No. I am very glad theaters are open for those who wish to go--it keeps more people employed and more businesses running. I am just not comfortable going right now.
This is us!!! Our saving account has gotten huge!! Between no traveling, no dining out, etc. we have socked away so much money!!Nope. They are open but I have no desire to risk it. I refuse to eat out at a restaurant right now too. My bank account has been quite happy about my paranoia
Apparently my local Cinemark is open, I have no plans to go. It is showing Tenet, The Broken Hearts Gallery(?), The New Mutants(?), Unhinged, new David Copperfield movie, Black Panther, and How to Train Your Dragon.I'd feel safe given how empty they've been, but what is even out?

I dont believe NY cinemas are open yet. There are about 5 pop-up, drive-in theatres that have been operating & look like great fun!
Saw Tenet.I'd feel safe given how empty they've been, but what is even out?
Planning to see this Friday, if the theaters are still in business.I went Friday to see Broken Hearts Gallery. Cute rom com- nice and fluffy and didn’t require thought.
Felt good to see a movie again
A few years ago they upgraded the seats to all recliners, so there are many fewer seats in the theaters, and it says they are blocking seats next to your party, and have MERV filters in their air systems, but I still have no desire to go. We aren't dining indoors anywhere either yet.
Hard pass for now because it’s most likely that theater goers will be without a mask and munching on snacks for the entire duration of a movie, and I highly doubt the minimum wage employees will be adequately sanitizing the room/seats between showings.
