***Official March 2021 Thread***

Yikes. No way to postpone the trip a few days I suppose? I haven't had the vaccine, but have had Covid, and if the reaction some people report is as bad as the disease felt, I can tell you that driving would have been physically impossible. Plus it would stink to get all the way down and not be able to enter a park because of a fever.
Everyone I know who's gotten the 2nd dose the side effects were like the flu for about 24 hrs max. I ran a fever for about 6 hrs. Went away with no meds.

We are planning to nail down our ADRS today or tomorrow so once we do I will be releasing a few Sci-Fi ADRs, a LTT, a Beaches and Cream and one or two Yak &Yeti (I can't remember if I have two or three times reserved right now). Once I know which ones we are releasing I'll post the times and dates in case anyone on this thread needs any of them. This is all for the dates of 21st-26th and is for 6 people.

On a side note, since LA is opening back up some my niece has finally been able to return to work so she now has to fly down on our first park day instead of the day before. Which is actually her birthday! Thankfully she can handle the time change from LA to Disney and maybe will sleep a bit on the red eye flight she is taking. She will only miss about 3 or 4 park hours that day so she won't miss a lot. She did the college program and worked at MK so the good thing is she knows her way around so we don't have to worry about her getting lost like we would if it were our middle sister (she isn't really into Disney so rarely goes).
Oh Beaches and Cream! I've been trying to get one of those, but we have 7 ppl and its been a real pain trying to find stuff for 7

We leave Saturday morning and of course our oldest cat seems to be getting sick. She has chronic upper respiratory issues so I have a call into the vet hoping they will take pity on me and just give us a round of antibiotics without having to take her in since it's a known issue for her. I just don't want our cat sitter to have to deal with it if it starts to get worse while we're gone.

@Bama Mom - have you started packing yet? We are getting so close!

Girl yes! I'm actually almost completely packed as far as clothes go. I am finishing up my last shirt today and then I'll add that. Then all I will have to add is "unmentionables", a couple pair of long leggings (just in case) and my shoes. Then just last minute electronics and personal hygiene things. I am so ready for this trip. What about you?

On a side note my hubby has a stress test scheduled for the friday before my trip. I told him (jokingly) that he better not have a broken heart because I need this trip so that has been keeping me side tracked a bit as well.

Oh no! Hopefully they will. I hope kitty feels better!

The beaches and cream is Friday the 26th. Either at 5:35pm or 9:05 pm. We were gonna end our trip with the kitchen sink but because some have early pick up for ME (like 4 am pick up) some don't want to do the 9pm one. So we may keep the earlier one so those of us that want to can go back and do more park stuff after the kitchen sink and finish the trip with rides instead and those that don't can go back and pack up and get to bed earlier.

Thanks. Poor girl is 17 so she can go from fine to really sick quickly. The antibiotics generally clear her right up and they did a bunch of blood work in December that showed no other issues so fingers crossed they make it easy on me!

You are far ahead of me - I am doing "Disney laundry" tomorrow and starting to pack this weekend. I hope your husband's test goes okay!

Thanks. I'm sure he will be okay. They thought that he had AFib at his regular physical so they sent him to a cardiologist who in turn said he didn't have AFib but wanted to do a stress test and a couple other tests just in case and when they finally called with the date and time it happened to be the friday before I leave. Obviously they weren't too concerned because its been over a month since he went for his initial cardiologist appointment so there was no rush on the doctors part.

We learned the "just in case" the hard way on our last March trip. The forecast was showing all upper 80s for our week and then took an unexpected dip to cold weather!

If you have a Beaches and Cream for 6 on 3/22 - I'd love to coordinate with you! My best friend and her son will be joining us for a few days and we have a B&C reservation for four that night, I'd love to switch it so they can join us.

The only beaches and cream we have that we will drop is on the 26th. Sorry.

That's what I'm afraid of. Right now weather predictions are saying upper 70's-80 degrees but I know a lot can happen over the course of ten days to change that. Plus most of us are cold natured (thanks anemia!) so we get chilly pretty easily.

I am jealous of those of you already packing. I still need to BUY clothes for our trip that starts in 9 days. I got fat (thanks covid) and my kids grew so nothing from last summer fits.

LOL I've been fat for a while so I can't blame covid. That's why I'm thankful for leggings.
