Does anyone else have as many problems with their Walmart grocery? I have never had this many problems before. We used it all the time before moving and never had an issue. This one sucks so bad. We chose a pick up time of 4-5 pm but drove over anyway when it still said preparing (this was at like 4:30). We called and they said they’d bring it out. We ended up waiting 30 minutes and it was past 5 pm when a lady came out saying we would get an email when it’s ready. What?! I’m not sitting around all day waiting for you to tell me my order is ready. It’s already getting late and we needed things from that order for dinner. Why did we even pick a time?

This is the same Walmart that gave me tweezers instead of a whistle.

TPG has a review up for the Park Hyatt Tokyo.

I know some of us have this hotel in our upcoming travel plans or wanderlists, so I thought I’d share. The reviewer’s criticisms seem fair at least not overly whiny and consistent with some of @*WDW*Groupie*’s impressions when she stayed there this summer.

I only did it once here but everything was great and well packaged. I haven’t been back because the Walmart was kinda far. The ones near me don’t do grocery pickup.

We used it all the time in Iowa and never had any issues. This Walmart sucks so bad. It’s now 6 pm and we still have not gotten notified about our order. I called twice and they didn’t answer

That’s ridiculous. I would have left 5 mins after the pickup time.

ETA do you have peapod or fresh direct? Those are my favorite grocery delivery services. Peapod is pretty reasonable. Fresh direct is expensive but everything is high quality

I’ve only used it when we are in Orlando. Grocery shopping is one of my least favorite things to do on vacation. I have had good luck and been thrilled to just drive up and have someone else load.

I think it takes time adjusting to customer service in Florida. After living there and visiting my parents frequently as well as numerous trips to Central FL, I cannot believe how slow/inept customer service people are there.

We did leave 5 minutes after the pickup time lol.

I'm not sure if we have those, but the only reason we've been doing Walmart is because we get $10 off each time by making a new email. It's not worth the effort, though.

I called again at 6 pm (which is an hour after our pickup time) the lady said, "We are an hour and a half behind schedule". Okay, that's fine. Maybe tell your customers that so they aren't showing up wondering why the hell their order isn't ready yet. She checked and said our order is ready now. Dh drives there and EVERY SINGLE parking spot is full for grocery pickup. He said he's leaving by 6:30 if they don't bring it out. I guess we'll just contact them and cancel the order. It was nice getting the $10 off each time, but absolutely not worth this trouble. The people working at our Walmart obviously have no idea what they're doing and don't care.

LOL I used to do this with seamless and Grubhub. Then they started banning me with my credit card. I made fake google voice phone numbers and everything lol. I was a broke college student. Now I have a million credit cards I should try that scheme again lol

Something seems to be very broken with that Walmart's logistics process. I would definitely follow-up if you are offered a survey or contact the GM, DM, etc. I know Target took it's surveys VERY seriously. Sadly, nothing will be done about it if no one reports it. I know Walmart also ships to homes from stores as well. I can only imagine what those orders look like 😲 (whistle, whistle, whistle..)

We’ve complained so many times through the app and they’re good about giving money back but I can’t get my time back. After all of that (Dh waited another HOUR until 7 pm to get the order) they didn’t even give us our rolls of turkey because they were “out of stock” and changed our kind of pop

We are booked here for 2 nights next month. I am keeping my expectations on the low side. At this point I wouldn't be interested in putting in the effort to cancel and re-book a different Hyatt property. The trip is next month and I've moved on to planning the next few trips.

I've been toying with doing something insane (what else is new) and going to Africa just for a few days to check off our 7th continent. But I'm not willing to do that unless I can stay at the Giraffe Manor in the main manor and they are booked solid for the dates I can do it and use the BA companion pass. This has now shot up to the top of my bucket list of things to do and so I am planning how to travel hack it for my Bday next year. Actually, my Bday is ALWAYS next year, but I actually mean the one after this next one LOL.

If all goes well, that will be me and PlanePrincess for NYE/NYD 2021. Well, minus the dress. He's got the long hair though LOL

So, it looks like I will take it easy for the BA companion pass trip. I've decided we should go back to Ireland, and also visit Northern Ireland assuming fallout from the Brexit outcome this Halloween doesn't throw a monkey wrench into the plans. A longer Ashford Castle stay for that trip is what I'm looking forward to doing and essentially lighting a match to the UR or MR stash to make it happen. #worthit and can't waiting to go on another hawking/falconry stroll.

Wow, seems like something I was going through with Amazon. Credits/refunds are only so good. Fix the root cause of the issue! I guess Walmart doesn't care enough to figure it out :confused3

Right now, I'm not interested in delivery services especially since I like to examine every strawberry in the carton, check my eggs for cracks, smell stuff and keep my eyes open for new and interesting products. I can however see that this is a service that is valuable to people who don't have time, or are incapacitated whether by injury or age, or to people that simply hate to walk into a grocery store.

I have offers for Walmart, Safeway and Giant (peapod) plus multiple other services floating in and out of my emails and mailbox all the time.

So this brings me to my daughter's food delivery just a few minutes ago. I told her I was eating leftovers and she rarely eats leftovers so she ordered Chipotle. Door Dash delivers it here. She came down about 7:30 so I figured she had been notified it was on it's way. 7:55 came and she got a phone call - the food was outside and the elderly lady didn't think she could make it up the steps to ring our doorbell! So much for Door DASH!!!! Lol!!

Daughter went out to get the food and tipped her extra. Felt sorry for her! Our steps are 4 and I run up and down those and the back ones - two more sets, all day when I'm puttering around doing my yard work - my excuse for not doing my housework by the way. I caught a quick glimpse and she looked maybe 70ish? (I'm 66). Virginia tags and a California area code according to daughter. I have to give her lots of kudos for trying to do a job at her age (for whatever reason).

While I've never done Walmart Grocery pickup it is the main store I use for household supplies and I am happy with it. However, on our last WDW vacation when we went to Walmart it was so crowded and just not good that I now understand why some people refuse to go there.
