Once we made it over to AKL Kidani Village it was time to head to Sanaa. We at that point were only 30 minutes late and they were happy we called them to let them know we were stuck on a ride. They were very understanding from that point.
We did however have to wait a few minutes for them to get a table ready for us and so we welcomed the small wait. We went to the bathroom and washed our hands and Olivia checked out the animals outside. We had asked if they could sit us by the window but they didn't have any tables at the time. Phooey! We were really hoping we could since Olivia is in love with Animals. She put the adults to shame when it came time to name some of them.

Soon it was time to get seated and we were seated not by the windows.
But that's alright because we would soon get to go outside and have a little fun for a while during lunch. We all ordered our drinks and we all got cokes except for Olivia who wanted Sprite. Not a problem at all. I even asked Olivia if she wanted one of the drinks that come with the light up Tinkerbell and she said no, just a sprite. We also had the waitress bring us some water too to get us hydrated again. She asked if we had any questions and when I told her that I had put up there about a food allergy she waited to get our orders until the chef came out to talk with us. Normally I can tell what I can and can't have but since it's a different food than what I eat on a daily basis then it was best I do this at Sanaa.
The chef came out and talked to me about the food allergies and sometimes I wish I didn't have them. I sometimes can have one thing and then if I try again I can't. I just wish at times they could figure out what I was allergic too but it's hard to find out everything. I guess I'm a little too scared to as well.
Once they told me what I could and couldn't have I was a little bummed. Most of the things I wanted to try was out for me. So for my appetizer I was given the choice of Tomato Soup or the Seasonal Soup. I decided on the Seasonal Soup which happened to be a Carrot Ginger Soup which was well just plain odd! There was no other word for it except I didn't like it at all. It was warm and still was cold and I guess thinking of soup you would expect it to be hot but it was not and this was how it was supposed to be served. Eww!
Mom ordered the tomato soup, Jason ordered the Lamb Kefta Sliders and Olivia ordered the Kids Tomato soup as well that came with Naan bread.
I did however take a bite of the sliders and they were absolutely delicious! Mom and I ended up trading appetizers because hers tasted much better to my liking! Plus the appetizers here were huge!
Soon it was time to pick out our entrees. Mom chose the Slow Cooked Butter Chicken and Short Ribs with Rice. She said that the short ribs were too dry and didn't taste right. She ate the butter chicken instead until she just couldn't eat anymore. Sometimes certain spices messes with her stomach and she had to keep running to the bathroom. I felt so bad so she just finished her soup and at some Naan bread they brought out for her.
Jason got I believe the Bison Burger on the Naan Bread. He said it was awesome and he would definitely get again!
I got the Tandoori Chicken on the Naan bread and it just didn't fill me up. The spices were just too much for me and so I ended up eating some of Olivia's food instead. We found the waitress at the time to be quite annoyed with us but when you have someone who has multiple food allergies it just doesn't mean that you treat us like dirt.
Olivia got the Savannah Joe which she did not like at all. Thank goodness they brought her out some fries at that time since she wasn't eating anything and more Naan bread too. Something they did with Olivia that I have never seen a restaurant do at Disney is spread a little Disney Cheer to her. She was chosen as the guest of the day and was taken out to have her picture taken with the animals. So cute! She loved it and she even got to take home a souvenir as well which was a perfect treat for her.
For dessert, my choices were very limited! They had several things there that I just couldn't have like the Mango Mousse that our waitress Natalie put in for me. I had to tell her to take it back and I wanted at that point to just have the children's cookies n Milk dessert like Olivia had chosen. She eventually brought it out to me since I knew it was a safe dessert for me to have. Jason had gotten the Banana Kulfi but I don't have a picture because he demolished it before I could take a picture of it. Mom got the carrot cake and she said it was good but she wouldn't order it again.
Jason's dessert...um it's gone!
My Cookies n Milk dessert. It was so good too!
Olivia's Milk n Cookies dessert.
Mom's Carrot Cake. I do believe we ended up taking this back to the resort later that day.
One thing that I have to say is this restaurant is good but for someone like me who has severe food allergies just wasn't up to par. I don't think I will eat here again. Plus I didn't like the way Natalie treated us at the end. Instead of waiting for us to give her the tip money she instead circled the amount to be given to her.
Um No! That is very rude in my opinion and if she was patient enough she would have gotten a nice tip from us instead she got a talking to from the manager on duty and we left her a not so nice tip.
After lunch was over we headed back over to the MK for some more fun activities.
Next up...Playing in the waters of Fantasyland!
