So DISchurner friends... I'm working on finalizing our Universal trip plans. We might spend our last night at the MCO Hyatt and take an early flight home.

I know I could do some googling on this but would prefer some real life examples here. Transferring URs to Hyatt - how quick is that? Does it happen instantly? I see that I could book a night in the MCO Hyatt for 12k Hyatt points (which is substantially less than using URs, even with a CSR).

Using Hyatt for a room - anything strange I should be aware of? I would assume that it is the same as using Marriott, Hilton, or IHG points (all of which I have experience with)...just book your room and you're good to go?

Thanks for any insight!

The transfer has been super quick for me. I just did this on Sunday. Sometimes you have to log out and back into Hyatt account to see the points.

Do you think I could leave them as an inheritance?
My parents have one day left on an old ticket from over 20 years ago. My dad jokes that he's going to leave it to me in his will. I told him he's better use it himself before then!

I also went for the Sam's Club AP. As a DP, I put my info in when I bought the ticket but had no trouble linking it to DH in MDE.

When our first kid was born, DH and I said we wouldn't go to WDW until our youngest kid was 5. Then we went for our younger daughter's 3rd birthday, but were only going every 2 or 3 years. Now I have AP vouchers for future trips, lol.

Nothing strange about using. This isn’t applicable at the MCO location but they waive resort fees too. You usually can book 1 king or 2 queens at most properties.

I think there’s a promo to get 10% points back. Let me check.

It’s for cardmembers only.

I figured! :flower1: How far are you into your drive? Where are you stopping tonight?

Now does anyone know how to add people to a PM that’s already started. I did a test one between me and @speedyfishy but can’t find anywhere to add more participants.
Thanks for offering to do it! We’re gonna end up going about halfway today and are stopping in tennessee. I’m so surprised at the cats. The one that usually howls has been silent the whole trip. He’s like buried himself between the litter box and the side of the play pen lol. The other one is literally laying inside of the litter box right now. So nasty 💩

Super easy and quick! I am staying there tomorrow night when we arrive since we have a late flight in and are heading to Clearwater in the morning.

I even got a nice welcome email this morning and it wasn’t a “robot” because they actually responded back to my email.

Ok being a Mom 😊 be careful and stay safe

Thank you both. Obviously we are newbies at driving in the world.

@MrPTato what time of day did you go? Maybe if we go first thing in the morning it’ll be better?
How about going to BW or BC for ice cream and walking over to the International gateway to pick it up. Rarely a wait over there. Thats where I got mine and DD's.

I'm assuming you already have a World of Hyatt membership? You could also send an email and see if you get a @Ngwira level upgrade.

Okay I found a way to add others to the PM (it’s at the very bottom of the page where it shows icons of everyone in the PM) and have added the folks that said they were interested. If you didn’t receive the PM just tag me here or send a PM and I’ll get you added.

At least they are with their mommy and daddy. Tell Syth to drive safe!

Anyone heard about the SW change trick for September? i didnt read through all the pages so im not sure if someone already posted it.
I guess in september, you change change your flight for free within 2 weeks... so you can book a tuesday flight for xx, then move it to leaving on sat, making it cheaper and redeeming for a better value.

not sure why, my guess says it has to do with the 737-Max8 issue again. perhaps someone can take advantage of this.
My dd needs this trick for her sept trip!!!

Our fam was planning to upgrade to APs for the first time in Aug but at $225 more x5, I’m not sure that’ll be happening 😭
uugghhh, that stinks. I don't imagine we will renew either. I just bought them for the boys in May with the assumption I'd keep on renewing. I'm not sure I can justify $4500/year for me and the 3 littles.

Wouldn't we need a reservation somewhere though? Beaches and cream would be hard to get
