Recent Mayo Clinic TV commercials...

Have you seen them. Your thoughts?

I think they are very creative, low key, gets the point across. Having lived with past family medical crises, I have to say I have had a misty eye more than once watching them.

If you have not seen them before, all three are in this link. The one of the young man and his dad is a longer version than the one shown on TV. Maybe give them a look.

They give me goosebumps. I recorded the first one on my phone to show my daughter and husband.

I think they’re smart because they don’t push the medical side, they show the human side.

I have seen them and think they are very well done. However, I agree that the one where the woman is dropped off is not the best ending.

Haven't seen them on local TV, but perhaps we in SW PA are farther from their target audience. See tons of commercials for our 2 local rival health systems though!

I don't see hardly any tv commercials because I only watch shows via the DVR(and fast forward through the ads.) I'm a big fan though and think it's awesome that my favorite condiment has its own clinic.:duck:

The first one I saw was the one with the two women in the pickup truck, and I saw it quite a few times. I kind of felt bad because if that were me, I wouldn't want someone to just dump me out in the driveway of the clinic and leave! I would want someone to go with me and stay with me, at least as long as it took to find out what's going on and start a treatment plan. But I guess that is a personal preference - others might prefer to take the journey alone.

The only one I don't like, is where they just drop the woman on the sidewalk and drive away. I always think someone should be there with her.

I agree with you both, that ending did not sit well with me. The first part did, but not the end.

Haha.

Here also, Ron. I watch most in the TiVo buffer, FF commercials.

Awww, that first one was filmed by my house! That diner they are in, Mickey's, is our before-Disney ritual. We drive by it almost daily now during baseball season as my older one plays right by there. Kind of cool..

The commercials were...good...but could be WAY better... the dumping on the sidewalk, I agree, looked harsh.

I’m in Manitoba, Canada and I see them. I’m WAY outside their target audience lol
