Resale Resorts Riv eligibility

I'm in the process of trying to buy direct. Called to confirm the date, they said October 19th is the minimum blue card goes up on. I asked about this Riviera resale stuff, they said they think this is just a clerical error and they have not been told anything.

I will say that guides are not allowed to say anything until Disney announces it even if they know what’s going on which sometimes they don’t. There was a lot of misinformation being spread around by guides before RIV opened. We’ll know for sure in a week or so. If DVC makes an announcement, then it changed. If not, then it didn’t. Honestly, what is the point of separating RIV now since REFL is cancelled?

If Disney updates the POS for a resort does it apply to past purchases? Or is it just the version that was current when you signed? Just trying to work out how it would work if they actually did roll back restrictions because the current RIV one which I’m guessing is the one most/all people who have purchased will have been directed to states the whole ‘resale cannot be used anywhere else etc’

People actually have SSR contracts that say specifically treehouses? I thought they were no different than the cabins and bungalos?
I believe all of the contracts simply list a unit number, including AKV. The higher unit numbers on AKV are Kidani and at SSR are Treehouses.

With the postponement (cancellation?) of Reflections and the prospect of any new WDW DVC construction questionable in the foreseeable future, it actually might make sense to bring Riviera into the fold and drop the restrictions.

If Reflections is dead and there won't be any new DVC for a while, I can see how they may have changed their minds about RVA so it's not the only DVC2 member for years to come. If they fold it into the current DVC system, the pressure is off to build new resorts.

While excited for the possible change, I think it's a bad sign for Disney overall (not that there haven't been several lately).

My direct AKV contract explicitly says "Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas - Jambo" on it. It could also be a function of unit numbers, but the contract does state that it in Jambo.

This is the thought I just had, Now that Reflections is pretty much gone, it could be why they had to rethink things because with no future WDW resorts on the table, it makes the entire perk of future resorts pretty useless.

As the POS documents for RIV say, they can change it anytime. But also remember, it can be changed back too.

We also don’t know if this new change will come with a fee since they could do that.

But I agree that if anyone made this in error, it doesn’t bode well for them.

Lets hope we get something from DVC soon, I would think that now that it is out there, if there is no truth to it, we’d get official notice from them sooner rather than later to stop the misinformation.

I certainly would be okay...and proudly admit I was wrong that it would be eliminated.,if it turns out to be true because it’s a pain not being able to use my BLT points at RIV!

Does your deed say that? I have one at each (as I can see from my memberships) but I just pulled up both deeds and neither outlines which one they are at.

All the resorts that have more than one building would be deed to one specific, Since Kidani was added to AKV after Jambo, those who bought as it continued to sell were given that info to indicate exactly where the unit they own is located.

I have a direct contract from Kidani purchased in 2017 and I can't find Kidani mentioned anywhere on there. If you were to look it up in the official record books from the registration of the units then I'm sure it could be figured out but, unless I'm missing it somewhere, I don't see it on the Deed itself.
