Blogs - Who's got one? Let's share!

I've got the list updated to here. Let me know if you want the list organized differently.

It seems like a lot of bloggers use Twitter. It's a bit confusing... not quite as straight forward as Facebook is.

Cool!

Twitter is like just using the "Status" feature of FaceBook but limited to 160 characters. So your posts have to be succinct. It is like sending out text messages.

I actually just started one because I want to run a half in every state and I've been having some difficulty now and again finding what medals look like at the races. The big name events I know can be found but sometimes I like a smaller event and pics are hard to find.

I have never blogged before so it's probably cheesy in comparison to others but oh well ;)

Updated to here!

I did a review on a running skirt I just bought. If anyone wants to check it out, it's here.

Rick - Ok the texting analogy makes sense. It's like sending a message to 500 of your closest friends :) LOL

Hope everyone has a great weekend! And good luck to anyone racing tomorrow or Sunday :wave2:

I just started a blog about my training for the Goofy Challenge this year. It's mostly so my friends back up north can see what's going on and give me a kick in the pants when I need it, but feel free to read along. I have no idea what it will become as time goes on :) But writing about it is actually kind of fun.

Two friends of mine and I have started a blog to keep us motivated to finish the Princess 2013. We met online working on a book blog, reviewing Young Adult books, hence the name "From the Page to the Princess". In November 2010, we all met in person at a teacher's conference at WDW. We all want to get in better shape, me most of all - since I'm the most overweight, and decided to challenge ourselves.

We also have a Facebook page

And, a Twitter

I think we have a Tumblr, too, but I don't really know how to use it yet! LOL

Couch to GOOFY? :worship::worship::worship:

Please don't get me wrong! I truly RESPECT the distance and the challenge. This is not an overnight thing, or even a month or year thing...

My goal is to run the Goofy Challenge in 2014 (hopefully as part of a big family and friends Running trip!) which is over a year and a half from now. :cool1:

Part of this goal is to do it RIGHT, listen to my body, and avoid injury. :thumbsup2:

Wait-- I didn't read this the right way. I thought you were criticising someone for trying to go goofy from the couch... didn't realize it was you who was doing it :) Ignore this post....

I have a blog, but I'm not going to list it, since (1) it's not overly concerned with running, and (2) I got warning points for having it in my sig, since I did not have a link back to the Disboards.

I will be reading some of the ones in the list though.

warning points??? do I need to take my blog off this list?

I don't know. :confused3 It could be that I did not have one of the Disboard images on my site. I don't know how my hobby site could be considered a commercial advertisement, but that 10 point warning was listed as "Unapproved Advertisement."

I would just put one of the logos (http://www.wdwinfo.com/images/logos/) on your site, and maybe ask. I did not put one up, because my site has nothing to do with Disney.

Hmm... I will ask Lily again. She had said to me that the blog roll was fine as long as we weren't selling items or had inappropriate content on the sites.

My points come from WebmasterDoc. :confused3 I thought that maybe I had happened to post something on my blog about trading (as in "I have item X that I no longer want, but am looking for Y. Anyone interested?), but I didn't see even that.

It seems like it is one of those policies where there is room for some interpretation.

I do not know where rules on posting are located. We (DD and I) only try to post appropriate responses. Our blog is strictly for fun and nothing else. My daughter is so into the whole Disney running at the moment that her enthusiasm is infectious! I try to hang in there......today she even posted about a giveaway. Old Mom just tries to keep up. ;)

Warning points? What are those? How do you find out if you have any? And do they go away after some period of time (like points on your drivers license)?
