So here I sit at my computer cruising the Dis and planning a vacation with money I don't have and a DW who hasn't given me permission yet.

I've been doing that for the past 6 months. A virtual trip is the only kind of trip I'll be going on for a while. You gotta have fun somehow.

I must admit to only ever seeing a hummingbird once in my life (at least I think it was a hummingbird), in St. Lucia on my honeymoon.
I've never noticed one in Florida.
I believe hummingbirds get as far north as Nova Scotia in the summer, but they are not good travelers over water I guess because they can't get across the Gulf of St. Lawrence. They don't exist here on my island.

they offered us their holiday house in Cornwall, down on the SW Coast, (where the Lady K was born) for a week gratis. So there you go, if we go back into lockdown, no money lost, and its like a 5 min drive to the beach if its all OK.

Nice one. Vacations are better when they are free. More money to spend on booze.

I know some don't want to see alcohol in MK. I wouldn't want to see Food & Wine drunks stumbling around like at Epcot, but inside a restaurant/pub I think it's OK.

It's now time to lick the tip of our pencils, get out the virtual notebooks and turn our attention to Storybook Circus.

Hmm...Goofy's Barnstromer...or whatever it's called now. Make the track longer. Make the part going through the barn part longer, have stuff inside the barn you can actually see. Knock over a few cows or something.
There's a rest area that used to be a paper Fastpass station. It seems like a waste of space. Dare I suggest taking out a couple benches but put Mickey's house back in, maybe make it more interactive.

Morning all. Went out to a new beer brew/ restaurant last night one of the guys I play tennis with opened. Not too bad, but a ways to go still. Tennis this AM and graduation party for oldest later today.

First step is hit IASM with an M1A1 with 10 or so rounds. @londontime ... bring on your taser. The armor will more than protect me. Actually, really liked @Captain_Oblivious idea of being able to shoot the dolls. That would be a big improvement and AC/DC would get me in the mood as well.

Morning, Gents! Well, we made it Friday and that means just a few more hours until the weekend begins. Things are going pretty good for me so far this week. Took yesterday off so I could be home for when the new appliances arrive, we got 2 of the 4 yesterday. The stove and the dishwasher are on back order. Actually, the dishwasher, the one we ordered at least, as it turns out, is being discontinued....something the salesman should have known when he placed the order, but for some reason he didn't know. So who knows when the dishwasher we did order will come in. Oh well, it'll come in when it comes in. So far today things are pretty quite here at work, to the point I was told by the lead in the stockroom: "Go do what you want?" Me: "Really?!" (Yeah, I know, never question, but I did) SR Lead "Yep. Wanna look for work, go for it." Me: "Ok." So here I sit at my computer cruising the Dis and planning a vacation with money I don't have and a DW who hasn't given me permission yet. But when the time comes for a trip, I'll have done all my planning. I think the planning is have a fun. Well, have a good day, Gents.

Looking at it on my phone screen, I couldn't figure it out and thought it was a free standing building designed by Jack Skellington. Then, I finally saw the hummingbird and it made sense.

One more hour to go... then days off.

So... I know politics is out of bounds and all, but... as a non-US citizen, I really am curious about something.
Can Kanye West really just announce he's running for President and it be a real thing (which would make Kim Kardashian the First Lady... think about that!) or is it like Michael Scott on The Office declaring bankruptcy by just shouting it out?

I think polite people can have a discussion about politics and religion. Sometimes, we learn something new or perhaps consider something we hadn't before. It's really only the closed minded folks that have a problem. Nevertheless, your question isn't about a political opinion, but a process. Kanye West can announce he's running for president. So could I. However, I think each state has it's own requirements, i.e., filing deadline, # signatures, for being on the ballot to be elected. The primary elections where people vote and their respective parties nominate their their representative in the general election has already occurred. Kanye can only be a write in candidate at this point.

So, we have strolled around "New Old Fantasyland", ridden on Peter Pan with a bigger London scene and improved track and loading mechanism, taken the Docsoliday VIP Boat on IASW, with its reduced speed to really enjoy the attraction and take in the full wonder of the soundtrack (delivered by its own in boat speakers), and ridden Mr Toads Wild Ride (which is now trackless). We had a cheeky snack in the new improved Pinnochio Haus, sitting on Randall's Bench no 254, admiring the shrubs and inhaling that sweet Soarin' scent, while watching the Sword in the Stone Show. Randall would be sitting here, but he's in a meeting with finance on why the seating budget is at 650% of original projections, and he came to work in a Lambo.
We had a great meet with Cinderella, flipping Elena of Avalor the middle finger on our way past. That'll learn her. I'm not sure what she did to offend us, but we are a team, so she can do one. Right Jeff?
We pop over for a craft beer on tap in the new "Snuggly Duckling Tavern" in Rapunzels courtyard, washing down a Pascals Pretzel. The Carousel, now refurbed with all the horses from the movies is nice and busy. We've got a couple of hours to kill, so we wander through the wall where Drizella is plying her trade, so to speak. Maybe Darcy should offer her a coffee.
7DMT is now an extended 2 track ride, so now the queue is only an hour. 20000 Leagues is back, and Ariel has been shunted over to Princess Fairytale Hall.

Fairyland Pro Tip: After getting something healthy and yummy at Friar's Nook, if no seating there, go across to Pinocchio's. There always seems to be room there.

Cool picture. I've been trying to get a picture of the pair that are in my back yard but haven't gotten a clear one yet.

I know we have at least two, but possibly more. We have a feeder in the front and in the back of the house and have seen at least two at each. It's possible it's the same two, but I suspect not since once they know they have a good supply, the just return to the same spot. I set up a webcam on my computer pointed out the window. It took many snaps to get that one, so I understand.

Well, if you can make it down this way and stay with us, you should see plenty. If it's during the spring, you might even see males. Right now, all I'm seeing are females and I believe they may be feeding young with how often they seem to feed (or it's just a ton of 'em). Really don't know.

Depends on the state, and the election. For federal office in TX you still have to file to be on the ballot you just won't have a party affiliation. We don't have a blank space to write it in. But I think some states will let you.

Had a nice productive day today. Actually got the youngest out of bed to help me build her rabbit cage. We were supposed to be raising pigs for the county show but we lost both litters . So now we will be buying rabbits.
She stayed outside with me for a couple hours till she got too hot. I managed to finish up before around 3. It was only 101F up to 104F right now. Gonna sit here and have a beer and watch the outside thru the window till shade gets over the backyard and I can go out again.

Thanks. It was a tough hit but it happens. What made it worse is those sows were her show pigs from last year, and now they are off to slaughter cause we can't take the risk on them loosing another litter. My brother had about $5000 invested just in getting them bred not counting feed and meds. Emma will loose about $1000 she put in up front for pick of the litter. Once we get her rabbit it will wipe out what she won last season.

In Texas they have to register and get out on ballot, you can't announce it on Twitter and be on the ballot here. Not sure about other states.


We are an AG family so she understands but she had a period she was upset. She knew going in they weren't pets. Still hurts after all the hours she put in on them.
