SPACE RESTAURANT WATCH THREAD—Entrance photos post #1609!!

Can someone tell me where exactly this restaurant is located? I read its next to Mission Space, but we were there in October and I somehow didn't even notice it. Now I feel stupid for missing it!
Don't feel stupid; it's not meant to be noticed. The building is tucked away behind the trees, between Mission Space and Test Track, and can really only be seen if you go down a side path. The exterior is painted "go away green" to blend in with the trees. Guests will enter through the front of the Mission Space building (off to the right side), and there would have been no sign of that entrance yet in October.

This definitely feels like ROL deja vu.
Purely a guess- I could see S220 opening in April (absolutely before Memorial Day, yikes) and having it walk-up for the first couple months. Maybe we can get a reservation stopping by early on a day we're at Epcot? Can you imagine needing to rope drop, lol. By June ADRs should become available? 2TS credits or deposit with reservation would not surprise me.

Time Machine is a different restaurant entirely, slated to open July 2023, and also retroactively in April of 1974. ADRs can be made six months ago.
Do you choose or do the CMs direct you to your table, or deLorean, or Police Box, or Hot Tub, or Pym-designed van, classic Wells-style, or totally gnarly phone booth?

We are really hoping to go to Space 220 in May! (If they do open in April)

Does Disney usually allow reservations to be made up to 180 days when a restaurant first opens or are they usually walk ups only for a while?

We are going 4/4-4/11 and was hoping to snag a dinner at S220 but i'm actually relieved that it wont be opening in time. Even if it opens the week we are there (our luck) we have decided it isnt worth waiting in any soft opening lines and dealing with a brandy new launched (pun intended) restaurant still working out a crap-ton of kinks.

The ownership group is still posting up new jobs for bartenders, hosts and cooks so its obvious they aren't even close. Construction is one thing, but if you don't have the right team in place forget it - it will be a disaster meal. I'm happy we cut the cord and can focus on maximizing our time elsewhere.

For those who are going later in 2020, im looking forward to seeing the reviews and I hope you land the perfect ADR and have a wonderful time.
We won’t be back in Florida until November/December 2021. I’m hoping it will be up and running by then...🪐

And that we’ll be able to get reservations in all the madness of the ‘50th’ celebrations... 🥺

Seemed like it might be a good time to update this (mostly just reposting).

Everything we know about Space 220:
  • It will be in Epcot near Mission Space
  • It will open in 2019 Winter 2020 March 30, 2020 April 6? (hopefully?)
  • It will appear as if you were dining with daytime and nighttime views of Earth from 220 miles up
  • It will have food
  • It will have lots of beer/wine (more than 1,000 bottles of the world’s finest wines and a wide selection of craft beer)
  • It will have "a special space elevator that will ascend to the stars! Along the way, viewports will give you an aerial view of Epcot as you travel high above the planet."
  • It will be ran by the Patina Group
Everything we don't know about Space 220:
  • Exact date it will open, or even month for that matter at this point
  • When it will take ADR (This includes not knowing if it will be before or after it opens or be similar to any other restaurants)
  • What the menu will be (other than it will feature "modern American cuisine"
  • The cost (including dining credits)

I'm not particularly superstitious but if something else happens and this opening gets held up again, I'm going to start believing in a Space 220 jinx. 😉 I'm also still patiently waiting on that menu...:bored:
