How late can you sleep?

7:30 is probably the latest. Now if I wake up at like 4-5 and stay up for a bit until 7ish, I can go back to sleep until like 9 or 10. I can lay in bed all day watching netflix and ordering ubereats but I can't sleep

We get up around 6am M-F for work, so sleeping in for us is anything past 7.

6.5 hours after I went to bed no matter what time that was.

Going to be rough next week as I am going to work a 2nd week of nights since about 18 years ago. First time a month ago I tried to stay up Sunday night to sleep in as long as possible to go to work 5p to 5a on Monday. I was before 7 am wanting to sleep until noon.

On Saturdays I sleep till 11am to noon ish. My wife regularly makes it to noon to 1pm.

I've always been a late sleeper. I can hardly make myself eat anything before about 1 pm. I could sleep until noon every day but I force myself to get up around 10:30 so I can start work by then.

I wake up at 4am during the week. I usually can't go much past 5 or 6 without at least waking up to pee. I can sometimes go back to sleep, but it still wouldn't be much past 8am or so even if I went to bed late (think NYE and New Year's Day). Also, at least one of the kids usually gets up, so I don't get to test my theory generally

When I retired I went through a brief phase of sleeping until 10am or later. I've pretty much settled in to a routine where I'm up between 6-7:30am. I like to hit the ground running so I can marvel at how little I accomplish in the course of an entire day.;)

During the week, I am up around 4am to be at work by 6. My body is so used to waking up that early that now I at least wake up around 4 to pee every day. Sometimes I am able to go back to sleep, but most of the time I just toss and turn until I give up. I come out to the couch and watch tv, work on email, etc., until I feel sleepy again and then I snooze on the couch for a couple of hours.

My cat wakes me up around 6:30 every morning and I can’t go back to sleep. When on vacation (without the cat) I can sleep until around 9-9:30.

Latest in last 20 years was 8:00 am. The kid woke me up for years, and now two spoiled cats demand a thorough belly rubbing at 6:30 every day.

My body always wakes up around 7am (maybe 7:20ish at the latest). It is frustrating because DH takes the dog and goes to bed around 9pm. I go around 11pm. Then the dog wakes around 4-5am and I am the one who has to get him. I take him to the living room and go back to sleep on sofa and the dog lays there and goes back to sleep too (so why the scratching at the side of our bed at 4-5am???). But DH then gets up around 5-6am and his going in kitchen to run the Keurig and all that disturbs my sleep. Why he can't do the dog in the AM since he's the one who takes him to bed so early (and I suspect his snoring is what makes the dog scratch at 4-5am)? In his mind it's because he works and I don't...I guess. But I am not getting decent sleep and am rather grumpy and my back hurts from trying to sleep on the sofa. DH's answer is to go to bed when he does. No thanks to 9pm bedtime...I am not 80. I take to the guest room every once in a while too (when I need to replenish but still will wake at 7am...though will get undisturbed sleep...even if I take the dog as he sleeps in when it's just me which is why I suspect it's DH's snoring that wakes him at 4-5am). I have begged DH to meet in middle and we all go to bed at 10ish but he won't. He gets plenty of sleep, even waking at 5am.
 I'm not a dog person so maybe there's an obvious reason I'm missing, but couldn't you just let the dog out of your room and go right back to bed?
