Disney Gift Card Deals

I keep getting $10 off $100 codes sent to me from Raise. I've bought 2x $100 Disney gift cards for $90 each so far, and I just got ANOTHER code sent. I'm wondering if 10% savings is good or not. Haven't been buying discount Disney gift cards for long, so not sure what to shoot for. I know any amount is savings, but what is the discount percentage rate that everyone likes to buy at?

The discounts have been pretty skimpy lately, with many of the previous routes closed. 10% off is a good buy price.

People have sometimes been able to buy at 15-20% off, but that has involved a degree of risk or luck.

For example, risks can include cash back portal that technically excludes GCs so no recourse if the purchase doesn’t track, or making multiple steps like converting one form of GC to another that might not work at the final store.

Luck can be in the form of a targeted offer on a credit card (I never get good ones) or living near a grocery store that runs good promos (mine are few and far between).

I’d take a sure deal at 10% and be happy.

10% is good for very little work. It's my minimum discount I'll do for now. I'm averaging just under 15% and that's watching for every promo I can nab (Amex promos, Chase promos, etc.).

*it's not sure. Your risk is the gift card amount disappearing right before you go to use it because it was reported stolen/a stolen cc was used to purchase the gift card. Now you're paying full price for your Disney bill. You can get around the seller draining the card by transferring your balance to another Disney gift card but if Disney gets report it was stolen money they can trace the funds from gift card to gift card and clawback/freeze. The risk of that happening is minimal but it exists so I think it's important for everyone to remember purchasing on Raise still has risk.

I'd be concerned that the Disney GC's are for store use only. Make sure you're buying the right ones.

@Bonnie1222 posted this regarding her recent purchase at Raise...
"I searched Disney, and picked one that only said Disney when the search popped up options.
I used my first purchase $10 off because I couldn't get the 10% off to work. Finished the transaction and got the confirmation email. It says it is for a Disney STORE gift card and that I can only use this for anything at Disney store online and do not combine with other gift cards

This happened to me with a $100 AMC gift card. I immediately added it to my AMC account after purchase to prevent draining by the seller. The money disappeared when I went to use it and when I called I was told that a stolen cc was used to purchase the original gc so AMC took it back. I haven't used Raise since.

They’re different cards on Raise so you only end up with Store Card if you go too fast and don’t pay attention to what you’re purchasing.

That is the main negative about Raise. They do guarantee their cards for 1 year, so at least you have some protection but it stinks when you have to deal with a drained card. That's happened to me twice. Now, I try to only buy cards that I will use right away or I buy walmart to use at sam's for other cards.

I was going to point out the guarantee. I mean, yes, it's a risk and a pain to deal with, but at least you're not out money. Planning for quick use is a good idea, though.

Does anyone know if there's a way to get Amex/Visa gift cards without paying the service fee? Starting to figure out Christmas presents for people.

I remember a special offer for discounted Disney GC through BJs this time last year but haven’t seen any such discounts so far this year.
