This may not be what you are looking for. I saw a really amazing set of pictures that a family had done with their son, as he grew, next to the baseball statue outside Casey’s Corner. I wish I had done it with DGD.
Okay so maybe we need to pick one spot that means a lot to us and get pictures with him as he grows. I think that’s a great idea! I’m thinking we have to get some at POFQ because that’s where our honeymoon was at

You only need to pay tax on the gains. $19k with $11.5k contribution, so gains were around $7500 for you? The tax forms don't take this into account and will just show the entire amount.

Thank you and this is what I thought. The Fidelity forms just threw me into a tizzy. And made DH mad. But I know you can't be double taxed. That's where that 8606 comes in.

We did that 2 years ago, that’s why my DH has 2 personal cards. I don’t have a business so don’t think I can qualify for both cards. Although, I am an RN with a specialty credential. I am employed by a local hospital in my specialty. I could do independent consultations, but I never have. Could that qualify me for a business card? What would I need to prove to qualify for the business card?

Sure, it can be a business you're thinking of starting. Or if you ever sell stuff on eBay, a lot of people use that as their business. Apply as a sole proprietor, your name as the business name (don't get cute), and your SSN as the tax ID.

@Haley R that would be so cute for something in Star Wars since you’re doing the space theme and did your announcement there. Is there a statue or something you can start with now and then visit every year with your son to recreate? (I haven’t been, so no idea)
I’m thinking we might do this at POFQ but I’m not set on it. We had our honeymoon there and love it. I’ll have to talk to Dh and see if he has any ideas. I’m really not huge into Star Wars

That is plenty to qualify you. You won't need any proof if you apply as a Sole proprietorship and use your SSN for EIN. It's super easy. Have you been to the Reddit Page and reviewed SouthFayetteFan's SW Companion Pass Fireside chat? Lots of good info. I would read that before making a decision.

Has anyone signed up for The Economist on via AA portal? It's 2000 miles for, $1/week must keep subscription on 60 day. It would be about $8 for 2000 miles. Any downsides?

I feel like I will need to travel to WDW each year so I can be in the park for the photos. After all I was at the SWGE preview event where you did your announcement 🤣

Ah, yes Form 8606. I use Turbo Tax, so didn't remember what form it was (just checked last year's). It can be tricky sometimes to get it to come out right, have to make sure to pick the right options.

One year, I used a CPA. Highly rated on Yelp, but he had a subordinate do ours. Conversion was wrong. I knew we didn't owe that much. Needless to say, we never used him again.

Lol I’ll make sure to let you know ahead of time so you can be there. BTWs we’re planning on going the weekend of February 21

Yikes. I go to HR Block - same woman for a decade now. I'll remind her of this form but she will get it right.

My taxes are too complicated at this point for me to do on my own. I just don't trust myself.

No, my sister posts these fabulous looking pics that are far from reality. They went to Greece and every day she posts cute pics of the kids, visiting the Parthenon, yummy food etc. She comes back and says vacation was miserable, the kids complained constantly, the only reason the kids wanted to go to a restaurant was for free WiFi on their iPods, they drove 2 hours to go swimming and the kids forgot their swimsuits, etc. She returned from Greece saying she was never taking her kids in vacation again.

However fake FB and Instagram pics by “influencers” is a thing.

Are you related to the Bucket List Family?!

I’ve done the $12/12 week subscription for United. The terms should be the same or similar. You need to keep the subscription active for at least 60 days, but my points miles posted well before then. Only downside was The Economist charged the renewal fee at about week 10 and not at or after week 12. I noticed the charge and called to cancel and get the renewal fee refunded, which they did because I was still within the 12 week trial period. The refund took a while to post though.

Awesome! Thanks Lain.

So guys... I have a confession to make. And it's not easy to say this... but I've been cheating on this thread...

You see... this new ride, Rise of the Resistance (RotR) opened up at WDW. And there was a thread...and one thing led to another...and I became their spreadsheet guy. I didn't intend for it to happen, I promise!! I only looked, I didn't touch!!

Don't worry...after I head to Disney World next week, I promise I'll break it off!!! Please forgive me!!!

I think we all have a variation of that (going back to the stone ages with film cameras) but this generation has taken it to a new level. I know a millennial who posts gorgeous photos on Instagram and her life looks so glamorous but then she tells me how she had to work in that city, how things were awful and how unhappy she was. The fake posts really are a thing. People are cultivating an image and only a rare few know the stories behind those pics.

We have (and so do probably thousands of people) pics of DD from 2-20 in front of that huge troll in the Norway store. We didn't even do it on purpose - it was just such a funny place to take a photo - but we did make her pose with him the last time we took her to Epcot since now it's a thing.
