Thanks but it is what it is. It's just CRAZY how those "odds" worked out...we "won" the LOTTERY ... to have NOT ONE of the Top 10 getting a good seat! At least, like Sara said, we're "sitting among friends" 'cause all of those girls and their families (another "funny statistic" from this class...there are NO boys in the Top 10 of the class!) are all really good friends. Eight of those Top 10 are athletes so the parents have "been together" the entire 4 years at sporting events.

I guess on the positive side you are sitting with friends and you don't have to worry about getting there two hours before the ceremony to have to find a seat. Bring your zoom lens. Wow not one boy, girl power

YES...totally among friends and we can arrive 30 minutes ahead of time instead of 2 hours! If it's as hot as it was today that will be a true blessing! I went out for my afternoon walk and had to change clothes when I got back...sweated WET! GIRL POWER is right...Allie's been trying to figure out if there's even a boy in the top 10%, not just the Top 10 students...she's pretty sure there isn't!

The lottery drawing was the only disappointment of the day; she had a folder full of "goodies" that she picked up today! Salutatorian Award, Academic Excellence Award, Calculus Award, a really cool surprise of the BABE RUTH AWARD (she beat out the "star volleyball player" for that one ...one of her good friends...they're having their graduation party together ), the Elmer Hatton Scholarship (Mr. Hatton was the chemistry teacher when David and I were in high school! He was single and left his entire estate to be used for scholarships for math, science or nursing students!) and acceptance to the Mu Alpha Theta...National High School and Two Year College Honor Society. ☺
