Disney's WILDERNESS LODGE Information & Questions

The CCV exit door is in the middle of the wing rather than at the end of it. There is an exit that opens into the courtyard area and an exit that opens near the quiet pool. :)

There is an emergency fire exit at the end of the CCV building but the alarm will go off if someone opens the door.
Thank you! If we are on a higher floor is there stairs that go down to those exits? Or will we have to walk to the end near the main lobby?

Has there been any updates on whether the main Wilderness Lodge resort (not BR or CCV) will be opening in the near term? I have a reservation for Thanksgiving week in the main WL resort and it hasn't been cancelled or modified yet, so I'm crossing my fingers.

Wish I could give you good news, but it's still labeled as closed without a reopening date listed.

OK we need to clarify which DVC you booked: Copper Creek Villa (CCV) or Boulder Ridge Villas (BRV) you blended the two names in your post above.

CCV is the south side of the original WL and BRV is a standalone building just south of the original WL and behind the Bus Stop.

Do you know if you booked a dedicated 2 BR or a 2 BR lock-off (a 1BR + a Studio)?

CCV - There is 1 dedicated 2 BR unit & 1 2 BR lock-off on the 1st floor. Floors 2-7 have a mix of dedicated and lock-off 2 BR units.

BRV -There are no dedicated 2 BR units on the 1st floor but there are 14 2 BR lock-off units. Floors 2-5 have a mix of dedicated and lock-off 2 BR units.

Ha ha sorry about that. See I told you we were new to DVC. It's Boulder Ridge Villas. Yes it's a dedicated 2 bedroom. Thank you for the quick reply.

There are stairs from the higher floors that go down to those exits. :) You do have to do a bit of searching though, if you get a room on the 7th floor. Then you have to go down to the 6th floor to get to the staircase for the exit at the middle of the CCV.

Thanks! Good to know.

Do you know if they enforce the 11pm rule? Other resorts don’t kick people out at 11 as long as you are quiet, and that’s the one thing holding me back from booking for next summer! I love my late night swims!

Sorry I couldn't say. Our little one wasn't up that late.

Geyser Pointe has both a quick service window and sit down dining. There are drink refill stations at the quick service window. :)

Although I think these are closed and you have to ask a CM at the moment given COVID, right? I’m trying to remember what the setup was the one night we stayed there in July, but I seem to remember the quick service and drink window being closed? Major caveat in that this info could very well be stale.

It looked like the quick service was open when I checked the MDE app a few minutes ago. But who knows what they are doing now. I'm expecting things to be fluid for awhile. :)

I think all of the WDW pools (with the exception of the quiet pools at POR and CBR) are fenced in and the entrance gate to the pools are closed and locked at the posted closing time.

Can 5 adults sleep in a deluxe studio? I booked it today and it says sleeps 5. Now I am not so sure.
There are a lot of videos on YouTube. I did see a queen bed and a queen sofa bed. There may be another pull out bed, I can’t remember.

Here now at CCV on 6th floor in studio...close to elevator that goes out into court yard ...going to look tomorrow for an exit that goes out near quiet pool. Very quiet here only a few people in lobby areas and one CM behind desk. I know there was a laundry room near roaring fork but is there a laundry room specifically for CCV?
What time does first boat now leave for MK? Or bus?

Yes there is a Laundry room on the 4th floor on the CCV side. Here is a link to check the status and watch your laundry's status as you use the facility.

The boat / bus information will have to come from the Front Desk for the latest updates / changes may have changed this week as the hours just changed yesterday for the parks.

Yes, the CCV laundry room is on the 4th floor.

It faces onto the lobby, first room on that row.

Take the elevators that go down to the lobby. Get off at the fourth floor. Go left out of the elevator. At the hallway turn right (towards the lobby). Take immediate left onto row of rooms fronting the lobby (i.e. the row of rooms* that is "above" the front desk). Laundry room is the first room on your left [well, I am pretty sure it is the first room; could be the second :-) ).

(*none of them are guest rooms; they are laundry, housekeeping and various other service rooms)

The laundry room is UNDERNEATH what on the 5th floor is room 5104:

Doorway to CCV laundry room.

Holiday-time view across from laundry room into the lobby. Excellent location for people watching and picture taking !

If it is a CCV studio, they are limited to four persons. Hard four persons. So, no to CCV studio.

BRV studio will sleep five, but I wouldn't put five adults in a studio. There is one queen bed, one double sleeper sofa and a bunk sized murphy bed, meant for a child or very small adult.

Well the reason I am questioning it is because it is bookable for 5 adults. I had a previous trip which got cancelled due to covid...It was at Caribbean Beach. Same situation 5 in a room with that same type of fold down bed. After booking it, I got a call from Disney saying they are not allowing 5 in those rooms any more. So I am puzzled why they let me do the same exact thing at BRV if it is not really able to fit 5 adults.
