Do they only turn on the the Christmas lights / overlays on the rides starting after 7pm when the party starts?
Wondering if we tried to FP+ Space Mountain earlier, will the overlay be on at that time?

I havent tried it however I've lived through a bunch of youtube reviews vicariously - and i've heard great things. Mostly that coconut dole whip is amazing. Which, I can only imagine it is - as long as you love coconut (I SO DO)
Yes I saw reviews from bloggers and it seems like it get good reviews! I was hoping someone here had actual experience :) sounds great though, I love coconut!

Just got back to the Swan after a very successful party. Tried some paid snacks, got about 100 cookies and various other free treats to bring home, did the dessert party and watched the fireworks, rode some rides, and met tons of characters with very low wait times!

Nick and Judy - 10 minutes
Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum - 10 minutes
Seven Dwarfs - less than 10 minutes
Donald/Scrooge/Minnie/Daisy - 20 minutes
Christmas Belle - 5 minutes
Rapunzel/Flynn/Tiana/Naveen - 0 minutes
Cinderella/Prince Charming/Elena - 0 minutes

We just missed the cutoff for the line for Snow White, Aurora, and their princes.

The party was very crowded, and the plaza garden fireworks viewing area seemed much more crowded than previous sold out dessert parties. But we still had a great time. And the new fireworks are very good. Other than the cheesy final song.

Do we have confirmation from a non-rainy party that Minnie, Daisy and all Ducks are meeting in the same line this year?
How long have waits been?
They are still all meeting together! At 10:40ish we waited 20 minutes.
Also how long have waits been for Belle in her Christmas dress?
At 11:15ish we only waited 5 minutes.

What is the best spot to watch the parade in Frontierland?

Right in front of Pecos Bill's. You can sometimes grab spots to sit on the wall. But stay on the same side as the restaurant. On the other side it gets very crowded and there is noplace to really sit while you wait - no curb or anything - the rope is right in front of you.

7:00 when the party officially starts.

I have seen some YouTube vloggers report that they actually start the ride overlays at 6 PM, when the park closes for non-party-goers. Although the party "officially starts" at 7, the park "closes" at 6, so there is that strange in-between hour where the park is closed but it's not the party yet, and in reality, it IS the party... does that make sense? :)

Recommendations on where to watch the fireworks if you don’t want to stake out a spot super early. Can you watch from the tomorrow land bridge area?

Anywhere you can see the sky above and slightly to the left of Cinderella castle

Any Actual reports on if the overlays start at 6 or 7? So may opinions both ways! Would really help my plans if we could knock out speedway and tea cups before 7.

I mean what re you planning on doing if the overlay doesn't start until 7pm? If you are close you could always swing by and check. I have also heard it both ways

I'm so confused about all the fireworks and parade viewing parties within the party. Trying to make sense of it all and decide whether to book! It's just me and my 28 year old daughter. I would prefer to have a place to SIT for both the parade and the fireworks. But it looks like you would need to book two parties (forget it! :)) to do both... It looks like Tomorrowland Terrace has actual chairs, but Plaza doesn't... and people are posting that to get a good spot in the reserved viewing area for Tony's you still have to hold your spot up to an hour before the parade! So much conflicting info!! If we do NOT do these parties, and we want to see the fireworks at 10 and the parade at 11 from Main Street, can anyone suggest a strategy? I'm all over the map and freaking out a little...sigh. We did the MVMCP years ago before they had these extra parties (also I was younger :0 ) help!

the only one that has seats for viewing is the terrace view for the fireworks, the tony's thing does not give you chairs to watch the parade, just a place to come and go and get food through out the party.
I have done these parties MNSSHP and MVMCP for about 12 years now and never had a need for the extra parties, just a personal opinion, not hating on people that swear by them.
I would grab a spot on MS for the fireworks right around 9:45pm, watch the fireworks and then stay put until the parade, if you must watch from MS. If not you can always watch the fireworks from MS (if you wish) and move over to Frontierland for the 11pm parade
We watched the fireworks from Crystal Palace and walked over to get cookies and Frontierland was pretty empty for the 11pm parade around 10:30

Thank you!! We really have our hearts set on MS for the parade this year - we've done it in many previous years from in front of Pecos Bill's - that used to be my go-to spot for all parades, but for Christmas I think there is just nothing quite as magical as Main Street. So I'm going to take your advice - I think it's perfect. We'll just go to MS before the fireworks and find a spot on the curb to sit and wait, stand up for the fireworks and then sit back down and wait for the parade. My daughter can go get us hot dogs and ice cream while I hold the spot, and people-watch! Is there any reason we would need to get to MS earlier than 9:45 for the fireworks AND a spot on the curb?

I agree on MS viewing, my favorite spot is right under the tree to see the parade coming toward you. Of course to get that spot you must watch the first parade because it becomes part of the roped off viewing during the second parade.
I say check the crowds that day. Many people cram closer to the castle for fireworks, so the further down MS you are the later you could grab a spot. I like to give myself at least 30 minutes just to be sure

The first parade will have just finished up on Main Street, and those people may hold tight for fireworks.

I did the party tonight. I was miserable. The ride wait times weren't too bad. But the crowds are high and making me anxious. I hate when I feel like I can't navigate or stay with my group because there are people everywhere. And that's how I felt tonight. At an expensive, hard ticket event.
The party was PACKED, but we had

I did the party 11/21 Thursday...it was PACKED, especially Tomorrowland with 3 attractions with overlays and the dance party at Cosmic Rays. I would NEVER pay for a party and pay for ANOTHER party (and Ive done TONS of hard ticket events in 10 years)...we sat to the left of the castle by the ornament shop for the fireworks and had a great view, then my son snuck over to near Starbucks at 10:30 for a spot for the parade. We had great character interaction.Ive been to 2 MNSSHP ans this was my 2nd MVMCP and it was insanely packed! 45 minutes to see Scrooge McDuck??? We did get treats, rode rides walk-on mostly, and enjoyed the decor. Our best experience was seeing the Reindeer Wranglers and ALL Country Bears in Frontierland, we danced like crazy! But it was packed even at midnight. They were running tons of busses so no issue getting back...but I wouldnt pay extra for a party in a party. With some work, you can find a spot to sit.

If the overlays don’t start until 7 I will do them then. But if at 6 I can get in line for a character before 7. And have less to squeeze into party time.

I agree with you that you dont need these extra parties...Tonys doesnt have a seating area for the parade. We had no problem at 10:30 getting a spot on Main Street for the 11pm parade, despite an insanely packed 11/21 party.
