poly CL in November and loved it so.very.much. We had some amazing CMs while there and enjoyed everything about it—even the second floor room that we tried so hard to avoid.;) Seriously, I’d read here about requesting first or third floor and was slightly disappointed when I was told we were on Floor 2, but I didn’t ask to change & rolled with it. It ended up that we were 2 doors down from the lounge and honestly couldn’t have been more perfect. My DS13 was in heaven being that close to the lounge—popping in whenever he wanted. It was actually one of our favorite parts & a fun memory from our trip. We only stayed one night to try it out, but we would love to return for a longer trip.

I LOVE Poly CL! I agree, lots of amazing CMs. Glad you had a great time :).

Actually, that’s kind of been my strategy for venturing into the world of CL. We try one night added onto a regular trip, see what we think, & go from there. We previously did that with AKL CL, too, which has led us to our upcoming trip at the end of this month. We booked AKL CL for our whole trip this time, and I am so excited to have an entirely CL trip. I even ended up adding a YCCL night to the beginning of this next trip with the same premise of “trying it out” that we’ve done before. Also very excited about that bc we’ve never stayed there at all before—only visited. Because of our AP discount this summer, we’re also introducing my parents to CL on this trip at AKL and I cannot wait. They are going to love it!

Great strategy! Hope you have a great time at AKL CL, as well as your night at YC CL :wizard:.

These pictures make me so excited for our trip this month! We love AKL so much & can’t wait to return.

Have a great trip :goodvibes.

Thanks to those posting such great pics of the AKL lounge. We’ll be there in July, really excited to finally be giving a AKL a try.

AKL is an amazing resort! Hope you have a great trip :wizard:.

Here now and offerings still the same.

Hope you're having a nice time :flower3:.

Sorry about the flight delays, but glad you finally made it. Hope you have a great time and enjoy BC CL :wizard:.

Good morning, I’m sitting on the balcony of the YC CL just having a little bite and coffee and waiting for DD to wake up, last day of our trip so no crazy plans this am. Just a couple of updates as 2 CMs have checked on me out here. The service at YC CL has been great. Check in, the CM went with us to make sure our bands opened the door and in general CMs at desk and at lounge have really been professional and on top of things and attentive. The refurbished rooms here are great - no carpet and layout and really everything about the rooms are great. We are garden view 5152 about 4 doors down from desk , so close to lounge but no noise issues with being close to elevators and desks.
We are here 3 nights and came from the Poly CL as we were there 3 nights. And for as wonderful as YC CL is the Poly was a HUGE disappontment so I wanted to give a little feedback there in case it is helpful to someone.
First the room which unfortunately we got 2nd floor so no balcony and suppose to be TPV but basically view of tree tops and bungalows. Could not see castle or space mountain and MK is so far away anyway it would have been small views but still trees blocked everything. And since without a balcony overhang you can’t open window and leave open (heat and sometime rain) then window is fogged from AC so no view of anything. Rooms are tired, okay but carpet wet at door first day so felt like we needed shoes on and my bed was really bad, it sagged so badly on side next to night stand I had to slide over to sleep or I would have felt I was rolling off. The lounge food was quite good and afternoons they had the making for salads with chicken or shrimp and this was very good. Not great CMs With the exception of one lady who would ask if you needed anything. Others did not interact and just seemed like they wanted to be done. Last morning there were no plates at bread station which is across the room and lady there counting things and noticed but didn’t get any then no bowls at oatmeal. It kinda felt like they were mad at management and were just doing the minimum. I’ve stayed several times CL and this was just weird and no water urns left out besides when food was there.
Sorry for lengthy comment but I know I paid 80% more for the nights at Poly versus YC and it was seriously not worth it, even my DD15 said as soon as we got to our room at YC why didn’t we stay here the whole time!

Does anyone know how late you'll still find someone manning the CL concierge desk at BWI? We'll be arriving around 7:00pm in 18 days (WOOHOO!!!) and I always like to check to make sure everything is in working order (magic bands, credit card) before we hit the parks in the morning. I'd prefer to do it there but will stop at the main lobby check-in before heading up to our room if necessary. Thanks!

Dont know the brand of coffee as I'm not a coffee drinker, but DH is and has always enjoyed the coffee at Disney. September is generally a slow period of time due to it being hurricane season, but with all the new changes and additions to the parks, that may change things up a bit. PV = preferred view? If so, DH is obsessed with TPV. Me personally I would probably enjoy bay lake view just as much but haven't stayed in a BLV room.

All the resort club levels are open til 10pm. The CMs are there & desks manned until then.

10:00 PM for all CL concierge desks.

Also, the various kcups that were in our room. Loved having a keurig. They had ceramic mugs and paper cups with lids.

So this is something I've always wondered about the Keurigs in the room...

We have a Keurig at home and we love it. But, we also know that even when you empty the water out of the canister, there is water that remains inside the internal parts of the machine. So, when we leave our house for more than a few days, we always take the time to flush the machine out with vinegar or Keurig cleaner. It's a time consuming process but who knows what is growing in that water in the machine after 4 days...ick! :crazy2:

We never use the Keurig in our resort room...which means that the water deep inside the machine is sitting there for 7 days or more. I always wonder if those things ever get cleaned. Even if the next person after us runs a few throwaway cycles of hot water, I don't think it's enough to really clean the stuff that can grow in stagnant water for 7 - 10 days. But, maybe I am too paranoid :rotfl:

There are CM around in the lounge but they are not sitting at the desk outside the InnKeepers door that late.
They leave the desk around 8:00 or so most nights. Though it's not exact, sometimes it's before, sometimes it's after.
If they aren't still sitting there the CM in the lounge will be happy to check anything you need about the bands. They'll take them to the main desk or they have a secondary standing desk outside the door of the lounge too

Coffee is Joffrey's, the official coffee supplier to all of WDW

Disney's is a single cup, so no water is retained in the reservoir. It doesn't have a holding tank. You pour water in, it has to be heated, then it brews. It is then empty of all water. That's why there's a delay before it starts.
That said, I've had one at home (with a holding tank that remains heated) since they came out and never emptied it. Lived to tell about it so guess they can't be too dangerous, LOL

Oh...good to know! Thanks for the explanation!

I guess you should consider yourself very, very lucky :rotfl:

2 questions....
Staying CL at CR.

1. What type of alcohol can I expect for the evening dessert time?

2. How long do I have access to the CL lounge on departure day? Is it only until 11am? I'm wondering because DME will not be picking me up until about 7:30pm. So say I went to MK and then came back to CR at about 5pm... Would my magic band still allow me access to the CL floor and I'd be able to grab a bite to eat from the CL lounge before leaving for the airport?
