"Official" 2019 Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party: Oh-So-Jolly Holiday Celebration

I thought I could resist but, I was wrong. My grandma and I will be going Nov. 11th! She loved MNSSHP so it was easy to convince her to go with me. I haven't been to the Christmas party since 2013 so I'm very excited!

I didn’t go on it, but it’s got some stylized Xmas tree props along the grassy areas on the sides of the track.

Any opinions from last year - contemplating the Plaza Garden dessert party. Last year we did Tony's. For the Parade viewing it was totally worth it for me. Can you stay in the Garden for the parade? Fireworks & parade are my party priorities (I'm sort-of-solo this year... chaperoning HS Marching Band trip so it's just what I want to do). Just watched the Live fireworks show... and I want to see the projections on the castle for sure!

We went on the speedway and I’ll post some pics later. It was very wet! Luckily we have rain coats but the rain is coming down!

Space mountain was super cool! Xmas music and you could see the tracks. Kind of felt like we were outside!

We’re going into monsters inc now.

Well, bearing in mind that the sky opened up partway through and my poor glasses were losing the fight:

I enjoyed them. I actually don’t feel bad anymore about losing out on the dessert party, because I managed to creep over and weave in dead center of the hub near the Partners statues 10 minutes before the show. Benefits of being solo I guess. Even so, while the projections were cute, I don’t think they’re nearly as impressive as the ones in HEA and I would not break my neck or sanity trying to get that perfect view out front just for their sake. I don’t think they especially add much and imo the actual fireworks are the most impressive thing about this show by far. A lot more perimeter stuff than the old shows.

Well here is my rundown for tonight. Go there about 5pm went on Winnie with a fp, it's a small world with a fp than we headed to people mover before the party started. 15 min queue for ppl mover .

We took a break after and did some shopping. Than went off to big thunder posted queue was 30 min only took 15. Got some cookies and went to jingle cruise at 8:08 . Queue was 40 min long. Got more cookies went to space mnt. Posted wait was 35 took us about an hour due to down time with a lost item on the tracks. Was a great overlay. Missed the fireworks and the sky opened up and we headed out.

All in all.. not worth it for me. We did more rides yesterday doing the fp shuffle . The only thing that was worth it was space mnt. So I'm glad we did it but we won't do it again. I knew they were full tonight but.. it was super packed.

Awesome, this makes me happy I scheduled Tony’s party! Do we have to go out early to get that view, even with the party or is that the one everyone gets?

We were front and center, but you really don't get a bad view from the roped in area... unless you happen to be standing behind tall folks. If memory serves, we got to the roped in area about half an hour before the parade started. Not totally necessary, but we wanted the best view possible. Of course, the parade comes straight at you, but also goes by you on your right hand side (when facing the castle). I've never had a better view, or that much character interaction during a parade.

Well the second parade is a rainy day xmas cavalcade. Sad I didn’t see the big parade but that was a rare treat! Now I’m going to try and make it back to Beach Club and pass out.

The fireworks were very disappointing due to the weather. The rain, clouds and smoke made it impossible to see the projections and a lot of the fireworks got lost in the clouds. Tons of people left early due to weather. L

Does anyone know if any of the Character photos taken during the party used the Photo Box instead of a Photopass Photographer?
