Priceline Express Deals

I want to be sure before I pull the trigger on this one. I am booking for Aug 16-Aug 18. 4.5* bonnet creek. $122/nt and Hotel Canary says it's the Swan. Taxes and fees for those 2 nights are $61.98.

Does the "taxes and fees" part cover the resort fee or I will be paying that upon arrival? I need 2 rooms so that will add up fast especially since we will have to book an Uber XL to the airport too.

TIA!

Christine

It is the Swan, the PL app trick mentions the Swan on the description.
You pay the fees at the resort.

Betterbidding also confirms it as Swan. I don’t think the resort fee of $33 is showing for some reason... but I could be wrong? I though that was a different line than just the taxes and fees part. I’m sure someone else here can confirm!

I wonder if the fees are still wonky like they were last week.

You have way more patience then I do. This has been explained over and over in this thread and yet we constantly get new people asking yet again ‘Spell it out for me.’ Thread needs a FAQ but I think even that would not help much.
Regardless, bless you and everyone else who helps others with these questions over and over.
:)

It is a new concept to new people all the time - just feels good to help people find a really good deal!

Thanks so much for posting this!
I had been very tempted to try this to get a family suite at AoA. Wonder if this is truly calculated on Hotwire’s part or if it is just an ugly bye product of their pricing system.
Either way good on ya for getting it sorted.

This also happened to me but with Priceline last September. Priceline had a room at AOA listed as an express deal with the regular rate listed around $290, I figured it had to be the suites but it was also a LM room. I only ended up paying about $100 a night for the room so I wasn't too upset about it. When I got to Disney I asked how much it would be to upgrade to the suite and they offered me a suit for $300 (we were there for a 5 nights) so I still ended up getting a suite for about $160 a night.

Ok. That's what I thought. Just surprised that taxes and fees were so high.

Now to add another similar question. Hotwire for same dates shows what I believe is the swan for $107. Since I have a $30 coupon I'm leaning towards using Hotwire vs Priceline. Is there a valid Priceline code currently? I don't see one.

Is there a way to be sure it's the swan and not dolphin? The double beds won't work for my crew.

Thank you for the assistance!

Do Express deals change throughout the day? I'm looking for a short stay in mid-September and was wondering how often I should be checking.

Even on the hot rates it shows bed choice. The dolphin will have the double beds and the Swan will have the choice of queen. Also the Dolphin is 4.3/5 rating and the Swan is 4.4/5 rating.

If you sign up via email PL will sent you a 10% off code.

It seems super shady that Priceline would leave out the $30 resort fee for that listing and include it in other bookings. Also, the taxes/fees are twice what a room through disney would cost for the same price.

Of course now that I know the hotwire one is the Dolphin (and we don't want the double beds) the listing on PL for the Swan is gone. :(

I've only got 9 days til we leave for our vacation. I'll wait a bit and see if it shows back up. Praying it does!

Booked express deal for Swan for $275 a night (including all fees and taxes) for 4/16-4/20. It was higher than I wanted to pay but it is for the Star Wars Rival Run and all the other rates were crazy high. The cheapest room on the Swan website was $487 a night (with fees and taxes) so I feel like I got a deal. Used the PL app trick to make sure it was Swan before booking.

I just found something kinda interesting (at least it might be to those of us who hang out on this thread ;)). I went on PL to check rates (why? no clue since I am already booked) using Explorer. I saw a new hotel in the Express section and then I realized I was not on Chrome (to use Canary). So I go to Chrome and do the search, I got the same resorts but they were all $2 more a night - weird right?
Swan was $200 on Explorer and 202 on Chrome. Dolphin $188 / $190.

PL app trick?
Super easy and so far they are none the wiser ;)

On the PL app do your search. Then go to the Express hotels, click the one you are interested in. Go all the way to the end - the page that tells you the total and where you would add your info. On the top there will be a back arrow, click on the back arrow and it will take you to the page where you chose your bedding. Click back again and it will take you to a screen that has the hotel info. Normally this would be a vague description of the hotel you might get - but if you read the description it will actually tell you the name of the hotel in the description!

Edit - I think it only works on searches that give you the bed choice option.
