1. bacon that has been soaked in Real maple syrup.
2.Shredded sharp cheddar cheese.
3caramalized onions.
4 caramalized bell peppers
5. Smoked gouda
6. Jack Daniles mustard
7.Sweetbaby Ray's bbq sauce
8.Diced roma tomatoes
9.Roasted whole caramalized garlic
10.Some louisiana chefs essence spices

I was thinking it would of been nice to have one on a hogie roll with mayonaise and yellow mustard today. But I didn't have any dogs handy.

Lol!! I have a huge backyard and we grill and have bbq's almost weekly. So, that dog recipe is actually from the mind of my pal jason. He is a grill dog wizard! We actually use steak buns, like french roll buns, because of all the cheese. A good other toppong is cajun mashed potatoes on an andouille sausage dog with spicy mustard, but keep the rest on there....oooh eeeee!!! Thems some good eatins!

Well, first take strips of raw bacon, soak them in the maple syrup for about an hour. Then wrap each dog with a couple pieces of bacon. Hold them on with toothpicks. Fire up that grill. Cook the bacon wrapped dogs till the bacon is cooked onto the dog and looks crispy.
You should have already prepared in a skillet on the stove top the onions, peppers,and in the broiler, take as many garlic "pods" as you want. Make a tin foil envelope, pour in about 1 tablespoon of olive oil, put in the garlic, fold over the envelope to seal it good a few times and roast in the broiler for about 20 min. Let it cool REALLY good because that oil will be hot!! I like my Roma tomatoes to be room temp and seasoned with the cajun chefs essence spices. So, after the dogs and veggies are cooked, make sure your cheese is grated, so it will melt on the HOT dog. The way I assemble is this:
Toasted bun
Bbq sauce
Cheddar cheese
Bacon wrapped hot dog
Smoked gouda
Onions
Peppers
Garlic
Tomatoes
Mustard
Sprinkle with more cajun spices
And enjoy....

BBQ dog (Nathans or costco kosher) wrapped in bacon
On a hoagie roll with
Cheddar Cheese
Bread and Butter Pickles
Mayo
Ketchup
Or Thousand Island dressing

Optional:
Tomatoes
Honey Mustard
Pepperocinis
Wrap all in foil and heat until cheese melts!

Of course we also love Disney Corn Dogs! My DD (13) says they are getting smaller each visit!
