Our cabin with United was freezing too!My flight home is delayed 2 hours and JetBlue thinks the cabin should be 60 degrees. I’m too tired to be this cold!

Ds slept almost the entire flight. He did a great job. I only got about 30 minutes of sleep It was so cold and the flight attendants were constantly slamming things shut. We also had a lot of turbulence. This morning I was awake from 1:30-4:30 am. I have no idea why. I tried so hard to sleep. Ds slept all night from 8 pm-7:30 am!@Haley R ..... thinking of you. Hoping the toddler slept and you got some rest on your flight as well.
I LOVE my Disney Parks Loungefly wallet. Card slots, coin pouch with zipper, and pockets that hold other “stuff”. I’ve got about 20 cards in there at the moment - CCs on one side, IDs and membership cards on the other, and vaccine cards just in case!Any recommendations for a leather women's wallet that will have a bunch of slots for credit cards? It's time to replace my wallet.
Our flight to LHR I felt like that. Biz seat did not help me sleep. In fact I felt claustrophobic and flight attendants moving around making noise didn’t help either. I am just not a good sleeper regardless of where.Ds slept almost the entire flight. He did a great job. We’ve been giving him little melatonin tablets to chew before bed and they’ve helped tremendously! We weren’t sure if they would help or not. I think tonight we’re gonna try without since he seems to have adjusted to the time change nowSo glad he slept well! And ugh on you not sleeping.
I’ve seen this happen often. I’m fairly confident that basic economy fares are only available booking directly with AA, and often times fares are higher when booking through a travel portal.Planning on booking DD a one way from RSW to ORD on AA with UR points (or MR). When I look at AA's website, there is a nonstop with Basic economy for $99 or main cabin at $134. When I look on Chase or Amex website, they only list the same flight for $227 main cabin. No option for basic economy.
Am I missing something? I know I've booked basic economy AA fares before on Chase.
I have a Polaris lounge question. We fly into Dulles on Polaris, staying the night at a hotel, then fly United the next day home (not business). Are we able to use the Polaris lounge or probably not since the flight that day isn’t business class?
I spent a month every summer in Michigan City as a kid. The number of times I've climbed Mt. Baldy would be shocking to many, going back to when you could run up and down anywhere on it. One of my favorite pictures is me on top of Mt. Baldy with the skyline clearly visible in the background.I agree. I live relatively close to the Indiana Dunes. They are a nice option to have for a close beach day. However, they are surrounded by industrial sites. So it isn't the picturesque escape that a place like Sleeping Bear Dunes. One note, though, on a clear day, there's a beautiful view of the Chicago skyline from the Indiana Dunes.
AA may just not make BE available to 3rd parties like what Chase and AMEX use. One thing to be wary of, every AA flight I've been on has denied carry ons for everyone after group 6 and forced gate checking. With a BE ticket you will be group 9 unless you have the CC or high status.Planning on booking DD a one way from RSW to ORD on AA with UR points (or MR). Oof! I’m so sorry. This sounds like something I would do, and beat myself up for who knows how long. With that said I appreciate you posting this because it should be a cautionary tale for everyone (including myself) to pay extra attention when applying for a CIP. I think with Chase naming their cards so similarly this has to be something that happens quite frequently. Again so sorry. You guys, I made a mistake. I accidentally applied for the Chase Ink Premier
I didn't realize until I logged in to the Chase Travel portal to move my points and saw this message:
Moving points to Ink Business Premier is final and irreversible. Ultimate Rewards points cannot be moved from the Ink Business Premier card to another Chase card.
At least I'll earn 2.5% cash back on our roof replacement, should earn 19,000 points from that one transaction. I guess I'll cash out $1,200 from the SUB.
The wasps here in Munich are no joke. We tried eating lunch at the englisch Garten today and they were all over our food. We ended up not finishing our meal. They were taking chicken off my plate Then we went to a bakery and the entire case of pastries was swarmed with wasps. They had to make sure none got in our bag before they closed it up. Dh is allergic and we don’t know if ds is. I didn’t realize they were such a problem here
I had no idea it was a problem. I never saw any posts about it when planning our trip. I guess they’re just used to it here. We had an awful time trying to eat lunch today. The food was so good but we couldn’t enjoy it at all. Dh brought Benadryl thankfully and I’m hoping ds isn’t allergicThat sounds horrifying! Apparently it's an issue in August and September. Here's an article about it (trigger warning, closeup photo of a wasp). Link
I’ve only ever been walked when I showed up late at night.Okay frequent travelers on points: am I correct in thinking that I have seen reports suggesting that people who have booked hotel stays on points are more likely to get "walked" (is that the technical term?) when a hotel is overbooked?
Starting to stress a bit about the hotel for the TS show. Hyatt seems to have two good options, and I have lots of UR points, so I thought I might transfer the UR points to Hyatt. But ending up without hotel rooms would be a serious problem.
Am I being smart or paranoid to think it might be better to pay cash for at least one room (we will need two)?
Yes, I think getting walked has more to do with when you show up vs how you pay for the room. As long as you are planning on checking in before the show I would think you'd be fine.I’ve only ever been walked when I showed up late at night.
