They charged you 55,000 more points than your original flight that was cancelled 😟 Wow

As far as the delay......we received vouchers when it was a mechanical delay....but never for weather, since it’s something the airlines can’t control...
But it does no hurt to ask

Any reason a WM register wouldn’t be able to do a $500 Serve load? I picked up my first $500 card today and couldn’t get it to work at the register. The cashier said she thought it might be because $500 was their limit. I didn’t try the money services there because they’re inexplicably told me they can’t do Serve loads yesterday. I have another WM where money services works fine though. I suppose I could always break my $500 card into smaller transactions if necessary?

The times I've run into this the reasons have been:

1. There was a fraud block on the VGC because I had changed the PIN. I had to call the number on the back of the card to get the block removed, and wait several hours before using it.
2. My Serve was shut down.

Hope #2 is not the case for you since you just got it!

I got a response from SW Twitter DM that they are looking into it.

It looks like you were charged the following in points
16,642- 5 times
66,566- once
Did you have 6 tickets ?

This is an embarrassing question, given that it's on the DIS, but it's been 7 years since I've been to WDW and my idea of hacking back then was to get the Disney Visa. Do DVC rental brokers count as travel expenses on the CSR? I checked out Flyertalk's dps and didn't see any mention of them.

And can you charge meals to your DVC room and pay the room charges with Disney GCs? Oh my, it's been so long.

@2nd question - yes, you can pay with gift cards but in order to charge back you will have to give them a card. You also need to pay before they do the charge once you hit the max ($1500 I think) or the night before checkout.

1st question - pretty sure I've heard/read yes, but I can't document it.

Anyone interested in the target collabs you can see what lines your store will have here they released what each line will have yesterday.

Surprised all 3 stores near me will have lilly. One has everything, one over half and the one still being remodeled less than half.
Interesting as the two smaller stores near me have 15 each. The SuperTarget closest has only 7.

Just wanted to share my experience since I did get out of "popup jail" recently. I received a popup at least 6 months ago when applying for my 3rd Amex (had SPG Biz and Hilton biz). I had put quite a bit of spend on the SPG, but not much on the Hilton since meeting the MSR. After I got the popup, I made sure to never let a statement close with a zero balance (even just putting a few small vending machine purchases on it) every month. The SPG I seemed to get better Amex offers on, so it did get more spend on it, but still not a huge amount (a few hundred a month I'd estimate). I did pay the SPG biz AF when it came due (I think in Feb or Mar) this year, which I think helped me. I was approved for the Hilton Surpass a few months ago, and have since closed the Hilton biz. I did receive my Hilton SUB this month.

So, for anyone that might be trying to get out of jail but isn't willing to put a large amount of spend on the card each month, you might at least try to not allow the statement to close with a $0 balance, and if there are any cards that seem somewhat worth the AF, go ahead and keep it for a year. Oh, and also I always waited to pay the amount due after the statement closed, so that it didn't show a $0 statement balance.

For my ongoing spend, I'm trying to keep at least some spend on the cards, and have considered using the Hilton at grocery stores to buy VGC's to use with Serve, but haven't actually made the effort to do that so far. I might next month when I don't actually have any organic spend on it since working on my CIP MSR.

Anyways, hope this helps!
That's interesting about not letting statements close with $0 balance. I almost always do that. That may explain why Amex is punishing me.

I know a few here will appreciate this. I’m in line for SDMT and just apologized to this bucket for accidentally bumping into it :rotfl2:

Bless your kind heart. The world needs more of you. Poor DW got whacked in the head a few times by a toddler trying to pop bubbles in Disney Junior Dance Party while the kid’s parents were laughing and taking pictures/video of the whole thing with their phone. Not a sign of awareness or apology.

And I thought those baby parade wagons were banned from the Parks? We saw two of them rolling through DCA today!

I just wish people would be more aware they’re sharing the park with 30,000-40,000 other people all looking to have a good time.

Disney has tix for 2 to 4 days ($74-81 per day), can’t enter before noon. Think it ends Dec 15th. Not Hoppers.

https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/admission/tickets/mid-day-magic-tickets/

There’s also MNSSHP and MVMCP tickets ($79 and 99, respectively, advanced purchase)
Noon tickets? I'm usually on my way out of the parks at that time due to the combination of heat and throngs of people.
Thanks, but no thanks, Disney.

"This option works best for Guests who are looking for an opportunity to start their morning at a leisurely pace, to enjoy other early-morning activities (golf, pool, etc.), or to travel from their accommodations."

They forgot "and also loves... and we mean really loves crowds."

I'm insane. You're better off not being insane.

Mine
Chase: Marriott Biz, CIP x2, Hyatt, SW Priority, CSR, CFU, Marriott
US Bank: Radisson Rewards Biz
Wells Fargo: Biz Plat and Propel
Barclays: Aviator and Arrival+ (will close both of these)
BOA Premium Rewards (will close this)
The other 27 are Citi and AMEX. My only 2 refuges left :)
Since you’re one of the few with Citi cards, do you have any that earn TY points? Which is most useful? Or none? We have an old Sears Card that now earns TY points. Thinking of getting another card with TY points.
ither we’re getting old or we’ve been completely spoiled by staying on site. We’ll go with the latter.
Yeah, I’ll admit I’m old and the hotels on Harbor are a better walk for me. Currently have the Courtyard and Fairfield Inn both booked while I decide.
Okay--so now I've cried 3 times at work today. I'm super stressed about a million things including my 47-minute layover (somehow I lost a minute--it was 48 minutes last week) in O'Hare requiring a change in terminals. And on the way back my layover that was over an hour but is now 50 minutes. Awesome! But I decided to use some of my Amex Platinum airline credit and purchase economy plus seats for us for our first leg of the trip to get us off the plane at O'Hare as fast as possible. The rest of the credit will go toward checking a bag so DS and I don't get our spinners gate checked and then possibly upgrading seats on the way back (although right now it's slim pickin's and we're in row 18). So at least the airline credit isn't a complete waste.
I’m so sorry you’re having such a hard time. This week was hellish over here too. First week of school, lots of forgotten stuff, preseason soccer camp 3 hours every night plus a tournament this weekend, plus a whole new software/electronic medical record at work which makes charting twice as long. Throw dog training class in there too, which obviously isn’t working as said dog chewed a hole in DSs bedsheet last night. TGIF, sangria time.

Has anyone downloaded/used the mobile app to check into their Marriott room? I booked a room for son and girlfriend for tomorrow night and I was considering having him down load the app. I am calling the hotel to have him added to the room.
