Step Right Up and Watch Us Stack The Genie šŸ§žā€ā™‚ļø New TR started 9/25**

An Evening at Epcot with the extra magic hours!

After dinner, we hopped a bus to Epcot. It was threatening to rain and it did rain some. We had to put our ponchos on for about 30 minutes. This was all the rain we experienced the whole trip, a win šŸ„‡ for us! :thumbsup2

We did SE first, love this ride into history! One of our favorites at Epcot.
Some F&G pictures added in!

We also went into Club Cool for the first time since it reopened. The floors are still sticky! :rotfl:
IMG_2022-7-30-104441.jpg

I liked one that tasted like juicy fruit gum and a sprite based one, I didnā€™t write the names down. Bad trip reporter!
We headed to our Soarin LL aka FP, aka money grab! It was raining ā˜”ļø a little more as we headed to The Land.
Soarin was a walk on for us and the actual SB line was only like 20 minutes. We got B3 so not bad. The feet hanging was better than leaning landmarks!
It was still raining and we decided to ride LWTL, this was a walk on for the most part exceptā€¦.we got in a boat with a bunch of teenage cheerleaders šŸ“£ Iā€™m sorry to say the girls were obnoxious and very immature! They were chanting free the fish and other stupid things! They really didnā€™t enjoy the attraction for what it is! :sad2:
IMG_2022-7-30-104355.jpg
We headed out of the land and the rain was now only a trickle. We decided to go find Nemo again! The Sea šŸŒŠ area was not busy and we walked around the aquarium area and said hi to the manatees and Mr. Eel! For those who loved watching Molly from Allears will know who Mr. Eel is. ::yes::
IMG_2022-7-30-104904.jpg

He is not Mr. Eel, this is a Hammerhead shark, haha šŸ˜†
It was getting dark and Harmonious was starting soon. We decided to watch on the periphery. Iā€™m excited to see the whole show on our next trip. I do think I will enjoy it more than Enchanted from the glimpses I had. :wizard:
Andi and I weaved our way through the crowds and went into the Mexican Pavilion.
We rode the Gran Fiesta and had a boat to ourselves, yay!
I wanted to ride Frozen but Andi did not and the wait was still 40 minutes so I passed.

IMG_2022-7-30-104731.jpg

It was now extra hours and the one ride we agreed on was Test Track. We noticed the single rider line was still open as we were queuing in the stand by line. We waited about 20 minutes, not bad! We actually got our picture, I look like Iā€™m passed out šŸ˜µ
IMG_2022-7-30-105144.jpg
We decided to ride one more time in the single rider line, it was so weird this was open! We did not get in the same vehicle. It was still fun šŸ¤© no picture for this one, not sure why?
It was about 10:30pm and we decided to head out.
IMG_2022-7-30-104825.jpg
We got to our bus stop and only a couple waiting. We figured we must have just missed a bus. Well, we waited over 20 minutes and the line was full!
The bus was packed and the bus driver goes to FW first and not one person got off the bus šŸšŒ I wish he would have asked first. This felt like the longest bus ride ever!
Well, tomorrow is our last day! Our flight leaves at 4pm. Our plan was to go back to Epcot for more F&G treats!

Stay tuned for the last day and I will also do a hit or miss review on everything!

The parents definitely had no desire to reign in the kids.
I despair when parents abdicate responsibility for their kids! Seriously just tell them to sit down and have manners!
The Evil Queen is Awesomely wicked
She is maybe the only reason I would do this meal. Everyone always says how great she is.
Wow you ride MS Orange :worship: The green makes me nervous, lol šŸ˜†
My boys persuaded me to ride orange when it first opened and until this year Iā€™ve always been grand but I think my MS orange days are done lol
Iā€™m thinking I will have to skip GoG, the reviews make me very hesitant šŸ˜¬
I had been going to say to give it a go but then I read you donā€™t do EE. It is a lot more intense than Everest but I loved it. Iā€™ve never done RnRC and I hate the drops on ToT so I think itā€™sok to just do the things you like. GotG kinda hurled you about a bit but the music made it!
This irritates me to no end! I work hard as a nurse and when I am on vacation I want a clean room each evening
I totally agree with you and I really donā€™t think itā€™s too much to ask.
I noticed at WL they donā€™t change the sheets just turn the pillows around. Do they even change them at all? Staying 7-8 nights I want clean sheets! Very poor decision on Disneyā€™s part!
We were there for 17 nights and after I rang about the unchanged pillowcases I said I wanted fresh bedsheets too. They changed all the linens the following housekeeping day which was roughly day 6. Ours were not changed every time but they were done a few times. I didnā€™t keep track but it was just about ok .
The service was really bad.

I think service is a huge part of our vacation and should be much better!
We had some great servers and some truly awful ones. Standards are definitely slipping and need to be improved.
Space 220 and the fireworks package at RC are the two reservations I am most excited for!
I was a bit gutted that I had to cancel our space 220 and Ogaā€™s reservations as they fell on the days when my son was feeling unwell but Iā€™m guessing it just gives me a reason to return. You will have a great view of the fireworks from Rose and Crown.

We did SE first, love this ride into history!
I love SE! For me a trip to Epcot is not complete until Iā€™ve ridden it. My sons said it stalled when they were on it and ā€œyer woman in the yellow tights was giving them the evil eye for about 10 minutesšŸ¤£šŸ¤£ā€. Luckily it started back up again and they didnā€™t need to be evacuated. I think they kinda enjoyed being stuck for 5 of those 10 minutes so they could really look at stuff but then they were more than ready to move on. Is it my imagination or is Rome burning less strongly these days:confused3
Some F&G pictures added in
The park looks so pretty with all the topiaries. No idea why this is bolded so no idea how to fix it lol.
We also went into Club Cool for the first time since it reopened. The floors are still sticky! :rotfl:
:rotfl: I liked the watermelon Fanta
Soarin was a walk on for us
Perfect!
we decided to ride LWTL, this was a walk on for the most part exceptā€¦.we got in a boat with a bunch of teenage cheerleaders šŸ“£ Iā€™m sorry to say the girls were obnoxious and very immature!
Oh no! Iā€™m sorry they ruined it for you. Thatā€™s so selfish of them šŸ˜”

You got a lot done in Epcot. Itā€™s my favourite park and you are going to love how convenient it is when you stay at YC. We could see the nightly fireworks from our room which was amazing and I lost count of the days we wandered into France for breakfast. Sigh- wish I could do that now. Happy times šŸ˜Š

despair when parents abdicate responsibility for their kids! Seriously just tell them to sit down and have manners!
I donā€™t get it either. The parents act like the kids are invisible. Itā€™s almost like if they pretend they arenā€™t there it will improve :confused3
She is maybe the only reason I would do this meal. Everyone always says how great she is.
She is very fun to meet and makes the dinner in my opinion
My boys persuaded me to ride orange when it first opened and until this year Iā€™ve always been grand but I think my MS orange days are done lol
You are much more adventurous then I am!
I love EE until it goes backwards and then I hate it. I do not like the g force so probably not going to like GoG, bummer. Oh well my sister is the same so we both wonā€™t be riding it. Andi would of course!
I totally agree with you and I really donā€™t think itā€™s too much to ask.
Yes that has always been a reason people stay at a resort, it is called vacation, not clean my resort room during the vacation!
I agree, mediocre at best!
We had some great servers and some truly awful ones. Standards are definitely slipping and need to be improved.
Same with us, mostly good but some really poor slow service
I was a bit gutted that I had to cancel our space 220 and Ogaā€™s reservations as they fell on the days when my son was feeling unwell but Iā€™m guessing it just gives me a reason to return. You will have a great view of the fireworks from Rose and Crown.
Iā€™m sure it was a bummer. We are doing Ogaā€™s at park closing and excited for it!
I love SE! For me a trip to Epcot is not complete until Iā€™ve ridden it. We have been stuck many times, it is fine to check out details as long as it doesnā€™t last really long. I also think Rome isnā€™t burning šŸ”„ as much, the smell is less! I love that spot
The park looks so pretty with all the topiaries.
F&G is the prettiest time with all the colors
liked the watermelon Fanta
I honestly have no idea which I liked, totally forgot all the names! :hyper:
Oh no! Iā€™m sorry they ruined it for you. Thatā€™s so selfish of them
So annoying, not funny and our boat kept stopping and the overhead announcement of stay seated and in the boat, ugh! How old are you girls?
You got a lot done in Epcot. Itā€™s my favourite park and you are going to love how convenient it is when you stay at YC. We could see the nightly fireworks from our room which was amazing and I lost count of the days we wandered into France for breakfast. Sigh- wish I could do that now.
Epcot is Andiā€™s favorite park and I also love it for many reasons. Did you have Epcot reservations for quite a few days? I miss just being able to walk into France from the resorts! I use to do that and loved it, go when the heart and tummy desired not when Disney said I can go!

My 2 eldest are teachers and they say it's rarely the kids that give them problems but almost always the parents. One wee boy who was being reprimanded for hitting another kid actually told my son that his dad said he had to punch anyone that annoyed him! Eh no! How is that going to work in life if you just go around hitting people you don't like. My son said he pointed out that one day he'd hit the wrong person and then he'd know all about it if they'd been told the same thing lol
Yes that has always been a reason people stay at a resort, it is called vacation, not clean my resort room during the vacation!
Exactly! My sister holidays in a home from home setting because she likes the space and doesn't mind making her own bed etc. I pay $$$ more because I don't want to bother!
Same with us, mostly good but some really poor slow service
We had one really rude server in Beaches and Cream. Rude to the point that my husband, who is really mild mannered, went for a walk rather than wait on dessert. We asked to have our table cleared while we decided on desserts and he snapped " I'll clean your table when it suits me!". I was so tempted to write "be nice to your customers " in the tip space but I held my tongue and just indicated my displeasure in monetary terms. He was rude in many other ways so I did leave a complaint when I was sent a survey. I didn't want to make a fuss at the time as Matthew had been so excited for this reservation I didn't want to spoil his fun.

Oh that will be so much fun.
I also think Rome isnā€™t burning šŸ”„ as much, the smell is less! I love that spot
Glad it's not just me who thinks this.

We had a lot of reservations for Epcot but I have to say I hated the whole reservation system. It was a PITA to try and change 1 or 2 people out which we had to do on more than one occasion due to illness or whatever. So 1 day I was off to MK with the boys but my husband wasn't feeling it and just wanted to dander around WS . It took them 25 minutes to take him off our reservation and make him his own for EPCOT. I couldn't do it on the app because it would have cancelled all our MK reservations and it was booked out that day. I mean we got it sorted and the resort staff were wonderful but it was a pain.

So petty! Epcot looks naked after F&G, it's just not the same once you've seen the beauty.

It was still raining and we decided to ride LWTL, this was a walk on for the most part exceptā€¦.we got in a boat with a bunch of teenage cheerleaders šŸ“£ Iā€™m sorry to say the girls were obnoxious and very immature! That's just terrible. I love this ride and they ruined it.

Iā€™m excited to see the whole show on our next trip. I do think I will enjoy it more than Enchanted from the glimpses I had. :wizard:

I enjoy Harmonius. Danielle loves it!

We actually got our picture, I look like Iā€™m passed out šŸ˜µ

:rotfl2:

I'm all caught up! Sorry to hear about the bad service at Storybook and the annoying girls on LwtL. Doesn't that frustrate you to no end? One of my biggest pet peeves. Let everyone enjoy the attraction people!
Your Test Track photo made me laugh; it did look like you were sleeping!

Iā€™m thinking I will have to skip GoG, the reviews make me very hesitant

I can definitely understand why there are so many worries about this attraction.
What worked for me but might not for everyone is: I took Bonine 30 minutes beforehand, I asked for the middle row, and I watched the track not the screens. The first time I did it was not so bad. But then we rode it immediately afterwards and I had to keep my eyes closed the entire time.
The backwards part isn't as intense as EE, but it's more than Hagrid's.
I feel like asking for the middle is the key. I rode in Row 5 and Row 3, and it was definitely more intense in the Row 3.

We had to put our ponchos on for about 30 minutes.
Not bad.
This was all the rain we experienced the whole trip, a win šŸ„‡ for us! :thumbsup2
Really! Definitely a win. ::yes::

Oy...
They were chanting free the fish and other stupid things! They really didnā€™t enjoy the attraction for what it is! :sad2:
Was afraid of that. :sad2:
Someone call their parents.
It was getting dark and Harmonious was starting soon. We decided to watch on the periphery. Iā€™m excited to see the whole show on our next trip.
I have a feeling we're not going to get the chance to see it. Ah well... can't see/do it all.
What makes you come back, right? :)

 You do!
Interesting afterimage (or whatever) above SE.
The bus was packed and the bus driver goes to FW first and not one person got off the bus šŸšŒ I wish he would have asked first. This felt like the longest bus ride ever!
Dang. Then again, I guess it would take a while to load if he asked everyone where they were going.
Well, tomorrow is our last day!
boo!

That sounds terrible, totally rude and uncalled for! Yikes he should not be a server with an attitude like that! Iā€™m glad you filled out a complaint!
We had a lot of reservations for Epcot but I have to say I hated the whole reservation system. I totally agree, the reservation system should be gone now, everything else related to Covid sure it. I hate that we canā€™t go in Epcot in the morning for a croissant in France, just dumb!

Lol, on the TT picture. You reminded me of Bernie from Weekend at Bernie's.
:hyper: Funny, oh my that movie was hilarious and yes I look like him propped up for a photo!
So petty! Epcot looks naked after F&G, it's just not the same once you've seen the beauty.
I love F&G the park is beautiful
That's just terrible. I love this ride and they ruined it.
Very annoying, the chanting by cheerleaders šŸ“£ should be saved for competition and games only!
I enjoy Harmonius. Danielle loves it!
Good to hear, Iā€™m excited about the Rose and Crown Fireworks package.

Welcome back, I sure hope you had a wonderful trip! I agree about people being annoying on rides thinking they are funny!
I can definitely understand why there are so many worries about this attraction.

I think we will probably skip it. My sister is nervous about getting motion sickness or dizziness and I am just scared lol šŸ˜† The EE backwards part terrifies me! Hagridā€™s is about the most I can handle. Thanks for the tip of riding in the middle if we do get brave enough to try it.

I hate the leaning landmarks. I'd rather skip the ride than see that.
Iā€™m with you, such poor planning on Disneyā€™s part. They must have known this was going to be a problem. I almost donā€™t want to ride either if we are in A or C
Was afraid of that. :sad2:
Someone call their parents.
Irritating and not funny at all!
have a feeling we're not going to get the chance to see it. Ah well... can't see/do it all.
What makes you come back, right?
Very true! Are you going to watch Enchanted? Iā€™m excited to sit and have a drink while watching Harmonious

It is cool, a little eerie
Dang. Then again, I guess it would take a while to load if he asked everyone where they were going.
I wish he would have just announced once everyone was on board the bus, it would have saved 15-20 minutes
The end is coming up soon.
Your trip is coming up soon, yay šŸ˜

Last day at Epcot F&G

Tuesday 5/3/22. Today was our last day. We had a plane to catch at 4:15pm. I really miss airport check in at the resorts, this was such a wonderful perk!:thumbsup2

I think removing airport check in, luggage retrieval, and the airport transportation takes away from the all inclusive Disney Bubble feeling.

What do you all think?

We needed to gather all our belongings and say goodbye to our room at the WL. It really was a wonderful room and resort.

I had some iced coffee and the rest of a cookie before heading out.

We dropped off our luggage with bell service and hopped a bus to Epcot.

Our plan for today was to try some more food and drinks at the festival.

We spent the first hour walking around and getting some nice pictures of the beautiful flowers and topiaries.
IMG_2022-8-8-130349.jpg
IMG_2022-8-8-130455.jpg
The first stop was at the booth that had the vegetarian options.

I canā€™t remember the name, ugh šŸ˜‘ and I canā€™t find my little book.

Andi wanted to try the kale and impossible sausage soup.

This was very good. It had so much flavor and the sausage was really tasty. I was impressed!
IMG_2022-8-8-130056.jpg
China was the next stop. I knew Andi would love the spicy chicken and I love the crab and cheese wontons. Win win for both of us. We also got the Kung Fu punch to share.

Andi liked the spicy chicken and I really loved the wontons.
IMG_2022-8-8-125911.jpg
The punch was also a hit.

We took our time walking through the countries. I got a few more pictures.
IMG_2022-8-8-125454.jpg
IMG_2022-8-8-204658.jpg
We headed to Italy. Have I told you all how much I love the Italian Margarita, well listen up, I do!!

I donā€™t care how many bad reviews the Italy booths get at the festivals, they, in my opinion, have one of the best drinks ever!!
IMG_2022-8-8-130234.jpg
We had to stop and get the Italian Margarita ā¤ļøšŸ’—

I wanted dessert now with my delicious margarita and Germany was close by.
IMG_2022-8-8-125748.jpg
We tried the warm strudel with a berry compote topping. This was delicious and a perfect way to end our F&G touring for this trip.
IMG_2022-8-8-130613.jpg
We got a few more pictures, took a ride on SE and headed back to WL.
IMG_2022-8-8-130726.jpg
Our plan was to get a Lyft to the airport by about 2pm.

We got a 50th bus for our ride back, yay! I will show it in the next post.

We arrived back at WL on the 50th Anniversary bus

and picked up our luggage.
IMG_2022-8-8-194645.jpg
I took a few more pictures around the lobby and I saw a photographer in the lobby.

Andi didnā€™t want to be in the pictures so I went up on my own and he took some really nice pictures around the lobby.

It was a nice way to end the trip.

We scheduled our Lyft and headed to the airport.

The airport was busy! We did curbside check in. I love this.

Once we changed clothes and used the restroom, we went through security. I love TSA precheck, best money I ever spent.

We got through very quickly with this and the regular lines were saying 30-40 minutes.

Our flight was on time and uneventful yay! Iā€™m a little worried we wonā€™t have the same luck in about 3 weeks. I sure hope we fly without delays, cancellations etcā€¦

We got home by 10pm that night.

Overall this was a wonderful trip. :thumbsup2

We had beautiful weather and enjoyed ourselves very much!

Resort Hits: Beautiful lobby, grounds, room placement, friendly staff, food and drink options, the gift shop, and proximity to MK.

Resort Misses: Housekeeping for everything. I was not impressed with the every other day room cleaning. It was a quick little once over in the room. I noticed the bathroom isnā€™t really cleaned, the floors arenā€™t cleaned and your bedding isnā€™t changed much at all. Iā€™m not even sure it was changed at all during our seven nights. I also noted garage cans overflowing in the resort hallways. This looked awful in a beautiful resort. Such an eyesore. It was surprising to see this at Disney. Garbage overflowing just doesnā€™t go with what Disney use to stand for. :sad2:

Genie + Hits: The ability to stack rides for a little later in the day.

I honestly think that is it for a hit!

Genie + Misses: So many, where do I start? Costly if you use it everyday, pre set times, no repeats even if there is availability, popular attractions go quickly and often the times you get arenā€™t what you want, the times change greatly from what you choose, if it says 2pm it maybe 6pm by the time you check out.

Clunky to use and you need your phone all the time. Doing the day of by 7am is also a pain. I long for the 60 day FP window!

Park Hits: So many great things to see and do. There is always something new to do and we love the magical and happy feelings we get in the parks. F&G Festival. Parades and shows are coming back to enjoy. :wizard:

Park Misses: Crowded, less crowd control, less CMā€™s, trash found on ride tracks now, never use to see this. RD is not the same at all. The crowds are in full swing now in the morning.

The 30 minute early entry just doesnā€™t give you much advantage for staying on-site.

Food Hits: The lounges are great for small bites and drinks! Our favorites this trip Geyser Point and Bar Riva at Riviera

Overall our food and drinks were all very good.

Best QS for us was Satuli Canteen

Best table service would go to Brown Derby for the food not necessarily for the service

Best treat was the Gideon cookies

Best F&G booth: Mexico for food, Italy for the Italian Margarita

Food Misses: The service, this was more a miss than a hit which is such a bummer. Slow service, water glasses left empty, and trying to get the check took forever at a couple places.

Transportation Hits: The Skyliner, boats, and Lyft

Transportation Misses: The buses this trip! Slow to come and go. We waited 20-40 minutes a couple times at the parks. Long bus ride to everywhere from WL.

Here are my 2 t-shirts I bought and my spoon rest. I loved the red Mickey ears!

That concludes our April trip! Thank you so much for reading along and commenting. I really enjoy writing about our trips on the Dis. It lets me relive the trip and gives me a place to look back at all our wonderful trips over the years!
Here are a few precious memories caught in photos from our trips!

My August trip is coming up, I am about 20 days away from my next trip. I will update here one more time closer to our departure date and let you know if we added or changed anything.

See ya real soon!

Very true! Are you going to watch Enchanted? Iā€™m excited to sit and have a drink while watching Harmonious
Absolutely going to watch! We have two MK days. One with MNSSHP and one without.
It is cool, a little eerie
::yes::
The end is coming up soon.
:(
Your trip is coming up soon, yay šŸ˜
:)
Today was our last day.
:(
I really miss airport check in at the resorts, this was such a wonderful perk!:thumbsup2
I was never eligible for it, so won't miss it. I will miss DME, however.
I think removing airport check in, luggage retrieval, and the airport transportation takes away from the all inclusive Disney Bubble feeling.

What do you all think?
see previous comment. ;)
Our plan for today was to try some more food and drinks at the festival.
Gotta squeeze in that last little bit of Disney. ::yes::
I'm not a bit topiary fan. So I like this shot the best.
Andi wanted to try the kale and impossible sausage soup.

This was very good. It had so much flavor and the sausage was really tasty. I was impressed!
It doesn't look overly appetizing. I'm glad the looks were deceiving.
Andi liked the spicy chicken and I really loved the wontons.
IMG_2022-8-8-125911.jpg
Now those look good!
Have I told you all how much I love the Italian Margarita, well listen up, I do!!
 Okay!
We tried the warm strudel with a berry compote topping. This was delicious and a perfect way to end our F&G touring for this trip.
mmmm... strudel...
All your photos are nice, but love this one.
And this one is a perfect souvenir of your time at WL!
I love TSA precheck, best money I ever spent.

We got through very quickly with this and the regular lines were saying 30-40 minutes.
I keep thinking of paying for Nexus... and might have, but since DD doesn't either, it doesn't feel right, this trip. Maybe next time?
Our flight was on time and uneventful yay! Iā€™m a little worried we wonā€™t have the same luck in about 3 weeks. I sure hope we fly without delays, cancellations etcā€¦
You have no idea how nervous I am about this. I'm flying through Toronto, which is one of the worst cities in the world for traveling through... I have not much faith that we'll arrive on time at MCO and even less that our checked luggage will ever arrive.
We had beautiful weather and enjoyed ourselves very much!
Good!
I was not impressed with the every other day room cleaning.
I wasn't aware that they'd even started it again.
I also noted garage cans overflowing in the resort hallways. This looked awful in a beautiful resort. Such an eyesore. It was surprising to see this at Disney. Garbage overflowing just doesnā€™t go with what Disney use to stand for. :sad2:
That really surprises me. Walt must be spinning right now.
the times change greatly from what you choose, if it says 2pm it maybe 6pm by the time you check out.
Really!!
Clunky to use and you need your phone all the time.
Yeah... I remember telling people that one of the biggest Disney perks was only having to wear a MB and not having to bring anything else.
Doing the day of by 7am is also a pain. I long for the 60 day FP window!
Yeah... not looking forward to that.
trash found on ride tracks now, never use to see this.
What?!?!?!?!?
and my spoon rest
I like that! Been meaning to get a spoon rest and if I spot that, I just might have to grab it. Where did you find it?
Here are a few precious memories caught in photos from our trips!
Looked at each and every one. :)
I will update here one more time closer to our departure date and let you know if we added or changed anything.
Thanks for writing about this trip! Fun as always. :goodvibes

I think we agree on pretty much all your highs and lows. You can definitely see that the hotels/parks arenā€™t as clean as they used to be which makes me a little sad.
I love your photo montage. Such happy memories. You havenā€™t aged at all!
Thanks for taking me along on your trip. Not long now until the next one. Hope you and your sister have an amazing time. Safe travels :goodvibes

We rode SE right away with a minimal wait. We went over to the Seas and rode Nemo, also, with minimal to no wait.
Love that!
LWTL did not have much of wait and we rode this. I love how the gardens in the ride change with the seasons. It was very spring like on this ride, just as it should be.
Same here.
I usually do not get queasy on rides but this makes me a tad queasy! I find if I focus on one thing it isnā€™t to bad.

Anyone else get queasy on this ride?

It isnā€™t enough to stop me from riding it at least once a trip but causes the queasiness more than any other ride at Disney!

We worked our way back to the front of the park and watched the light show on SE.
Remy made me so queasy. I am not sure if I would ever go on it again.
We got back in time to watch the Electrical Water Pageant at WL and more fireworks! Ahh it was wonderful! I will spam you with photos of this evening at WL! The water pageant is another tug at the heart strings activity! I love it šŸ„°
I adore the Water Pageant!
Today is my last day of my staycation! My husband and I decided to update the bathroom upstairs. This was Jack and Andiā€™s bathroom for many years.
Post pictures!
We found a table and ordered a few slushy drinks. Andi got a raspberry frozen daiquiri and I had the Mediterranean Wave.
Looks great!
Hiya šŸ‘‹. Iā€™m back ( and you didnā€™t even know I was away lol). Back from where I hear you ask? Back from WDW woohoo!
We need a TR!
Overall we had a good time but we did have a trip to urgent care for my son whoā€™s skin reacted really badly to the heat/sun for a course of steroids which in total cost $500 and 2 days off him staying inside during the day.
Poor Matthew! :(
Itā€™s my favourite place so I may be biased but the convenience canā€™t be beat, staff are lovely and SAB is great with pool servers to bring cocktails lol. Only downside is housekeeping is every other day which for the price is mean. They did bring extra towels etc when I asked. There is also a lot of painting/ maintenance happening in the general boardwalk area but Iā€™m sure theyā€™ll likely be done soon
Were you on the YC side or BC side?
The only choice you have is your main. We did let her know of Andiā€™s allergy and her vegetarian diet. The two of the appetizers she could not eat. They did substitute the kids appetizer for her.
Good to know they will do that.
The food was all enjoyable, however, the experience was very rushed and chaotic.

We got to meet the Evil Queen at the end and she was awesome.

She really gave us her witchy attitude and threw us some major shade!
Ugh...bad service is not ok.
Iā€™m not sure that Storybook dining would be worth it for me without the Evil Queen. We donā€™t tend to do character meals anyway but I donā€™t think the fixed menu choices would work for my family. I also hate that you had such poor service. I do feel that service is slipping in a lot of places at WDW and Iā€™m not sure if itā€™s just that the staff are very new and not properly trained or that there just arenā€™t enough staff. I sound like a moan and I donā€™t mean to as we had a lovely time and has some great interactions with cast members but I donā€™t feel the need to rush back any time soon which shocks ( and saddens) me as I loved our annual trips and was really pining for this trip. Overall, for me, it just isnā€™t what it used to be in terms of entertainment and standards. We likely wonā€™t be back for another 3/4 years and that makes me a little sad .
That is so sad. I am so sorry it wasn't what you hoped for, especially considering how much you were looking forward to it.
We headed out of the land and the rain was now only a trickle. We decided to go find Nemo again! The Sea šŸŒŠ area was not busy and we walked around the aquarium area and said hi to the manatees and Mr. Eel! For those who loved watching Molly from Allears will know who Mr. Eel is. ::yes::
I love the manatees!
We decided to ride one more time in the single rider line, it was so weird this was open! We did not get in the same vehicle. It was still fun šŸ¤© no picture for this one, not sure why?
I am surprised the single rider line was open after hours.
I think removing airport check in, luggage retrieval, and the airport transportation takes away from the all inclusive Disney Bubble feeling.
Agreed! As Canadians, we never got the airport check in but I loved the luggage reteival and the Magical Express!
The punch was also a hit.
Jack and I shared that last year and loved it.
We had to stop and get the Italian Margarita ā¤ļøšŸ’—
Must try that!
Food Hits: The lounges are great for small bites and drinks! Our favorites this trip Geyser Point and Bar Riva at Riviera
The lounges are my absolute favourite.
Here are a few precious memories caught in photos from our trips!
Love that SO much!

We need a TR
I would make a very poor trip report writer šŸ˜‚
I didnā€™t take many photos ( the males in my life donā€™t like them) and made no notes to help plus when I was telling my sister about our trip she was ā€œoh thatā€™s awfulā€ whereas I was ā€œwe had a really nice time despite x y & zā€.

Poor Matthew
He is struggling again now as we are having a heatwave and unfortunately we donā€™t have Disneyā€™s air-con to cool us down. New medications and creams will hopefully help. It is a bit of a nightmare tbh.
Were you on the YC side or BC side?
YC. Iā€™ve stayed BC before but I prefer the YC. Calmer lobby and full balcony pretty much guaranteed unlike the BC where itā€™s 50/50 full or Juliette. Love sitting on the balcony early in the morning watching the world wake up or later watching fireworks if we are lucky.
That is so sad. I am so sorry it wasn't what you hoped for, especially considering how much you were looking forward to it.
It really is sad. Our first trip was in 1994 and weā€™ve been every year since until 2019 when we went to Portugal for an extended family trip. Iā€™m hoping that with time things improve and opinions will soften. Wouldnā€™t hurt if daily housekeeping and fantasmic were back either! We definitely want to do a Christmas trip in a few years with our daughter, son-in-law and grandkids and that excites me. Cooler weather then too so Matthew will be grand plus he has promised to get a photo with his niece and nephew and Mickey which I am holding him to. He has never gone close to a character! As a wee boy he was scared of them and liked to simply wave from a distance but he promised he would take one when his nephew was born if they were in a trip together and now he has a wee niece too so itā€™s definitely happening. I donā€™t care if heā€™s 20 by the time it happens! šŸ˜‚
