I am not aware of Captain Mickey and Captain Minnie doing a meet and greet together.
Do you mean a group photo with all the characters and the Guest/party? Or just the characters on their own? Or like at See Ya Real Soon?
I know in 2019 I got a picture with Captain Mickey and Minnie both in same photo. I believe they may have added it special since we didn't go to Castaway Cay since a Hurricane hit it

Hello - another question about the end of cruise survey. Is it correct that the ratings about the main dining room dinners food are considered as towards the serving team? Ie if I rate the team high and rate the food low, it is still looked at as a negative towards the serving team?

Thanks!
I don’t have much to do with the dining team so I am unsure of the correct answer. I will find out and get back to you

@DisneyKatie1 character performers have shared cabins and they are small! We are onboard for many months and you do get used to it. I don’t really spend much time in my cabin anyway.
The food is not too bad, can become repetitive after a while. It can be difficult if you are a picky eater or have allergies.
Yes, performers have Guest privileges, meaning we can enjoy the ship in our time off. This is not the same for every department so we are very lucky.
And yes we can get off in ports if we have time. Mostly the ones we have been to a lot, people get off the ship for coffee, food and wifi!
What are the pros and cons of working on a ship?

How do people get photos with all of the characters in the lobby? I’ve seen photos on Instagram with people in a group setting and I’m not talking about the private character photo at the end of the cruise or is there any photographs with Mickey and Minnie together as captain?
You mean like these? We were able to get a variety of big group pictures on our WBTA in 2019. Not sure if they still do them after Covid. I think they only did/do them on very long cruises. Never had them available on any of my other cruises.1192-44982703-Classic CL Mickey Pirate 4 MS-41150_GPR.jpg20190919_195949944_iOS.jpg20190921_200414803_iOS.jpg20190923_150024837_iOS.jpg

I'm sorry some of your interactions with (adult, I assume) guests have been less than magical.

On one cruise just DH and I were passing a M&G line for Tink. I wanted a pic with Tink and DH went along with it. Tink seemed REALLY uncomfortable. We just made sure to not get too close to her and make the photo quick and leave. We felt really bad about making her uncomfortable. We didn't do anything to precipitate it, so it had to be caused by prior interactions she'd had.

Luckily, people who are not there to see the characters for the right reasons are in the minority. And out of hundreds and hundreds of times hanging out with my character friends, the positive, joyful and magical interactions I’ve had with Guests of all ages make up for anything and everything else

What are the pros and cons of working on a ship?
Pros would be my actual role (which in itself is nothing to do with ship life), travelling to different places, working with people from all around the world.

The biggest con would be missing my family because I am away for many months at a time

Open House is when one of the Youth spaces is open to anyone onboard. This means you can’t drop your child off at this time
What do I do at that time if i have reservations for something? Is there something else the kids do during that time?

Do you prefer being on the cruise line or at disney world?

If you have questions and can’t find the answer, please send them my way and I can try and help.

How the heck do I get from the second floor of Hero Zone (on the Wish) out to the deck that's outside of it? Every entrance is "employees only" on one side and "do not enter" on the other side.
Speaking of, I accidentally went through a door and found myself backstage (on the way out (I turned around after thinking "I don't think I should be back here") I saw the warning sign that you're about to go on-stage). While it was by accident, because I was looking for a way out to the deck, I'm wondering if I'm now on some kind of DCL watch list... 🤔

I was discussing this with my manager and some other CMs today. My manager and one CM said they had participated in this kind of group photo once on a PC and TA cruise
Yes TA/Panama/Hawaii are the classic ones to get these but some of the longer European ones had one as well some seasons. But TA and Panama you get like 3 to 5 of these ine one cruise

As far as I know, you can’t exit from the second floor. Haha no you won’t be on a watch list!! And the “warning sign” is for CMs to remember ther are about to step “onstage” into a Guest area and to make sure they are ready to go.
I hope you enjoyed your little peek of backstage 😂

Besides being worried I was going to be kicked off the ship in Nassau, it was great!
0/10 - would not recommend
I'll stick to the onstage areas from now on. :rotfl:
May I ask what was it that you saw that was great?

Mags2002, is it the same policy on the ships as it is at WDW? You either have to be wearing your name tag or your ID card must be visible.

CMs seeing anyone unaccompanied by a CM backstage and not displaying either one are encouraged to stop them and politely request to see their ID card.
