Do You Wear Your Mask....

Chick-Fil-A is the only one I trust.

They are being super-careful & have a really good touch-free method for delivering the food to customers.

We’re traveling on Sunday, &, since Chick-Fil-A isn’t open on Sundays, I have NO IDEA what we’re going to do.
We've had good luck ordering curbside from Panera. We order and pay thru the app. Pull into the appropriate spots and a masked employee brings out the order and will place it in the trunk...unless you have drinks, they like to hand those through the window.

Yes, of course. Put yourself in the workers' shoes; would you want to spend your workday, during a pandemic, exposed to maskless people rolling down their car windows to talk loudly to you? It's so easy to pop my mask on just before I roll down the window and then take it off after I have driven away.

But you should have on your mask if you aren’t actually eating. Also, in my opinion, if the server is approaching/at your table.

I generally try to do this. I will keep my mask on until I have ordered and put it on if I see the server coming toward us - they sometimes show up unexpectedly thuogh. I really haven't been out to eat during this thing except for a couple of times at a favorite Chinese restaurant that is usually not very busy at dinner time.

Thank you!! That’s good to know!

but at the prescription pick up, the gas station & the bank drive through I do both a mask and gloves and if I need to sign something it's with my own pen.
I do not at prescription pickup, separated by bullet proof glass. I never go to the bank and interact with a person. I do use my own pen if I have to sign anything, always have. Gas station, yes for mask and a throw away glove. And then an alcohol hand wash when back in the car.

[snip[

When I'm eating at outdoor venues, I find myself clutching the cloth napkin in my right hand (I eat Continental-style), so that I can cover my mouth with it when the server approaches. It's a lot faster than fumbling to get my mask positioned every time they pop up next to the table.

Last weekend we had a VERY attentive server, which normally I would appreciate, but he came around so often that I was having trouble managing to eat my food between visits.

Yes. I’ll run through Starbucks or Dutch Bros with dd. Since I’m driving and interacting at the service window, I’ll wear one. She’s in the passenger seat and does not.

Dan, you are so my DH!! He goes one step further.....he will wash down his steering wheel and other parts of his truck by the time he gets home. He is soooooo protective of me. You guys are good men and possibly a tad crazy in a good way. :goodvibes

I have to ask, who the heck are you interacting with at a gas station, and why would you wear a mask in your car, outside, while the bank teller is inside?

I can't wrap my head around this insanity any more.
If you live in New Jersey as I do, you can't pump your own gas by State law.vThere are gas station workers who you interact with. So I wear one when getting gas

Yes but no judgement if you don't. If they wanted you to wear one there would be a sign up.

All the drive thrus I've been through recently have signs saying that customers approaching should wear some sort of face covering. It's a little bit weird though. I've had the same employee who took my cash in a basket than drop the change directly in my hand rather than have me scoop it up in the basket.

I put my mask on for the pick up window. Also open my sunroof and both front windows while on line. Do the same thing at gas stations.

cant speak for the bank teller and prescription pick up windows, but around here gas stations have attendants that pump gas for you and will come to your window to take your payment so, yeah, mask on.

I do not think any drive throughs here take cash. Or at least it says contactless/credit card preferred.

I think both in n out and chick fil a here have those signs. They usually have long lines and the line does go quick but there are employees taking your order right at your car window and usually not through a speaker. Even if I place and order for pick up and they are bringing it out to my car I will wear a mask. even if i am in the passenger seat and I am ordering or not i will wear a mask.
