Anyone who is stalking AP SWGE preview want to share cell numbers in a PM and set off a group text when the first person sees the link?
I am also interested! :wave2:

I don't get e-mails anymore, but have them forwarded from a family member to me. I also try to keep up-to-date with multiple sources, but if I am in the parks or consumed by work (sometimes it happens) I am afraid I may miss it!

So DISchurner friends... I'm working on finalizing our Universal trip plans. We might spend our last night at the MCO Hyatt and take an early flight home.

I know I could do some googling on this but would prefer some real life examples here. Transferring URs to Hyatt - how quick is that? Does it happen instantly? I see that I could book a night in the MCO Hyatt for 12k Hyatt points (which is substantially less than using URs, even with a CSR).

Using Hyatt for a room - anything strange I should be aware of? I would assume that it is the same as using Marriott, Hilton, or IHG points (all of which I have experience with)...just book your room and you're good to go?

Thanks for any insight!
I transfered UR to Hyatt for use on our SF trip. Super easy, instant transfer.
The Hyatt Regency Embarcadero informed me of a destiantion fee of $25 plus tax fee per night. I assumed that was outside of rewards points used to secure the room and my cc would be charged after checkout, but so far no charge, and my emailed bill was zero.

Why don’t I get these things lol

Free stuff is awesome! Are you going to use it or sell it? 😁

Not sure I can sell it. The gift card has American Express printed over it. And Johnny Was strangely does not accept (or even sell) gift cards on their website, so I can only use this in stores. It appears they had a store in San Francisco, which closed; but there are several locations around the Bay Area. But my wife does not wear boho chic, and the prices seem pretty outrageous. Interestingly, I also have an Amex Offer for 5,000 MR for spending $250+ at Johnny Was.
:confused3

Wouldn't we need a reservation somewhere though? Beaches and cream would be hard to get
YMMV on the resort parking crackdown. Sometimes people can say they're going to shop/dine at QS, etc, but I have read multiple reports where people are turned away without a room reservation or ADR. B&C may be hard to get, but there is a walk up window. IDK if you could be like we want to walk up before it closes for refurbishment, please let us park. Maybe they would let you in? IDK.

Yes please! Awesome idea, thanks for thinking of it! I have been getting emails but that doesn't mean it won't change. I also always have my phone on silent, the joys of having an NC number living in WA the spam calls start at 4am. So a text will light up my phone where an email won't.

For those looking, I'd say the thread that @PolyRob posted earlier. I have it on email alert. Someone will post there as soon as it's found and/or available. I'm not sure if any of the blogs will be as on top of it as the posters on the dis are or as quick to share it.

I figured! :flower1: How far are you into your drive? Where are you stopping tonight?

Now does anyone know how to add people to a PM that’s already started. I did a test one between me and @speedyfishy but can’t find anywhere to add more participants.
I tried to add @calypso726 to the pm I started earlier today about dvc but could never figure it out :confused3

For the BW we have not had an issue going in to eat lunch without a reservation.....I would imagine if you were going at park opening it would be a different story

This won’t work if you have the cats or are in a hurry but we love parking at Wilderness, at the gate tell them you’re going to eat at Geyser Point (and do eat there if you have the chance, good food and even better view). It’s sit down outside (covered) but no reservations allowed. Then take the boat over to MK and go to guest relations. Don’t do during park open, go for early or late lunch.

Congratulations to all the new AP holders today! Since I first upgraded our tickets in 2013 I have become almost pathetically attached to having one. Thanks @PolyRob for finding the Sam’s Club deal.

Add me to the list of having back up Disney tickets and AP vouchers. 5 non expiration 7 day park hoppers and 5 Platinum AP’s. They remain in DH’s safe in the basement but I do think of them fondly. :)

@wendow and @gottalovepluto I know the rules with tickets are pretty fact intensive. I have two of my vouchers in my account under a dummy name which helps alleviate any problems. You might want to hop on one of the ticket threads and ask an expert. (I know, brave the rest of the Dis).

On the previews I lucked into doing the AP preview in Pandora the May before it officially opened. We didn’t even care about Pandora and it was exciting. Fingers crossed they decide to do a DVC preview too (right now we just have active Gold DVC’s and I don’t want to spend the money to upgrade).

I'm assuming you already have a World of Hyatt membership? You could also send an email and see if you get a @Ngwira level upgrade.
I’d guess I have a membership out there from a long time ago lol. We will spend all of 9 hours in this room (8 of which spent sleeping) so no upgrade necessary haha. I’m just looking for a bed and it will be substantially less pts than staying at a Universal Deluxe resort that night.

Instantly for me and my parents. Hyatt makes it very easy to book your night, you shouldn’t have any issues (no experience with MCO Hyatt though, I’ve done this transfer for a couple Hyatt Places, Hyatt House & Hyatt Regency with no issues).

Thank you, but @bernina actually brought the first post over with the Sams news from the SWGE preview thread! I have to give credit where it is due 👍

I love how you keep your extra tickets in a safe! So official! 🔐

Probably gonna have to cough up 2 minutes for a new membership. They changed to World of Hyatt a couple years ago- thankfully when they created their new rewards program they didn’t realize the depths to which they could screw over consumers ;)

Lol “we just moved here and had no idea we needed a reservation. I am sooo sorry. It won’t happen again officer” 😉
