I also liked Ruben and Kimberly. I thought that Clay was great but I put him third, with Candice fourth. I thought that this group was so much better than last weeks, I felt sorry for the kids in this group, last week Clay and Candice would have blown the competition out. I wonder how they picked the groups. Sorry about Frenchie would have loved to see how she did in this competition.

I voted for Ruben and Clay, thought both were awesome, especially Ruben.

I had liked (not loved) Kimberly's performance, but I thought her behavior following Simon's criticism was totally uncalled for, childish and rude. She lost my vote for the rest of the show - she's not a Diva yet!

And, really sad to hear about Frenchie, I thought she would have gone really far.

I loved Hadas! I thought her performance was beautiful.
I also like Ruben a lot.

Something about Kimberly I did not like. Her voice is great, but I just was not blown away. THere is more to singing in my book than just belting out notes.

I totally agree!! She wasn't very professional at all, imo. I just didn't think it was very classy. I voted for Ruben and Hadas, I loved both of their songs.

There's another thread that posted that Frenchie was out, but the reasons were still unclear. One theory was age, one was that she had been a porn star. Who really knows yet, but the poster reported that her photo had been removed from the website.

It is being said that Frenchie was on an adult website. Oh well.....nothing we can do about it now.....


I voted for Hadas and Reuben last night! Hope they do well!

I really liked Clay and Kimberly. I thought the judges were going to roast Ruben--I was shocked when they said he was what the competition was all about--didn't get it at all--just an average performance OR on par with the other good performances, i.e., Clay, Kimberly, and Hadas. Guess that's why I don't own a record label.

I thought the same thing about Reuban. Nice voice, but the performance wasn't that special. I liked Clay, Hadas, and Kimberley (except for the attitude at the end - but Simon loved that!). One thing that Reuban had over Clay was his vowels. Clay kept kept closing his vowels into a dipthong - a big no no in singing. ( Like saying "day-ee" for day, etc. )

I belive Frenchie is in the THIRD group -- next week. I haven't heard anything about her being "out".

I wish 3 could go on from this group. I voted for Kimberley once, Ruben twice and Clay a whole bunch of times.

Kimberley has the best voice out of all of them, but she's only sung one song throughout the entire process. She sang it REALLY well, but I wanted to hear her sing something different to show she can sing a lot of things well.

The thing I like about Ruben is that when he sings he seems to sing the song with real emotion. I don't know how he does it because other people try to emote when they're singing and it just comes off false and lounge-singerish. But for him, it works.

Clay is my favorite. He just has a fantastic voice and can sing many different styles of songs.

Did anyone else listen to all the contestants and keep thinking "wow, these people are so much better than Nikki"

Sharon, that concerned me too about Kimberly always singing the same song. She may have practiced that song every day for her whole life! I’ll be interested to see how she does when she has to do other songs.

Just a quick note, in LA when they were signing in groups, Kimberly and Frenchie did "Band of Gold" and she blew me away with that one too.

I heard on the news that Frenchie was out because it had been discovered that 4 years ago she had starred on an "adult" web site. She has such an amazing voice-it's really a shame.

And I agree about Clay looking a bit like Barry Manilow.. Someone needs to tell Simon that Manilow is laughing all the way to the bank on his Geeky looks and amazing talent... gee whiz!
