But if you know you want the dining plan, you don't want to be doing a last minute fire drill with the owner. The owner may not be responsive at 2 days out, for many reasons.

Correct though that’s up to them to work out with the owner. But yeah the owner has up until 2 days.

I've looked through undercover tourist website, they seem good and provide what little discounts are available..

If I purchase the 7day package for our family with UT, would we miss out on any offers or benefits if we were to purchase from either the official Disneyland website or Deluxe Resort?

Just to be certain, you are looking for information about Disney World in Florida, right? Most (all?) of the information you have received in this thread is relevant to Disney World in Florida. However, you mention the Disneyland website, which would be for the park in California.

Just something to be mindful of as you plan your vacation. Also, there are a few DVC resorts that are not at either Disney World or Disneyland, so keep that in mind as you're considering at which resort to rent points.
