Now, if the virtual queue or anything after the June 23/24 general opening had limited people to a certain time frame......now THAT would be a huge issue.
Well, I'm going to WDW this november from France and I hope there'll be the virtual queue, even with a limited time. Because between waiting 5 hours or more in line and just having glimpses of the land in the middle of a huge crowd, tired, and without having seen nothing of the rest of DHS, and enjoying the rest of DHS and managing a 4h visit in a more reasonnable crowd with a hope to be able to visit Oga Cantina and other stores, well I really prefer the second option.

Since WDW largely faces a different visitor profile, they should operate differently. IDK if WDW will put a virtual queue or not, but it is essential for DL. I do know that for WDW, if you stay onsite, you should have opportunity for resort guest exclusive extra extra magic hours for a 3 hour block every morning. How long that will run from after the Aug 29 opening, I'm not sure, since it doesn't apply to me specifically; but I presume it may still be active when you go in November.

The Extra, extra magic hours are running from Sept 1 through Nov 2, no word on them extending beyond that at this point.

How will DW's transportation system work?
Will the buses go early to HS the opening day, or just in general, or should I get my parents to rent a car?

I'll arrive november 4 and for now the EEMH are supposed to stop november 2... I cross fingers and toes they remain for a longer period. :P

We aren't going to DL until November, and to be honest, I don't plan on going on the MF ride. If somehow, Max Pass is being offered and I can get one, that's a different story, but I'm not a wait in line for 5 hours kind of gal.

I kinda feel the same way... we thought when we booked that it would be opening later but now we'll be there about a month after it opens. The EEMH has me terrified to even try at this point... if I could at least be assured to walk around it that would be one thing. I hope they release FP+ before we go.... or at least people going before us say you can at least get IN the land if not ON the ride which would also be fine.

you'll have plenty of daily reports.

Been seeing a bit of an uproar over the fence in front of the Falcon (which looks like it's permanent?) and it's disappointing but I imagine they're very worried about vandalism and for good reason.

as I posted on twitter: It is totally understandable and not unexpected to have the fence ... but for those of us that follow the rules it is a bit of a bummer

For sure. It seems we won't see much entertainment within the land other than cast themselves.

Droids walking around would have been amazing to see. Seems like Oga’s is going to be a ‘get your drink and get out’ type place, and the fact that they can’t get Rise to work properly scares me a little. I’m not sure why they’re rushing to open the land. I’d rather wait a little longer and have everything in working order. Should be interesting.
