Are there newsletters to follow to be notified of special discounts on the Swolphin? I receive some for Disney World itself and others that include third party hotels but never for these Marriott. I would like to try them one day but not at the current prices. TIA

Unlike the Disney hotels (where prices are set for a season and only change if there are discounts), the rates at these hotels can vary often (both up and down). Even the discounted prices can change so it pays to book a refundable rate, check back often and re-book if a better rate comes along. It isn't unusual for people to re-book multiple times.

Thanks. I'm thinking that changed only last year though, it was $35 in spring of 2022 for our April trip. Comical about the internet. Hotels not including free wifi reminds me when we had to pay for minutes on cell phones.

Oddly, many times when I have booked on the Swan/Dolphin site, I haven't been charged a deposit at all. I have been charged a one night deposit a couple of times, but more often no deposit at all. I have never figured it out.

Do you mean after you select “I am on property” then “text us” ?

I can do both those then shows the phone #. Select that link and it goes to my phone text.

If there is somewhere else you are talking about, I could check that but this is what I have used in the past.

Yes, that sequence. I am on property, and then, text us.

I used to get the phone also and then do a text. Worked great always very responsive to questions. Now I get that error message. And like I said, did uninstall and reinstall. Bummer.

Does anyone have experience with Swan executive suites? It’s apparently the same cost with fees included as our standard room at BWI. I’m considering swapping hotels for our one room of five adults.

ETA: if I do switch from BWI to the Swan, will I lose all of my dining reservations from MDE?

For the last few reservations I've made for either Dolphin or Swan, I have been charged the one night deposit a couple of days after I made it. I'm a member on the Bonvoy site, but have no points, but do have Annual Pass and qualify for the SR rate.

Same for me. I think others have posted about this apparent change in procedures.
