Do travel or not to travel - that is the question

That's the thing. New Year is one of the most expensive times, and if they're canceling the party just means the "extras" won't be enough to charge extra for them. In the end it'll be like an standard day but up until 1 am. For me, that's not enough to pay more than double than going on another...

Do travel or not to travel - that is the question

I decided to cancel my trip to Paris yesterday in lights of the situation... not a bad decision, taking into account Disneyland just cancelled the New Year's Eve Party.

New Years Eve at Disney Paris?

OFFICIAL - The New Year's Eve party has been cancelled by Disneyland Paris. Instead, the park will open until 1 am for everyone with special shows, meet and greets and shows. All tickets will be refunded. Walt Disney Studios park will open until 12:30 am.

Do travel or not to travel - that is the question

For me the main concern is that France issues a closure once you're there. That means only partial refunds, chaos, problems, not to mention nothing to do during your stay... you would simply lose money and time. I'm supposed to go to Paris from Dec 29th to Jan 2nd... being on DLP the last 2...

New Years Eve at Disney Paris?

I have to admit this gives me some reassurance. I'm travelling from Spain and my D day for cancellation is December 23rd. Even though I highly doubt they'll close borders with Spain (mainly because there are a lot of cross-country family travels during these holidays between Spain and France...

Covid on rise in uk / borders shutting again?

For anyone interested, Disneyland Paris just announced ALL bookings and tickets (including NYE parties) will be refunded if you are affected by "reasons beyond our control" (which includes "travel restrictions and quarantine measures required by authorities") // Currently this applies only to UK...

New Years Eve at Disney Paris?

Well, from my experience on the 2019-2020 NYE party, as Karin1984 says the party starts at 8, but the park "closes" at 18:30; however, party ticket holders may enter the park starting at 17:00. What this means is: After 18:30 if you don't have the party wristband, you won't be able to ride...

    DLP Refunds

Can you share the email address where you're getting the email from? You could always call DLP to reconfirm before giving your bank info. What info are they asking for? They should only ask for IBAN number, your full name and maybe your ID number; as far as I know.

New Years Eve at Disney Paris?

I guess it'll be similar to the show they did with "Into The Unknown" back in 2019, when they lit up the castle to the song and projections. It was cool to watch.

New Years Eve at Disney Paris?

Well, according to the news I saw, Christmas and NYE open-air events remain as planned. But well, anything is possible. I'm holding my reservation but I'm arriving at DLP on December 31st.... so yeah, I'll be on the edge literally until the end. Lol.

New Years Eve at Disney Paris?

Nothing yet as far as I know. They probably won't announce it until a few days prior. They haven't even revealed the menus for the NYE dinners which are completely sold out.

Covid on rise in uk / borders shutting again?

I'm guessing they'll do their best to keep everything open at least until January 7th, which is when the low season officially starts around Europe. However, I think they might bring back restrictions but they'll try to keep everything up and running as long as possible.

    Fields Family Christmas 2021

I agree completely with what Karin says. I went on 2019 for NYE and the wait for the fireworks was quite harsh. The covered places near Main Street (the 2 long hallways that go from the "tree" to the "hub") were PACKED with people and kids on the floor waiting for the time without freezing...

    Planning for January 2022

As far as I know, both Rainforest Café and Olanet Hollywood are walk in, no Booking in advance.

    November 2021

Well, probably late to reply. If they have to choose 1 for Disneyland Park, they should go to Space Mountain and/or Thunder Mountain, those rides have versions exclusive to Paris. Also, if there is the night Christmas parade, it is probably cool (I haven't seen it personally). As for crowds...

    Planning for January 2022

The first week of January is usually the celebration of "The Three Kings" holiday in many EU countries (Les Rois Mages), therefore it is usually very very busy, so it is highly possible it almost all sold out for those dates.

Visiting Disneyland Paris with Mobility Issues, and other questions.

Just to add a little on what Karin says, I would also suggest 2 days at the parks so you can be relaxed and explore everything at your own pace. US visitors tend to underestimate DLP before arriving, and find out it has more than expected. If you do ride mild coasters, be sure to ride Thunder...

    Tickets

I highly doubt it. DLP doesn't work with MDE, only accepts printed tickets at the gate. Also, DLP currently requires an online reservation once you have an undated ticket but you'll need to have DLP ticket in order to get it. Maybe it could be exchanged at the gate, I don't know.... but I highly...

Art Of Marvel: What’s Going On With The Restaurants?

Well I was at DLP in August and the restaurants at that hotel were open but only for dinner. We actually had dinner at the Manhattan Restaurant and it was excellent.
