Celebrity DVC Members

BUt you would think there would be some "B" list name we could recognize that aren't exactly rolling in dough. You know, some Brady kids, Eight Is Enough kids, maybe a few Survivors even some has been entertainers, Bo Donaldson, maybe a couple of Haywoods, Blue Oyster Cult members....the lead singer, Buck Darma??? is Howard Stern's cousin.
Richyams,
I can't believe someone else actually knows who Bo Donaldson and the Heywoods are (or were)! Billy, don't be a hero, don't be a fool with your life...

Bruce Jenner and Mickey Rooney (not together) at Boma during the Walt's 100th Birthday festivities.

Our first year as DVC member (1993) we were told by the bartenders at the Turtle Shack that Michael Eisner and his family always stayed at OKW. Anyone ever encounter them?

Either in 2000 or 01, I saws Genie Francis (General Hospital) and her husband Jonathan Frakes (Star Trek the Next Generation) at the little toddler play area outside of Splash Mountain. I was watching my DS play and noticed a young girl playing and being "watched" by a CM. I thought it was odd a CM would have her child there playing and be in "costume" and then the next thing I knew, Genie Francis walked up. She talked with the CM and the little girl for a while, then later her DH and other child walked up soaking wet from SM. After that - they all walked away headed toward their next ride. I guess Disney must have some type of guides that can be hired out for the day to make it a little easier on celebs.

I saw Brain Dehenny (I Know I can't spell) and have seen someone else whose name escapes me. I do think the Guest Services CMs will escort famous people. (A friend of mine was a nanny for a famous Country Music female star and I am pretty sure they were escorted. This star did not want to be escorted, but the fans became an issue so Disney stepped in. According to my friend the star considered sending her back to the park with the kids so they could have a "normal" experience, but the mom hated to miss seeing the kids at Disney!)

My personal rule is I normally don't say anything to a celebrity I meet. I did get run into in the airport by a VERY pregnant Amy Grant one time and she apologized. Now I had a flight with a guy running for president and I went up and spoke to him (My theory being that his candiancy was going so bad, he would be THRILLED anyone knew he was running LOL!)

Well, hey, if you consider Eisner a celebrity, we saw him having lunch a couple years back in January at Tony's.

We saw Ann Coulter at BCVs last month when we were staying there. A sign was in the lobby that mentioned that a VIP breakfast was being held in her honor. We saw her sitting outside between the BC resort and the BCVs.

In case you don't know who she is, she is a political 'talking head' and author. She is on a lot of those politicial talk shows on the cable news channels. So she would be a 'B' list celebrity, I suppose.

To my wife, Ann is A list.

Last summer, while eating breakfast at Cinderella's Castle, our waitress came up to us really excited and asked if we liked country music. HUH? Well, Faith Hill and Tim McGraw were dining right behind us.

[Bet she did not have to get up at the crack of dawn 60 days out to call WDW Dining to make that PS!!!!!!]:D :D :D

I stayed in room 5013 at BWV last Dec (studio). When I moved over to the BCV later in the week the CM that checked me in asked me where I stayed and she said "Oh, that's Tad's Room" and I knew who she meant - Tad from All My Children - Michael E Knight. She said he and his wife - Lindsay (Catherine Hickson I think from One Life To Live) always ask for that studio with the 1br attached. I asked if they were members and she said no. The view is fabulous.

I could be thinking of someone else, but I thought Herve V is dead? Or maybe you saw him a while ago?

The only reason to join the DVC is to save money. Saving money is the furthest thing from the minds of most celebrities.
In fact, the more money you have, the less incentive there is to join DVC. Wealthy people have access to much more lucrative methods of investing than most people, so tying the money up in DVC makes even less sense for them.

LOL. Plenty of wealthy people know how to spot a bargain. Trust me.

But we saw Dom Delouis, two of his actor sons (can't recall their names), and their families at Marakesh in Morroco back in '95.

Yes, he has passed away. It was shortly after we joined in 1992 that he was on the boat.

In March 1996 we saw David Copperfield when we were exiting Splash Mountain. I asked to take his picture and he took my camera and took a shot of me with him. It didn't come out very good so I didn't save it but I still have the negative. Later in the trip we saw him again at Planet Hollywood. My son's former girl friend got a great shot of him there.

For you golf fams out there, saw Hal Sutton and kids in Conch Flats General Store last October. He ended up doing very well in the National Car Rental Tournament that weekend. Must have been due to the ROOMY accomodations at Okw! :D

I don't know if this counts, but while at BCV last month I was waiting on line at the bar at Hurricane Hanna's to get a drink, the line was about 6 people deep. A man came up to the guy in front of me and started talking to him- The man looked very familiar to me but I could not place him. I was racking my brains, but to no avail. I didn't think he was a a celeb, but that I knew him from somewhere.

Two days later I'm walking from Stormalong Bay back to the lobby area and here he is in front of me again. I get a good look at him and I realize who he is- He's the guy on the front of Fall 2002 Vacation Magic standing in front of the brandy-new Beach Club Villas-Dale Storm. Of course I don't know his name until I return home from the trip and look at the Vacation Magic again. Dale, are you out there?????

I was in an elevator at Boardwalk Villas a few years back with John Stamos and his wife Rebecca Romanj(sp)- Stamos. He's a cutie...but believe it or not, I noticed her first. Here I am all sweaty in shorts and a tank top and in walks this beautiful, tall, extremely nicely dressed woman that you just couldn't miss....then I looked at him and I realized who they were.

We ran into The Wiggles (and Capt. Feathersword) in street clothes on Oct. 29th, 2002. Not just once, but three times on the same day. First it was in the morning at Animal Kingdom. Second was late afternoon in the Magic Kingdom on Splash Mountain. And third was at dinner at Boma at the AKL. What are the odds of meeting someone once, much less three times?

FWIW: They were there to film their part of the WDW Christmas Day Parade.

By the way, they were very nice. You can see my pics here:

This thread has strayed from celeberity DVC members to WDW celeberity sightings.

I saw Kelly Rippa doing some show from there, Insync playing in Epcot, Jackie Joiner having lunch in the AK, Eisner and Jeb Bush at MGM, and of course, Mickey Mouse!!!

But I guess as for celeberity DVC owners, its between me and that NHL coach.
