We recently got back from a cruise and I emailed guest communications to let them know how amazing some specific cast members on the ship had been. They said they would let the appropriate leadership know. Do they really pass that information on? We left their names on the comment cards at the end of the cruise, but I felt like they needed more.

If it’s the same on DCL as it is at WDW, and Mags 2002 will know, it will be passed on. It also should appear on the CMs record card.

I don’t know if it makes a difference to the crew member as to how many commendations they receive. I was never told that I got a position that I applied for because of the commendations on my record card.

Yes any comments both positive and negative get passed on. Depending on what the comment/situation is, it can contribute to rewards for the CM or warnings if warranted

@Mags2002 I thought of another question! Any ideas for creative character autographs on our upcoming cruise? DS8 has a few autograph books filled and a large picture matting for a frame...anything else?? Yes yes I can google it, I was hoping for some "friendly" advice, anything characters might have seen and thought was a good idea.

I know that @Mags2002 probably can’t but are you able to share any behind the scenes secrets in the life of a Disney princess?
Sure! It's been long enough that I can talk about certain things (within reason!) like how my roommate who was friends with Snow wasn't allowed to go on the Cast catamaran excursion no matter how much sunscreen she swore she was gonna put on, or the infamous friend of Aurora who may or may not have had less than 10 fingers only for it to be discovered at rehearsals in Toronto

Hey @Mags2002 !
Are guests currently allowed to wear costumes if they wanted around the ship (like outside of pirate night or halloween)? I know no one really did anything about it back in my day or were as strict about this like they are in the parks, so I don't know if there's any official policy you can ask one of the guest services or even a manager/leader but I keep seeing videos of these full ballgown photoshoots on board!

Here is a question. We disembarked the Magic yesterday and I put my questionnaire in my back pocket to drop off as we were leaving the ship... except it was still in my back pocket when we got home last night. Is there somewhere I can send it to?

Did you have anything bad or unexpected happen to you? Which characters did you play?
@Mags2002 said there was no nastiness between people, did you experience any of this?

I haven’t seen many people be super creative with different items onboard. The most creative thing I have ever seen was when I worked in the parks. A family had made their own book with a drawing of each character and some facts about them. It was so cool!!! (You can buy character books which I have seen too).
Other things I have seen include a t-shirt, a plate and mug, a binder, a cap, pillowcase and an apron.
Just be mindful that if you were to bring something like a t-shirt, the character will need something firm behind it to lean on

As in full-on character costumes? No.
Regardless of the night/theme, a lot of people just wear what they want, so they could dress up each day of the cruise if they really wanted to but I haven’t really seen it happening
