@notatallmagic the photo above is Village Green view. Probably the most beautiful P/G view at BWV!
We were there july 2-8. We stayed by the smaller pool near those little garden inns. There was some construction vehicles parked in the area, they moved during our stay. The workers were mostly painting. It did not interfere with our stay and it did not bother us at all.Hi, has anyone stayed recently at BWI, on the Inn side? Is there alot of construction going on? If there is any going on where is it and did it effect your stay? Going in August! Thank you!
We had the room configuration (we didn’t need it we are only a party of 3) and we had a patio. It was still niceDoes anyone know if the 2 queen, 1 daybed standard rooms offer a balcony (on the Inn side)? When I looked on TP, it appeared that category only had patios.
We ended up walking to Beach Club for this.Is there anywhere at the Boardwalk where we can get a quick service breakfast - looking for a breakfast platter with eggs, potatoes, waffles type of thing. I looked at the Boardwalk Deli menu and it looks like they just have breakfast sandwiches, and then Carousel Coffee looks like it's just pastries and maybe a yogurt parfait. This seems surprising to me that breakfast is going to be so hard to come by! Is there room service where I could order breakfast? We are staying on the inn side, no kitchen.
And then did you eat at Beach Club or bring it back to your room? Seems like a long walk! I was hoping I'd be able to pop out, pick up two breakfast platters, bring them back to the room while my teens are slowly getting themselves together. We're only planning two early starts where breakfast is an issue, one day for HS and one day for AK, so BC would be in the wrong direction both of those days.We ended up walking to Beach Club for this.
Post-COVID, the only hotel that offers room service is the Grand Floridian. Is there anywhere at the Boardwalk where we can get a quick service breakfast - looking for a breakfast platter with eggs, potatoes, waffles type of thing. We ate at BC then took the bus to AK from BC. We did this because we like to do early entry and had a bad experience with Boardwalk Deli our first day (daughter has an egg allergy and they told us after 20 minutes of waiting that the person who has to be there to prepare allergy-friendly food wasn’t in yet). The lack of early breakfast options was pretty annoying TBH. Later in the trip we ended up just buying quick breakfast options (granola bars, fruit, cereal and milk) and eating in the room. I didn’t check Trattoria al Forno though, not sure if that was a QS option. And then did you eat at Beach Club or bring it back to your room? Seems like a long walk! Thanks for your reply. That might work for us on our AK morning, getting everyone out the door and over to BC for some breakfast before hopping on a bus from there. But it really makes me question why we’re paying a premium to be at the Boardwalk! We ate at BC then took the bus to AK from BC. One thing to consider about bringing food back to the room is that the resort is big. If you’re at the far end it might take a bit just to walk to the boardwalk. It was about 10 for us, but we were at the very, very end of the furthest hall.
Picabu in the Dolphin offers platters for breakfast. Closer than BC I believe. Menu: https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/dining/dolphin-hotel/picabu/menusThanks for your reply. Then switch if there is availability. There is no reason to pay a premium “just because”. You found out a little late the dining options at BWI aren’t quite right for you so change it up, nothing wrong with that! If there is no availability, start to stalk and see if any pops before your trip. Thanks for your reply. Thanks for that info! I saw that there was also a Java bar in the Swan which has Mickey waffles at breakfast. So one of those options would work, I think.Picabu in the Dolphin offers platters for breakfast. Closer than BC I believe. Menu: https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/dining/dolphin-hotel/picabu/menus
I am really torn about it, it’s true! The ability to walk to HS and Epcot are the big reasons for staying in that area, and that’s obviously a huge part of the price premium. And having the 2-queens + daybed layout in the rooms suits us. I think we’d be happier there than in a 2-queen room at the Swan, say. So there are lots of positives to staying there. But at the same time it seems fair to acknowledge that the breakfast situation there seems pretty underwhelming for the price you’re paying. Then switch if there is availability. Have you considered booking Cape May for one of the big breakfasts during your trip?I am really torn about it, it’s true! We have a reservation at Ale & Compass for breakfast on our slower morning. I was just concerned about the mornings where we want to get up and get going more quickly. We might just bring some pastries back to the room the night before or something.Have you considered booking Cape May for one of the big breakfasts during your trip?
