Ehhh... you get a $100 rebate after paying for 7 flights worth at least $700 ($100+/flight).

You have to hold both a business and personal United card to get the 5,000 anniversary miles. I'd guess the no fee MileagePlus card could qualify as a personal card, but then you're still paying a $99 AF on the biz card for 5,000 miles. I had a legacy United MileagePlus Select card that I was paying, I believe, a $95 AF for (before I knew about the no fee downgrade option) that had a 5,000 miles anniversary bonus. I didn't think it was worth paying $95 a year to keep.

I totally understand. One more thing to mention about the NCL card is that the WorldPoints can also be cashed out for $200 - just straight cash. BoA actually made a positive move a few months ago and made WP 1 cpp but with a minimum redemption of $25 (2500 points). So you could get a DD into your BoA account, a statement credit, or a check of the points before they expire (5 years) if you end up not traveling.

I wouldn't run right out and get it, but just letting you know it has back up options now.

What amazes me is that Amazon has found a way to get people to pay them for this! We refuse to have one in the house, even if they paid us to have it. I seriously think it's creepy.

yes it is... and we have two right now! I couldn't resist the siren call of the cheapskate....$1.00 each!!! ( I hear that old dollar store commercial in my head right now lol)
Seriously, I got them to use as a bluetooth speaker,they have fantastic sound..... I am now addicted to just ordering it around to play books,music,podcasts etc. And it has a little button that shuts off the microphone....when I feel like we are talking very personal (like ss# etc) I actually just unplug the thing.... (foil hat in place lol) But I figured since our phones/tv's/doorbells/nanny cams etc are listening willy nilly anyway...I might as well get in on the fun...Seriously,I'm aware of the level of privacy invasion, but it's here anyway in the form of my typing,my screen time etc. And the whole 'ad thing' was happening way before we got them. My ds told me I sold my soul for $1.00....but unless I'm going totally off grid,it's kind of a moot point IMHO.

My SW biz statement closed yesterday- however my pending points still hasn't posted. My personal SW closed earlier in the month and they posted right after the statement closed, within a couple hours.

How long does it normally take the SW biz points to post?

I'm catching up, so not sure if you got your answer, but my Biz statement closed on 1/19 and the 80,000 points were in my SW account on 1/20.

I also got a seasonal part time job at the nearby Disney Store (before it was taken over by another company for awhile) and got 15% off my Boardwalk points, 25% off either Vero or Hilton Head - can't remember.

I worked maybe 2-4 hours a week and spent more money than they paid me on Disney stuff, like the framed pin sets, pictures, pins, t shirts and whatever. In addition I bought BW while on a trip and staying at a Disney hotel - they credited some of my room cost to the purchase.

And, I got a couple of free tickets plus admission for myself at the gate with my Disney ID, and a cast member discount at some restaurants. It was definitely worth the very few hours I put into the job.

This is not a template for now, as I have no idea what the benefits are at present, but it worked out nicely for me.

ohhhh...back in the 'early' days,DVC was a great deal..... I wish I could go back in time to my (foolish) young self when I declined to buy into OKW for about 8k which included like 10 years of FREE park tickets..... (My Mom bought,hence why I now know how stupid I was lol) I remember at the time thinking that was an outrageous amount of money..... oh to be young again

YES!!!! I didn't remember to do this yearly (I wish I had) but we have a wonderful series of my kids growing up next to the Giant Shovel at OKW playground..... it makes me tear up just thinking about those pics.....

I lost 60,000 MR back in July because of referral clawbacks. Just saw that Amex credited me 40,000 MR back. Any ideas why? ​

I'd hang out heat lamps for them to gather around every night...but this comes from the mom of a kid who raised many a reptile over the years.... even as a YA he still wanders around Florida on our trips catching and examining all the types of lizards.... our last trip we sat by the pool while a super cute iguana came to visit us!

We have (and so do probably thousands of people) pics of DD from 2-20 in front of that huge troll in the Norway store. We didn't even do it on purpose - it was just such a funny place to take a photo - but we did make her pose with him the last time we took her to Epcot since now it's a thing.

Love this! We have a few pictures with the troll, but we took a picture of the girls with the Little Mermaid statute at BCV the first time we visited and take one every time we stay there. It is so cute to look at how they have changed (and the statute) over the years.

My ex is constantly offering his opinion on me having echos and google homes in my house. I like them and they make my life easier/more fun. The creepiness issue just doesn’t bother me (at this point). YouTube knows what I watch, google knows what I search for, etc.
