Ric Ocaske (Cars) died.

I remember the Cars You Might Think from the early 80's. I recall watching it on MTV (back when MTV did music videos) and its CGI scenes and thinking how creative it was (like Dire Straits Money For Nothing).

RIP, Ric Ocaske, thanks for the memories.

Seems kind of amateurish today, but certainly back then it was state of the art. In less than a decade it was getting as advanced as Michael Jackson's Black or White video.

I remember when the first Cars album came out we were in HS and were blown away with another local band that made it big. So many good memories with those songs. May Ric RIP.

I was a huge fan of The Cars in HS and college, especially their 1st 2 albums. I saw them on The Midnight Special (yes, as a matter of fact, I am that old) and was hooked. They were one of the groups that transitioned from the 70s to the 80s with great videos that MTV played on heavy rotation.

This evening I think I'll put on their debut album, which Elliot Easton jokingly called their Greatest Hits album, in tribute. RIP.
