Magic Bands Upgrade

Alas, it's shown up multiple times since I posted that, but it never lets you fully check out with it. Then after an hour or so they take it out of the roster like it was never there at all. Thank you for keeping a look out for it though, I truly appreciate it!!

Y'know, I seriously wonder if they literally find just one or two of these bands and decide to post them on the upgrade page for the heck of it. That would somewhat explain why they sell out two seconds after they become available.

For those of you who purchased the Galaxy's Edge bands, does it show a picture of it on your order screen when you go to see your MagicBands? Mine is showing as a blank white icon, while our other two are showing the actual bands ordered.

No, we have 4 blank white circles. I would be more worried, but when I ordered bands for our June trip the blank white circles came as the correct bands, and the circles with a plain color band came as the (incorrect, because we had ordered a special one) plain colored band that was shown. So I’m fairly confident we’ll get the GE ones.

What I’m more worried about is if we’ll get them in time. It let me order at exactly 11 days prior to our trip. We leave early in the am on the 11th day. It says you can have them mailed up until 11 days, so we should be ok, but they haven’t shipped yet. I would have been getting them at the resort, I hope they don’t come after our trip!

Unless I want the Fox & Hound, all the good ones are coming up as out of stock. Including the white castle band, Spaceship Earth, and the Darth Vader band. Frustrating!

Does anyone know what, if anything is on the opposite side of the Galaxy's Edge MB? I have searched and the only photo I can find is what is on the side without holes.

No, we have 4 blank white circles. I've been wondering the same thing! With most of the bands you can look on the ShopDisney site to figure it out, but I've not seen this one up yet. Hopefully someone from here can post a photo once they receive theirs.

Even though my trip's still a ways away, I've only got one upgraded band to worry about, so I keep checking in case the coveted one appears finally. So far, no dice.

For curiosity's sake, I checked ebay to see what the price was going for the band I want (the castle one), knowing better than to consider ordering from there since they jack up the price so much. Look at this:

What gets me is that 4 other people actually PAID this amount?? I mean I know it's a beautiful band but for that price you can literally STAY at Pop for a night in January. I think I'm a bit more comfortable checking the magicband roster every day for our $10/15 options instead, tyvm

I literally JUST saw that, they recently got it back in stock. See, I still have a ways to go on my trip, and if I were to buy it the band wouldn't be personalized, plus it's not that sweeeet sweet $10 price point lol

The problem is I'm willing to wait since my trip's 6 months away, but the band may not be here by then. I might have to end up biting the bullet if I really want this band. I just am sad I can't take advantage of the discount. If the system worked the way it should, most of us wouldn't have this problem

Hey, I get it! I partly wonder if Disney holds back inventory just so some of us give up and go buy it at full price lol

It does feel like on a lot of the bands that they're starting to increase inventory to where they don't sale out so quickly. Hopefully you're able to snag the castle well before the start of your trip so that you don't have to worry about it!

still dont have our bands ordered as both of the ones we want dont seem to be available AST and when they are we can't get through checkout.

I have 12 more days to order my bands. This is beyond ridiculous. I’ve been trying to do it since they announced this option. I have second and third choices for each of the three of us, so I’m being flexible. But even when three of any of those bands show up at the same time, I still can’t get an order through. I have tried in the morning, afternoon, and evening. If I wake up in the middle of the night, I try then. Still nothing.

I want to find out too - I would hate to buy it and end up not liking what's on the other side.

This is my concern as well, I am already not a fan of them being grey but I can overlook that if what is on the other side is Chewy or a droid.

I have been trying multiple times a day for months trying to get bands for just two people for two separate trips. I have had no luck even though I have chosen different options. Every time I get to the end I get the selection is no longer available. Even though I can see the band in the system later in the day. It's so frustrating.

It was SUPPOSEDLY available earlier today, I saw the blue Stitch one with him hanging onto the side with his claws, but they changed the roster again within the last half hour or so and now I don't see him. I'm sorry.

Every time I've checked today there's been a DIFFERENT set of options available.
I've got 4 days left to order - I'm still waiting for BOTH female and male villians to be available AND be able to get through checkout!

It's incredibly frustrating, even my backup options are not available and seem to "sell out" within seconds. Sending pixie dust your way though! I see one Villains band right now, hopefully fate will be kind and let you get both your bands in time for your trip!
