STAR WARS: GALACTIC STARCRUISER Official Information & Questions Thread

Why are some allowed to hold as long as they want and end up getting to book, with or without an email code? while others (me) who called literally exactly when the phone # was activated are told the booking line is closed after waiting 2hr. Can someone please help me understand the inconsistency? Beyond frustrated...

omg I’m so sorry! You were on hold exactly at 7am?? damn.

Sounds like they took as many calls at 7 am as would fit into their six hour max wait time on the booking line, and the rest of us are being told to call back. I’ve spoke to the prescreen dept 4 times now with no luck, and first call was right at 7. Frustrating for sure!

so, a question that I should have asked when I was booking: if part of the package price includes admission to Hollywood Studios for a day, but since we have AP's, could we have a price reduction for that part? (I think I know the answer is going to be no)

and also, do we need to make a park reservation for that day?

I also called in right at 7am ET. I was on hold total for just over 7 hours before someone picked up from the reservations department. I was able to book for mid april during the week and get captains table. This is very exciting. All in for 2 adults plus 14 year old (at time of travel) and travel insurance it was about 6100. This was for a standard room. it was about 7400 for Galaxy class suite. The Captain suite was sold out for the days we selected so I couldn't get pricing.

I didn't ask about park reservations for that day, but I was told having an annual pass does not discount the stay at all even though the included ticket was redundant.

pretty sure the answer is no on question #1, but I sure would like to know the answer to question #2. Pretty sure we wouldn’t need park reservations, just like we didn’t when we did the Remy preview.

I have a question that someone might be able to help me with. Kevin told me that we can possibly add another person or two to our room at a later date (however time is an important factor here, because of the capacity & table space), but how much is it per person or add people onto our reservation? It’s a little confusing.

I also would love to know the answer to the vaccination question but I guess we’ll find out soon enough.

One thing that is a plus about being an AP though is not having to pay extra for the photo pass package….

Got in through DVC:

Timeline:
9am: Started on hold, told 260 minutes.

1110am: DVC Rep picked up. Gave me all the points information and went over the point disclosures (conversion to reservation points). Only had to use points for one person (did not ask if it could be a third person since I had extra points from banking during COVID and planned on using them). Told me that I would go back on hold while they contacted reservation line. Also priced alternate day if I did not get my first choice.

130pm: Hold music stopped and DVC rep came on. Said I was booked and no problems. DVC rep was very helpful and knowledgeable. Booking is for opening day, Captains Table was no longer available. Full charge to card (not a deposit situation if going through DVC).

To the spire.

So, for a standard cabin pricing it’s generally 3x the cost of a typical Deluxe stay, give or take, for two days, 2 nights, with meals….for a very cool, unique experience. Doesn’t sound as bad when you look at it that way, as opposed to the big numbers being thrown about. Of course that is only because a Deluxe Disney stay is pretty darn pricey in its own right.

Congrats to those that have booked, sorry to those who have (so far) been skunked.

While I didn’t make popcorn, it’s sure been interesting following your sagas!

For this year at least :) Unless you select the photopass add on in the newly released AP packages...

right, I should have said. Our platinum passes are good through the end of April, so until then, we are good. :)

So I have been trying since 7:30am eastern. Haven’t ever been given any opportunity to hold on the 7379 number, despite hundreds of attempts. I did hold on another line and get through to the passholder line. She completed the pre-screen questioning and told me she was marking that I was approved for booking. But they’re not taking calls and to keep calling back to get in the actual booking queue. For those who have gotten through, have you gotten through to booking via the 7379 number or the passholder number?

I got through on the 7379 number. My other attempts with passholder line were a dead end. I suspect (but can’t prove) that calls from the other numbers just get transferred to the 7379 number after you’ve already waited on hold however long it takes you to get through on the number/route you’ve called on.

I am still waiting on DVC 4 hours 23 mins praying they will let me use points on 3rd passenger.

Approaching 6 hours on hold. Was just advised (by auto-voice) that hold time is 405 minutes. Thinking ahead to the general booking day of Oct 28, I'm beginning to see why people might buy burner phones. ;) Having multiple phones on hold music might be too much of a cacophony though! :D Hehehe.

How often do you get a hold time update? I’ve been on for 20 minutes. About one minute into my wait I was given a hold time of approximately 14 minutes. I wish! Lol. 20 minutes later I’m not at all surprised to still be holding, but curious when I’ll get another hold time estimate.

Called as the second hand passed 7am this morning but received the message saying "all annual passholder reservations had been taken and to try back when general sales opened." Knowing that was obviously in error, I kept redialing but by the time I got through at 7:01, I ended up being on hold until after 9am to reach pre-screening and the queue for booking was full. I had called the 7379 number.
At the CM's advice I have been trying to call back all day but kept being told the queue was full. About 10 min ago, after a very short hold for pre-screening, they placed me in the reservation queue. Same as others, had hold music for about 4 min and then silence. now the long wait begins! Super afraid I will hit something on my cell phone and it will hang up!
