    Holy Prices Captain!

Prices are up significantly but there are still deals to be had. We just booked a Bermuda 5 night for June that was very affordable on the Liberty. We also are planning to book the Canadian 4 night after to make it a 9 night. It’s not the trip that we would normally take but it is affordable...

    Partial canceling of excursions.

So, we are trying to coordinate excursions for a cruise next year with my parents. I understand how to link their reservation when booking excursions. We are 2 separate reservations on the same cruise. Hypothetically, if things didn’t go to plans and I needed to cancel the two of them and leave...

Thank you for the suggestions. It’s good to have options.

Thrifty Couples Adventure of the Seas 2/1 to 2/9 Trip Report

Thanks for the review it was an informative teaser as we are going on the Adventure in less than 2 months. We also are doing a gator park/airboat excursion. We are trying to figure out how we kill the rest of the day after getting dropped at the airport as our flight doesn’t leave till after...

Port Everglades and a day to fill.

We are returning from a 6 day cruise in April to Fort Lauderdale and have a full day to fill. Currently we are booked on an airboat excursion with RC that drops us at FLL around 1:00 pm. Our flight does not take off until 11:00. Is there something that people recommend we do for the day, either...

Thrifty Couples Adventure of the Seas 2/1 to 2/9 Trip Report

starvenger, we did an inside state room on the Brilliance last year with our 2 sons (age 16 and 10 at the time). While it took some coordination, we all managed to make it work. It’s definitely not ideal but it works if you have a family willing to work together. At least it did for us.

Thrifty Couples Adventure of the Seas 2/1 to 2/9 Trip Report

I’m very interested. We will be taking our second Royal cruise (first was on the Brilliance, and we did a Disney Dream cruise in 2018) in April on the Adventure. We generally don’t like to spend much other than the drink package on our trips and would like to see how others “do it on the cheap”...

    Brilliance of the Seas info

We sailed on the Brilliance in April Last year. A family of 4 (2 adults and 2 sons, 16 and 10). We did a 5 night with stops in Key West and Cozumel. This was our first Royal cruise (we had only done one Disney cruise prior to this). We really enjoyed the ship. We did have some concerns going...

    Amazing Flights of Passage

It is by far the best attraction I have ever been on. The phrase “best ride ever” is overused but this definitely is.

    Castaway Cary questions

We were just there this week and neither day did we get off super early. I think we were leaving the ship around 9:30 or 10:00. We didn’t see a need to be in the front row either. We ended up with a seat under an umbrella and a palm tree each time. We did both family beaches but liked the second...

    Dine With Shamu F.A.Q. Thread

I had some fears once I found out about the changes, but was pleased with the overall experience. The pilot whales were nice to view during lunch and the private show of the Orcas was a nice touch. Overall, we thought it to be a pleasant experience and very much worth the money.

    Thunderstorms at Discovery Cove?

We had the dreaded happen. I was just out in the deep water for my dolphin swim (in a downpour) and they called us in for lightening. We were fortunate that it only lasted about 30 min and we were able to go back out to finish and take pictures in the sun, but we did end up with some rainy...

Discovery Cove: cabana and dolphin swim questions

We did the cabana and absolutely loved it. We were on the back side of the stingray pool, which made for some long walks but it was awesome to have private access and a shallow area almost all to ourselves. We also did the dolphin swim and think it’s a must do, but really enjoyed swimming with...

Everything I expected about Discovery Cove was wrong...

Also, if you are doing the dolphin swim as well as the cabana, look into the Elite package. It gives you a cabana, all of your photos and a few small gifts which are nice. We got a bouy, a picture frame, a towel and a shoulder bag. All were nice. I think the elite package ran is just around $500.

Everything I expected about Discovery Cove was wrong...

It is my understanding (and someone please correct me if I am wrong) that you can request but they are not guaranteed on location. Our host came by when we got in early and asked brand and amount of beer we wanted stocked. (He also stopped by 5 or 6 times through the day and even delivered our...

Everything I expected about Discovery Cove was wrong...

Just back from vacation and we were at Discovery Cove on June 23. First, I have to say our experience exceeded all expectations. It really is a special place. I did not go into DC expecting to be disappointed but the what I thought to be the important things going I turned our to be wrong and...

    NASA launch from the ship.

There is a rocket launch scheduled for our debarkation day in 2 weeks at 5:41 am. I recognize that the possibility of it becoming rescheduled and us missing it, but assuming that it goes as planned, what are everyone’s thoughts/experiences with a launch from the boat? Where is the ideal spot to...

    Dine With Shamu F.A.Q. Thread

I am glad I stumbled on this thread. This is much different than I had been anticipating as I had seen info and video on the “old” experience. We have reservations for next week and I am glad I now know what to expect.

Double double shows on Dream 5 day cruise

This really is disappointing. We are taking our first cruise ever in 2 weeks and have heard so much about the shows and was one major reason we booked Disney. I am still really excited (this doesn’t “ruin” my trip) but considering we may never do a Disney Cruise again (based on cost) this is a...

How many more days until your Disney cruise - Part 3

After almost 2 years in the making we are only 14 days away from our first cruise ever. (9 days from our pre-cruise vacation). I can barely wait.
