MK/Fantasyland “Early Morning Magic” (EMM) FAQ & Discussion

Seems like this morning is the first of the special Cinderella EMM
Cinderella’s line is 40 min!?!?!?
Do you get to meet more Cinderella characters?

We are going next week so I am interested to hear how the experience is today ... supposedly there would be other Cinderella characters out but wasn't clear where they would be/meet - if there are some "rare" characters I would be interested in making that part of our plan

We did the first date of the new format back in December 2018. We rode the carousel, met all the princesses, rode the teacups multiple times, winnie the pooh and a couple rides on 7DMT. We were able to be in front of the castle for the welcome show just prior to opening. We came from the side of Cosmic Rays. After the welcome show we hit up barnstormer and Dumbo and then did breakfast around 9:40

This sounds perfect! Just what I wanted to hear.

I think we will skip the Princess meet and greet - in fact we might do that first thing after the welcome show / rope drop. Anyway it sounds very doable to get in several rides and the welcome show.

I wasn't aware they added Cinderella. But we have reservations for the Castle dinner another day so we can avoid that line

not sure of your date, but it is a temporary "plussing" to it in celebration of the 70th Anniversary of Cinderella. It is only for February 11, 2020 through March 3, 2020

The additions mentioned are largely additional characters and themed food at the breakfast:

"As an extra special treat, guests may see some of their favorite characters from “Cinderella,” such as Suzy, Perla, Fairy Godmother, Drizella and Anastasia, and Prince Charming popping in to celebrate this special occasion. The special Cinderella enhancements will also include themed food and beverage offerings that will be added to the all-you-care-to-enjoy breakfast at Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Café."

I see (about Cinderella being temporary) We'll be there in July. Thanks for the clarification.

Anyone seen any reviews or reports from today's EMM with the Cenderella elements added? Just wondering about any special characters or other unique elements and thought on additions/changes to the food

I am also wondering the same thing! Considering EMM on Feb 27th, and would like to hear how it was!

At 9am would you say most of the people head to Tomorrowland to ride a few things because that is where breakfast is?

Do the people doing the morning event arrive quicker than the regular guests who arrive at 9am or are they both held so it is about the same?

we did it last Easter and we were held so we arrived at pretty much same time . It seems to vary tho

Just booked EMM for March 26 and had a question about getting to the park. We're staying off-site and I'm concerned about getting from TTC to the park. It sounds like the Ferry won't be an option and that the only monorail available will be the resort one. Will they be running regularly or should we build in extra time to ensure we get to the park on time? I'm thinking we should get to the parking lot by 6:45 to give us an hour to get to TTC, to the park, through security and check in. Does that seem reasonable?

We arrived at 6:30 in the morning. We got free parking since no one was there to work the booths yet. We were there ahead of bag check set up and had to wait. The ferry was not running and the monorail was slightly delayed. We still got over there in plenty of time to get our bands for EMM and waited next to the tunnel.

Just wondering because if all the morning people showed up to Tomorrowland then it might make sense to head another way...

Jenn

I've been looking into this as well as that is our plan for when we go. Seems that you are held at the entrance to Tomorrowland from Fantasyland and let go basically same time rest of park-goers are let in from Main St - some reports indicated same time some said a few minutes earlier.

I had been focusing on Space Mountain and seems that you can get there about when the first people coming from Main St get there, maybe slightly ahead but will have to go directly there, in a bit of a rush (not like you will get time alone to mosey over prior to rest of people coming in)

Does seem like Tomorrowland gets a bit of the rush so if you are worried about it, heading to Frontierland might be a bit less stressful

I found one review but it is from a website that is blocked by Disboards so can't post the link.

Seems like not a ton different but were 5 roaming characters (airy Godmother, Anastasia and Drizella, and Suzy and Perla .... the latter 4 meeting in pairs, so really separate "meets" - review said no queues for them just to ask for picture/autograph if you want one). Food structure was a little different in that you went up to the counter to get hot food and then the fixin' bar was set up as a cold buffet with fruit and charcuterie, etc. The only really "themed" things were the pastries.

As for timing, they did all the meet and greets, then rode Peter Pan’s Flight (two times in succession), followed by three rides on Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and one on The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh. They went to ride Space Mountain at 9am and said they had a 10-15 minute wait, did a restroom stop, and then went for the breakfast at 9:30.

If we get all that done I will be pretty happy
