Do you break bread with them ?, not me, I would always try to get out of it, I dont know why,my personality would be to go to all of them, but I ducked out.

I do have a small group of friends, we get together for breakfast once a month or so. worked with them forever, and we in a fantasy basketball league together, every time i organize it, I text out in the group text, her nerds, lets do a nerd breakfast, I think its best we know who we are

I'm a teacher. I always eat lunch in my department room. I am usually joined by 1-4 other teachers, plus the teachers who run in to photocopy. I have no problem eating alone. I just need to be out of my classroom

My wife and I almost always have lunch and/or dinner with friends every day. There is a group of us consisting of us and 3 other couples and some portion of the group will get together every day.

We didn't do anything like this with work though.

I don't work in a "go out for lunch" kind of office; most of us scarf down whatever it is we're eating at our desks. I don't purposely not do it, it's just not done. One of our group of friends (5 or six couples) get together for lunch every single Sunday; we join them about once a month.

About once every few months I’ll have lunch with coworkers, but usually my lunch time is an hour to decompress and get away from my coworkers. I need alone time.

I work in a school, and I eat lunch at my desk, usually in between other things. I ate lunch with a few co-workers at my previous job but have never worked anywhere that people went out for lunch.

When I worked I went out with my department after hours. We were all single women, so going out afterwards was pretty normal.

People don't typically take lunch at my office. I might occasionally take a walk to the cafeteria with a coworker or 2 but we don't stay and eat.

I meet a few former coworkers, who are friends, for happy hour about once a month.

I try not to have lunch with people too often. Lol. I like to wander off alone. My quota is once a week with coworkers. Twice max. :teeth:

When I was working way back, me and the bank manager took our lunch together everyday to watch All My Children in the conference room.
We hated if anyone else came in, because they would talk and we couldn't hear the TV, LOL
The whole office would go out maybe every couple of months for dinner together, it was a great office of 7 women, good times.

No, we work out of the office so we aren't able to make work lunches happen. But we do have occasional dinners or after-work get togethers, and I enjoy them. There's no pressure to attend, but our job can be stressful and it's a good way to decompress from time to time.

A few times a month, I’ll eat out withe coworkers. Otherwise, I eat in the break room and chat with anyone who joins me.

This was always me! Occasionally my boss would take us out and it was fun. Normally lunch was spent was at my desk in solitude on the Internet, or out running errands alone.

When I worked outside of the home I always left the school for lunch. I would eat and do errands. Even if I didn’t have errands, I still went out. I wanted that time on my own.

Now that I’m home with my kids, we all eat lunch together. Dh also works from home, so it’s family meal most days. I love it.

I usually eat as I work. I have a former coworker that I meat for coffee monthly and one I try to get together with for dinner a few times a year.

I consider my co-workers to be my friends. Our work bonds us; it is infinitely harder to do the work that we do with people you can't trust. We keep each other safe. We eat in our room together, but our lunchtimes are staggered so that we can still take care of our kiddos. There is a microwave and refrigerator in our room so there's no need to go to the teacher's lounge. We order out one day a week together too and we've never had a Monica and Rachel issue like in that other post :)

I'm an elementary school teacher and eat in the teacher's lunchroom every day with my colleagues. Most of us do. There are only 2 in my grade that never eat in the teacher's room. They eat with each other in their classroom. There might be a few in the other grade that don't either, but I don't have lunch with them, so I have no idea.
