Official 2021 "Disney After Hours Boo Bash" Thread

That's actually a misleading title. When you read the blog, they say they called the Help Desk and asked to be transferred into the ticketing queue but the Help Desk is no longer transferring people. And as many of us know here on this thread, calling the ticketing line directly typically gives you a busy signal. So the authors concluded that the "ticketing line is down". Which isn't entirely accurate.

I tried repeatedly using my cell this morning (Verizon) on the 4240 number and couldn't get through at all. Had the busy signals and the dropped dial and the party you're trying to reach is unavailable messages over and over. Called once at lunch on my office land land just for the heck of it and got right in. Hold time was 1 hr 40 minutes and got my two tickets for 10/26.

I really didn't want to use my work phone but once I was on hold I didn't want to hang up. My boss is at Disney now so hopefully she'll understand. lol.

Just so everyone knows: I called the '7529' number above, it finally picked up and was silent for a while, then I heard the "menu voice" say "I'm sorry, I didn't get that" and so I hit 0 and it took me to the dining help desk. He said we have to call the 4240 line unless we are DVC, and the system is just bogged down, he suggested waiting until tomorrow when everything calms down, but he couldn't even transfer me.
That is exactly what happened to me.

I have been trying to call forever! I called from 7-8 until I had to go to a work meeting, and then I've been trying since 9 am and only getting busy signals or circuits busy or failed calls. Then others call and get right through after only a half hour. This is more than frustrating.

I tried the DVC Member Services and the 4240 number off and on since they opened and more times than I wish to acknowledge - failed calls and busy from early this morning until about 1PM Eastern Time when the member services call with through to on hold. Was on hold for about 35 minutes and was able to purchase tickets for 10/12 and 10/19. Given they are Tuesdays I didn't think they would sell out that quickly but with issues getting through I was beginning to wonder. The cast member was terrific. She had me repeat both confirmation numbers to make sure I had them written down correctly. She said that I would need to assign the tickets in My Disney Experience and when I did so I should make sure that child tickets are assigned to children and adult tickets assigned to adults or it would cause a problem when we go to use them. By the time I hung up the email confirmation was in my email in box. I went to My Disney Experience and clicked on link tickets. I put the confirmation number in the window for the ticket number and all of the tickets attached to that confirmation showed up. I was able to link them all to the people who will be using them. I did the same with the other confirmation number. I don't see them linked under the ticket and memory maker tab in my plans but they may show up eventually. I am not concerned since I have the confirmation numbers and email. Glad this is done. Wish they didn't make it so hard.

I've been trying off and on since 7am. It took a lot of tries to get on hold, but once on hold it wasn't so bad.
